Now that Chirac will be losing his Presidential immunity, would Charlie-Hebdo or any other magazine care to look into the little matter of that jewel-encrusted falcon given to Chirac by Arab admirers and well-wishers nearly thirty years ago (two were made, and the other went to a well-known French contractor). For more on this, do google "Jihad Watch" and "Posted by Hugh" and "Chirac" and "falcon" or "Kniphausen Hawk."
Anyone from the French press reading this? Take a look. You might find it worth following up.

It's a step up, for Chirac... A couple of years ago he got the honnor of having a date ( the fruit) named after him in Cairo during the ramadan... And his date was the best quality one, followed by date Arrafat !

Ah, how things have gone south. Or in this case, north. Forty years ago, many strong, noble Frenchmen resented leaving Algeria to the muslims. For that, they took up arms. The Pied-noirs, the European settlers, and by extension, the Roman Catholic faith, were too important to let De Gaulle sacrifice all of that at the altar of postmodern political expediency. They saw the stakes almost 50 years ago, and took action.
Regrettably, where two generations ago, many French objected to abandoning Algeria to the muslims, today, the French don't care if they abandon France to the Algerians. Oh, where are the likes of Raoul Salan to address this comedy? What would he think of France today? If De Gaulle was a traitor for giving up Algeria, what would they think of Chirac for giving up all of France?
What would they think that a future President of France would be honored with a rue, not in Paris, but in Dar al-islam? And of that rue, the greatest would be that Jean-Marie Bastien-Thiry missed by literal inches in le Petit-Clamart. That's a rue for all of France.

Similarly our sages instructed us to bear the prevarications and preposterousness of Ishmael in silence. They found a cryptic allusion for this attitude in the names of his sons “Mishma, Dumah, and Massa” (Genesis 25:14), which was interpreted to mean, “Listen, be silent, and endure.” (Targum Pseudo-Jonathan, ad locum). We have acquiesced, both old and young, to inure ourselves to humiliation, as Isaiah instructed us “I gave my back to the smiters, and my cheeks to them that plucked off the hair.” (50:6). All this notwithstanding, we do not escape this continued maltreatment which well nigh crushes us. No matter how much we suffer and elect to remain at peace with them, they stir up strife and sedition, as David predicted, “I am all peace, but when I speak, they are for war.”
