Still more persecution of the Copts. "Egypt: Mobs Attack Churches Near Alexandria," from Compass Direct:
ISTANBUL, June 15 (Compass Direct News) – Muslim rioters attacked two Coptic Orthodox churches, damaged Christian-owned shops and injured seven Christians in two unrelated incidents in northern Egypt during the past week, local Christians said.Witnesses said that a mob in Zawyet Abdel-Qader, 20 miles west of Alexandria, had freely vandalized the town’s Christian quarter for 90 minutes the night of June 8 before police intervened.
In a second incident in Dekheila, six miles west of Alexandria, police immediately halted a mob attack on the Church of the Holy Virgin on Tuesday night (June 12), preventing all but minimal damage from occurring.
Local Christians confirmed that each attack was triggered by a fight between a Muslim and a Christian, but Akram Anwar Bekheed, a local member of the National Democratic Party in Zawyet Abdel-Qader, laid partial responsibility on the government.
Bekheed said that the government had created a permissive atmosphere for sectarian violence by allowing previous attacks on churches to go unpunished in the interest of keeping peace.

Someone in a position of influence in the West , perhaps a president or a Pope needs to draw specific attention to whom exactly is suffering persecution from Whom! Muslims are the antagonist in almost every single incident involving MUSLIMS worldwide! they are the aggressors and they are the ones who are doing exactly what they fabricate is happening to them. These people are a bunch of liars and cheats and bloody hypocrites!
All the muslim know how to do is destroy . we see nothing else from them whatsoever . actually excuse me , we do see these Mythical "Moderates" be complacent and silent and generally stand by and do and say nothing in the face of Muslim atrocities ! to hell with this hypocritic Barbaric Cult. they bring nothing of value to the world.

The Ikhwan have the real power in Egypt. They control the masses, and they determine the lines within which Mubarak can act and retain his position.
We never should have been supporting the regime in Egypt; if we hadn't been involved, there would have been much more incentive for the dictator there to keep the fanatics in check before they got out of hand. Now, Mubarak needs to keep them strong to scare us into supporting him.
I'm disgusted by the powers that be in the West for failing to value Christians in the Middle East as anything at all. Standing up for sanity, putting up with generations of persecution, it isn't worth jack to most of us. Power is the only thing that counts. The Muslims have power; they define the place to us, their voting in Sharia law is fine so long as it is voting, the Christians are expendable.
It is horrible. And it is symptomatic of our having lost our values to a perverse extent.
I hope most Americans simply don't know about this sort of thing, rather than know but don't care.

Unless the media are prepared to stop with their sympathy for these aggressors the Christians are fighting an uphill battle.
The present Pope has gone out of his way to mention this Christian persecution with the Islamic lands. His words are mostly ignored by the media.
The real problem that Christians face is that the left wing atheists within western government and media want an end to Christianity, and they despise Jews. This means that they see themselves supporting the aggressors without ever understanding the real issues.
Most journalists are horribly naive when it comes to Islam. They do not have a clue because they have not bothered to study the real facts about Mo the Pedophile (MHRIH)

But those who do know, either don't have the courage to write the truth, or get rejected at editorial level.
After all, they are just employees of the more insidious owners of the paper.

geesh, our politicians, University people, the Pentagon (the military), most of the CIA and FBI, etc - NONE of them have a clue as to the enemy and all of them I have asked for them to read the koran and hadiths to start realizing that they are nothing but battle tactics against us.
I have yet to get an indication any of the above has done anything yet.
