Islamic Tolerance Alert from Nigeria. "Muslim pupils beat teacher to death over Koran," from Reuters, with thanks to all who sent this in:
MUSLIM pupils at a secondary school in northeastern Nigeria beat a teacher to death today after accusing her of desecrating the Koran.Oluwatoyin Olusase, a Christian, was adjudicating an Islamic Religious Knowledge exam at the school in Gombe state when the incident occurred.
The students attacked her outside the school compound after the exam and killed her, witnesses said.
It was not clear exactly what Olusase had done that angered the students.
Police confirmed the killing and said their intervention had prevented the incident from turning into a riot.

Looks like the riot happened when that teacher was killed.

It was just a female, and a female who'd had the audacity to present herself as a teacher. No big deal. Preventing the riot ensured no mighty Muslim males were injured.
Besides, as the Great Catmeat Shiek of Australia put it, "if she'd been in her house, in her room, in her hijab, this wouldn't have happened."

Don't worry just a few violent muslims, don't worry, majority are peaceful. The peaceful muslims only watched and maybe clapped and maybe shouted "allah akbar", as they killed the teacher. Besides aren't the Zionists more violent towareds the peace loving palastinians?

Why did Ms. Olusase anger the Muslim students as she was monitoring their exam on Islamic faith? Let's see...she was a woman teacher with male students. She was Christian. She was probably veiled for the occasion, although she may have had too much wrist or ankle showing. Her sleeve may have accidentally touched a Koran. She didn't allow enough time for their coffee/bathroom break. She said that they would actually have to take the test; She would not give them the answers before the test. Still, I have a feeling the classroom was full of male Muslim victims...of some kind or other. And, wasn't it nice of them to stop at killing the infidel teacher? They could have burned the school down too...and any church that happened to be the area. Of course, they can still do that and do more raping and murdering if the courts would be so unfeeling as to charge the young murderers with...murder.

I'd say these students have lived up to the high moral example set by Muhammad, and have diligently studied the teachings of the Qur'an. Killing their female teacher for mishandling a Qur'an? Extra credit.

The Qur'an says that Allah curses the one who harms the Prophet in this world and He connected harm of Himself to harm of the Prophet. There is no dispute that anyone who curses Allah is killed and that his curse demands that he be categorised as an unbeliever. The judgement of the unbeliever is that he is killed.

I've always objected to the term religious riot because Islam really isn't a religion.
But whatever you call it, a classroom full of high school kids ganging up on their teacher over the Koran, a truly awful book, qualifies as a religious riot.

Will the murderers/'students' be prosecuted or held to account in any way? Will Islam be held to account? Or will this just become part of the background noise of the general hell in Nigeria?

No reason was wanted or given. Muslims need no excuse to murder a Christian teacher. She was an infidel and deserved to die. And besides, it was over in Nigeria. It's not like this Christian woman had a life, or a family or any purpose that would guarantee any rights that would have allowed her to live. If a group of snot nosed Muslim teenagers want to kill somebody, you'd better be prepared to die, by golly.
Would the world do something about this if it were going on in Brooklyn or Wilmington or San Bernardino? Would we?

This is how Islam consolidates, spreads and reinforces it's grip on every area where it has a foothold. This is why the Middle East has gradually squeezed all non-muslims into the margins and into surrender, into non-existence. Any society that hosts a muslim minority can expect to suffer the same fate.
In response to this outrage, no proper justice will be exercised; there will be no real accountability; violent muslims will be emboldened; non-muslims will sense that the scales have tipped just a little bit more against them; and so on in a myriad of tiny increments. This is how Islam is creeping towards victory in just about every corner of the planet. It wins because never do a sufficient number of people realise the danger until it's too late.

Whew, that's a good thing. Students bludgeoning a teacher to death in the parking lot on the pretense of being offended because she made someone pay attention in class...well that's okay...but NOT A RIOT! Anything but that!
Besides the "riot" was probably a bunch of fellow teachers or students loudly objecting and trying to pull the murderers off their victim. Best put a stop to that. Yes, good work coppers...
