Yet another harrowing story from the Brave New UK. By Ferzanna Riley for the Daily Mail (thanks to all who sent this in):
I remember clearly the first time I feared for my life. My father was visiting my mother and their new baby in hospital, leaving my ten-year-old sister and me at home taking care of the younger children. The other two babies, aged one and two, were asleep and the original Godzilla film was on television. We were so absorbed that we didn't hear my father come in.
Hearing my baby sister Farah grizzling in the cot, he strode over to discover her nappy had leaked and her clothes and bedding were a mess. The room shrank as my father loomed, more terrifying than Godzilla, very real and very angry.
Predictably, the verbal and physical abuse was directed solely at me, but although I was used to his assaults, on this night the violence took a terrifying new turn. To my horror, he grabbed a big knife from the kitchen. Roaring that he was going to butcher me like an animal, he pulled my head back by my hair, exposing my neck, and held the knife across my throat.
I was barely conscious, but aware these were the final moments of my life. My sister fell weeping to her knees, begging my father not to kill me. He released me and left us both cleaning up the mess, sobbing in fright. My father had almost murdered me. I was six years old.
I grew up being called a bitch, a bastard and an idiot. I answered to a variety of names that roughly translated into the same thing. Sali, harami, haramzadi, kameeni were the insults in Urdu that I was most familiar with. Bhahenchode (sisterf***er) and maaderchode (motherf***er) were ones I heard frequently, but only understood years later.
Read it all.

Wow, I did "Read it all." Thank You, Ferzanna Riley, for publicly sharing the story of your horrific early life. I'm so glad you've got a happy ending! Can her book, "Unbroken Spirit," be purchased in the U.S.? I'd like to add to her sales as well as read it, of course.
Very brave. I'm sure there are many in the "Ummah" who do not appreciate her book one bit.

...probably a reason so many Muslim women are leaving Islam....THere can be nothing worse than being a woman trapped in Islam....Islam is for losers...

Sali, harami, haramzadi, kameeni, Bhahenchode, maaderchode are the words used by the general ummah, the one that is not sophisticated and speaks only basic urdu. There are muslims that consider themselves of a higher culture and they use words like "badzaat" (inferior one), "butparast" (idol worshipper), "jahil", and of course "kaffir". These muslims speak only complex urdu/farsi, and are mostly mullahs and imams.
Gave me quite a turn to see such language. The father of this girl must be an average, everyday muslim, not a mullah or an imam. The method of killing of course, runs common in all muslims, they are brought up beheading animals and seldom hesitate in the case of humans.

Is Ferzanna Riley still a muslimah, if so then this story does not cut it with me.
To remain a muslim after this harsh exposure to islam tradition, then she is only trying to win sympathy for muslims, and to tell you the truth I simply couldnt care less
If she was genuine them the obviuous statement she could make, is to leave Islam and the then give us the facts as to why she left
She like that Spikey Haired lesbia Manji something, is only giving the sobbing hearts what they want.

Ferzana writes towards the end of the article:
To my parents; fury I went back to live in London and Farah joined me. I endured some turbulent times as I dealt with the emotional fallout of my experiences. I had a daughter, Sophie, in 1995, but the relationship with her father failed. I became a Christian. No mention is made of Farah, and I do agree with you that if she is still a Muslimah, she deserves little sympathy. One thing sure - Sophie wouldn't have to go through what she went through.
I saw it not so much as turning away from the faith of my parents as embracing a religion that made sense for me. Today, I am happily married to Ion, a man who loves Sophie and me unconditionally. I have gained experience in the police force, with Customs and in teaching, but I have found real contentment in my life as a writer.
The other revealing point here is that most of these Muslim immigrants - be it Pakistani, Kurdish or other - the traditional Muslim families, as DD calls them - try to micromanage the lives of their children even after they're adults, with the results sometimes being honor killings, sometimes driving such people into the hands of Jihadi organizations, which generally don't mind, say, a Pakistani guy marrying an Arab woman as long as both are Muslims, and in cases like above, driving such people to derive a new identity and jettisoning Islam in the process. As a result, European authorities should note that not only do these Muslim immigrants engage in criminal behavior towards their own families (something that even in Pakistan got too rough for Ferzana's parents, as illustrated by her cousin Imran), but they also drive them in many cases into the loving arms of the Jihad. Given this reality, it's high time that European countries started deporting Muslim immigrants - at least those indulging in such behavor - while stemming any new entrants at least until they could verify that such people are checking their Islamic customs back home before arrival.

There was a reputedly excellent book published back in the 40's or 50's, which I've never yet found, but which I suppose I really have to hunt down.
The thesis was that while societies do not form individuals in any direct practical sense, they create channels that facilitate or hamper the development of specific character traits in their inhabitants.
So in this case, one might speculate that the mohammedan environment in which the father grew up, offered too few discouragements to his violence and too many encouragements to his sense of, what ... entitlement perhaps.
People such as this appear anywhere from time to time, but it is clear that the population of such bastards is more prominent, violent and numerous among the mohammedans.
I am not a determinist, of any sort, but there is an obvious connection between culture and character, if for no other reason than that different sorts of people are rewarded with prestige or punished in various ways -- and character building choices are influenced by that knowledge.
RS's constant reminder that the example of mohammed as the perfect man is a strong and retrograde force in the world is very relevant here.
Clearly there is enough in the mohammed life story to suggest to the self-indulgent and violent that answering frustration and rejection with deadly force is appropriate.

Muslim men are so brave, especially when they are armed and face a 6-year-old girl.

Sorry
I have read so many articles from muslims in much the same vein, that I normally read them very hastily, I should have read this article more carefully.
A big blunder on my part, and there is no excuse.
A thundering thankyou for the correction.

Just so! In the West, it is not acceptable to kill someone because that person is of another religion. In the musulman countries, on the other hand, from the day they are born children are taught to "Slay the Unbelievers..." The overall effect of this CULT indoctrination is to lower the threshold for what constitutes justifiable homicide. Is it any wonder then, that when the ragheads temporarily run out of INFIDEL DOGS like us to MURDER, they take to murdering each other!? Just look at Gaza: Muslims in their natural state.

Infidel Pride:
Other commentators, including Nonie Darwish, have pointed out Muslim family rigidity as the source of Muslim violence and horror. With the view of the male as utter despot, who almost literally owns his multiple females and offspring, and is entitled to sex on demand from not only wives but also children (including infants and boys) and slaves, and is entitled to beat and kill them without bar for any resistance (real or imagined), it is difficult to imagine healthy psychologies as a result.
To any normal human being, Mohammed was a monster, a violent, spiteful mass murderer, serial rapist, child molester, torturer, extortionist and common thief. There is something deeply disturbed about Muslims as humans that they can view this repellent creature as a role model and prophet of God. Muslim females should be viewed as sick, masochistic enablers (how else can a woman kill her own child for male "honor"?); Muslim males as paranoid sociopaths. Both genders must enjoy the combination of repugnant violence and masochistic groveling (observe the Muslim prayer position with a clear eye) endemic in their ideology.
Culture might spring from the disgusting disease at the very root of Muslim life.
