And if the West falls to Islam, this is exactly what will become the norm here. The more you learn about the goings-on in Iran, the more you hate the Carter maladministration for not destroying that vicious theocracy after the storming of the US Embassy in 1979. Nobody has caused more damage through doing nothing than this feckless waster of oxygen who even now continues to haunt us with his lame bromides. So much trouble could have been saved since that infamous date by affirmative action 27 or 28 years ago. And I perish the thought of this being the future of women in the West through our inaction. That violent thugocracy has to go, and its leadership bombed into oblivion.

The woman in paki seemed to just be happy to live through the jump! I'd even give lil' dinnerjacket a brief hug for getting me through that type of thing alive.

At least "24" didn't end with some annoying trick.

They need to go into something more along the lines of cyber-warfare next season, because they've burn out on the big bangs these past few. (And being able to cripple a nation's electronic 'neural net' with a mere code will be available to IT killer-geeks in the days ahead.)

They could go more into a psychologically rich and mysterious area of the 'inner' world (Manchurian Candidate meets Matrix) for which the writers should read Philip K. Dick and John "The 39 Steps" Buchan and look at the old British show "The Prisoner". Injecting some sly wit and interior suspense between the solar plexus punches, LAW rockets, and knee-cappings couldn't hurt.

(And falsetto is exactly what I was thinking of for Islametto.)

So strange. At a local community college, the Muslimahs escalate the gearing. Their pale, fat faces, cheeks bulging and eyes popping from the iron grip of the shrinkwrapped hijab, seem very sincere as they claim, "This is me."

"You are," one thinks, "proudly following the rules of a 7th century rapist." But the American Muslimah can at least take off the ridiculous costume when reason reasserts itself; the poor woman in the picture cannot, at risk of assault, rape, and death.

.....Under the Shah women certainly had more freedom and opportunities....I guess Muslim women prefer to be slaves and to have no enjoyable life...

...Just what enjoyment in life can a Muslim woman have.. beatings? rape? stonings? life in bag? abuse? a husband with other wives? constant suspicion? ...... but they have nothing to worry about, the religious police are there to protect them....

Male and female police officers clashed with women who were not dressed according to the Islamic dress code....

You'll notice the word "clashed", they mean violently assaulted by the police. When are we going to stop pussy footing about, this is NOT a religion of peace, it is a religion of intolerance, abuse and violence, unless I am missing something in the daily reports of "muslim" violence and suppression. We talk and we talk and we talk, almost like we are hoping that we can change the attitudes of these people. There is no evidence that I have ever found to suggest that Islam is a peaceful religion, sorry and all that but it's true. There is plenty of proof that what they mean by a "religion of peace" is a religion that will bring "peace" by killing anyone who doesn't follow the freakish rules set out by a man whose own wife found it unbelievable that he was a "prophet" (see Aisha: "They lord makes haste to do they bidding", relating to the fact that mohammed wanted to marry his daughter in law but was not allowed until allah "conveniently" told him that the rules that affect every other muslim do not apply to him, the man who is supposed to be the example to all muslims (go figure that one out)).

We talk about the poor young people being turned into extremists by "bad" people. But, in their religon they are not "bad" people they are religious leaders. It's like your vicar standing up on a sunday and telling the congregation to go out and rape and murder in the name of Jesus. Sounds silly doesn't it? Of course it does, because you can't imagine a religious leader like Jesus saying that, the reason being, he didn't. There are many many examples of Mohammeds violence, in fact the quran, mohammeds OWN words state categorically that you must murder and destroy allahs own creation.

I know what I say sounds offensive, but it isn't, it's historical fact. We tend to measure religons by western "christian" values so anything that calls itself a religion, however obvious that it is an invention to control people, is treated with the same respect as a true religion.

Beating and murdering women for not wearing the "right" clothes? Peaceful religion? Don't be stupid.

The Iranian government is more concerned about women wearing the islamic headcovering than they are about inflation, high unemployment, drug abuse, homelessness, etc. They got their priorities screwed up.

I thought the Iranian people were some of the most educated people on the planet. Unfortunately, they lack common sense.
