Speaking out against Pakistan's vicious blasphemy law. From ANI, with thanks to all who sent this in:
London, June 3: Christians and other non-Muslim minorities have claimed that they are being victimised by Pakistan's blasphemy law."Numerous Christians and others have been victimised by the blasphemy law and, it has also been widely used to silence opposition, prevent free speech and to settle scores," Michael Nazir Ali, a former Karachi priest, said.
According to Ali, who is now working as a bishop in Rochester, various human rights organisations have reported an increase in Christians' arrest on blasphemy charges.
Non-Muslim minorities, including Christians, Hindus and Parsis are helpless onlookers and are often made victims of escalating extremism in the country.
"Their treatment is an important barometer of the direction Pakistan may be taking," the Dawn quoted Ali, as saying.
The present stance of the government looks very much like an appeasement of Mullahs, Ali said.

The pakis have a short attention span. Who were the first people to help them when they had their earthquake several years ago?... it was the christians....

Yes, but as the muslims themselves see things, it's allah who is behind the christians forcing them to give help. don't expect any gratitude from muslim for being kind to them they will only thank allah. I think we are slowly learning this in iraq.

And this is why I NEVER contribute to any agency asking for help after a disaster (natural or otherwise) in a muslim country.
Earthquake, tsunami, fire, pestilence, whatever, not a nickel.
