Even as hundreds of thousands demonstrate in favor of secular government in Turkey, the Turkish government again demonstrates that it is not interested in according all religious groups equality of rights.
"Turkey: Four Street Evangelists Jailed," from Compass Direct:
ISTANBUL, April 27 (Compass Direct News) – Police jailed four Christian street evangelists in Istanbul for “missionary activity” this week, even as government officials openly defended the right of all religious groups to carry out evangelistic work in Turkey.Officials released U.S. citizen David Byle this evening, more than 48 hours after he was arrested along with a Korean and two Turkish Christians, his wife said.
Christian sources maintained that Turkey plans to deport the Korean believer, though further details remain unknown.
The four men were detained Wednesday afternoon (April 25) while sharing their Christian faith with passersby at a park in Istanbul’s Taksim district.
Speaking earlier to Compass from his detention cell at the new foreigners branch of the Turkish security police in Kumkapi, Byle said that an official police report charged the evangelists with missionary activity, disturbing the peace and insulting Islam.

Dae Han Mansei!
Well, something tells me that these guys wouldn't have been noticed if they hadn't been making an impact. Yes, the Hagia Sophia will be a church again, but Protestant.

Islam strive to remove any other religion from the view of Muslims...radio broadcasts, tv broadcasts, evangelists, street preachers, missionaries, priests,nuns,publications and handouts..
....Islam is terrified of other religions...
....if not for terror and forced fear upon Muslims, Islam would disappear...

How can one NOT insult Islam?
You quote their own texts, and they're insulted.
You ask for an historical analysis of the Koran's development, and they're insulted.
You do what many early Muslims did and draw a picture of (an approximation of) their "prophet", and they're insulted.
You have a seeing eye dog, and they're insulted.
Islam is the true insult.
To the intelligence.

What about handing out, "Origin of Species", I suppose they'd complain about that. Some people. Can't wait until they're in the EU.
Estimate of immigrants by government, 7.
Actual immigration to uk, 35,000,000.

Note well - two out of the four were TURKISH CHRISTIANS. That's right. Not foreigners. TURKS. Just as there were two TURKISH converts among those three men who were so hideously tortured to death, just recently.
Now we don't know whether the two TURKISH evangelists had converted within Turkey itself - i.e. whether they are card-carrying Turkish citizens - or whether they became Christians while living in in Germany, or France, or some such European country, either as guest workers or migrants.
Brave, brave men. They had found something so good, so soul-satisfying, that they simply could not be stopped from attempting to share it with their fellow citizens, their kin, their fellow Turks, even though that meant risking their lives. Let us hope that Amnesty International takes up their cause. Let us hope - although I imagine these imprisoned men are not Catholics - that ALL the world's Christian leaders are prepared to challenge the Turkish government on their behalf.
Somewhere in heaven the Greek and Armenian martyrs - who were slaughtered by the forefathers of these very same Turks - are rejoicing as some among the sons of those who murdered them (or perhaps, the descendants of Greeks and Armenians 'converted' by the sword) are transformed into peaceful evangelists, willing to suffer imprisonment and even death for the sake of the Holy Gospel.

Evangel = good news spreader.
Muslim = bad news bringer.
Tough choice, huh?

RE the Pakistani cricket players:
I always believed that a strict adherance to Islam brought the believers victory in all things? So, does this mean allah is a football fan?

...the Muslim cricket players are upset as the coach feels they should be on the field playing the game to win instead of running off the field to gather somewhere for prayers....
.....the team should be disbanded and the coach given a team who wants to win....

It is not suprising that Islam percives any other faith to be an insult be Islam is a brittle man-made religion.
