Olmert implementing Palestinian "Return"

Another goodwill gesture. A deadly precedent. One step closer to the abyss.

"Israel to grant West Bank entry to Iraqi Palestinians," by Akiva Eldar for Haaretz:

Israel has recently agreed to allow a group of 41 Iraqi refugees of Palestinian origin to enter the West Bank and reunite with relatives there, as a gesture of good will to the government of Prime Minister Salam Fayad.

The Prime Minister's Bureau confirmed last night that officials were in the process of completing the procedure, in coordination with the Foreign Ministry and the relevant security authorities.

The Foreign Ministry clarified to the relevant parties involved, primarily the United Nations, that Israel does not consider granting entry to Iraqi refugees a precedent heralding the return of Palestinians to the territories - and certainly not to Israel.

But that is exactly what it is: a precedent. Just as with prisoner releases and land withdrawals: once you start you never stop.

After discussion with the UN, it was agreed that the Palestinian Iraqis, who will enter the West Bank, will not receive refugee status and will be registered as regular citizens of the Palestinian Authority.

The vast majority of the Palestinians living in Iraq are originally from villages in the foothills of the Carmel Mountains of Haifa. In 1948, Iraqi officers stationed in the northern West Bank forcibly conscripted men from those villages, and then allowed them and their families to enter Iraq - but never offered them citizenship.

These "Palestinians" have not been in Israel for the better part of 60 years. Some of them may have never been in Israel at all. Most will not be "returning" to anywhere they have ever been before.

Who is the imbecile who came up with the idea that if only we BOOTLICK the ultra-violent Mahometan cultists HARD ENOUGH, they will eventually like us?
We hear this CRAP in the United States all the time, too. "The whole world doesn't LIKE us." (said with a whining tone of voice.) Gee, did anyone stop to think that maybe the fact that the "whole world" is filled with brutal dictators, ultra-corrupt UN beaurocrats, crazy Musulmen thugs, and Communist Chinese, etc........ has something to do with that.
Thus, even though, Muslims are taught from the day they are born that it is their DUTY to "Slay the Unbelievers wherever you find them.......," if only we sit down and have a nice little chat with them then they will finally like us. And we MUST facilitate the process by giving them one concession after another.

Now I know what the world was like in 1936. Now, as then, the cataclysm is inevitable.

Olmert is inviting disaster, and today once he'd announced the right of return for Palestinian refugees, the Palestinians announced a u-turn on their no armed resistance policy.

Palestinians have a legitimate right to resist the Israeli occupation, even if the term, "resistance" does not appear in the new Palestinian Authority platform, PA Prime Minister Salaam Fayad said during a press conference in Cairo on Monday.

I just wonder how much Israeli's far left prime minister has been paid to sell out his country? (even though his sons never did the army, and don't live in Israel).

The present Israeli government are eroding the rights of Israeli Jews and are biased towards Arabs, the same as every other western country. They WILL give up the West Bank, they already agreed that Jerusalem would be "shared" between Israel and the PA, although the Palestinians have NEVER kept any agreements in their history. They'll also give all the prisoners the PA ask for, and they'll have no bargaining chips left on the table.

The disaster about to descend on Israel will be far worse than Oslo. The PLO Charter, like the Hamas Charter, calls for the destruction of Israel, and this Charter has never been amended or revoked.

We're about to see the Treaty of Hudaibiya coupled with Taqiyya in action.

The Israelis really need to kick this Olmert guy out. If they didn't learn when they gave back the Gaza and other lands that the muslims want all of it and them in the ocean, then what?! Olmert is nothing but an appeaser who is clueless to the dangers he is opening him and his people up to.

Do the Jews get the right of return to all of the Islamic lands that ejected them over the years?

Goodwill gestures to those trying to drive you into the sea?

When Islam gives up:

"Even the rocks and the trees will cry out: Oh, Muslim, O' servant of Allah, there is a Jew behind me, come kill him!"

-then I would trust the Mohammedans.

I have met a lot of Muslims who say there is no such thing as Israel, it is occupied Palestine.
I have yet to meet one who says there is no such thing as Istambul, it is occupied Constantinople.

The MSM, the politicians, the church leaders all need to ask the following question; why is reciprocity absent from the Muslim mindset?

Every land-for-peace deal Israel implements fails.
Olmert has only one solution - to implement another.
As Homer Simpson would say - DOHHH!!!

Im surprised Olmert is still in office or even still alive. What does Olmert need to do for the Israelis to demand regime change...........in Israel?

Posted by: Elric66 [TypeKey Profile Page] at July 30, 2007 11:50 AM

Olmert, the 3% man, must have taken a drop to 1 1/2%.

How low, and how much damage must one do, to get KICKED OUT OF OFFICE??

Thats my question Swami.

The Oslo Accord was the beginning of the end for Israel.

We all know why all those "Palestinians" scurried from the Holy Land: they were looking forward to a holacaust of the Jews there. Instead, the 5 arab armies got they asses kicked.
Those were some tough Jews back in '48.

Where are the tough Jews now?

This idiot is facilitating the entrance of more Muslim enemies while his government continues the refusal to allow Christian Palestinians, who are loyal Israeli citizens, to return to their ancestral towns of Kafr Bir'im and Iqrit in upper Galilee.

Olmert will be remembered like those ancient Jewish rulers whom the Tanakh condemns with the words "he did evil in the sight of the L-RD."

How can they be "Iraqi Palestinians"? That's an oxymoron. Either they are Arabs from Iraq or they are Arab relatives of Arabs from the West Bank (which was "Palestine" until the Arabs rejected "Palestine", leaving only "Israel", which they couldn't destroy).

If life in the West Bank is so awful under Israeli rule, why do these Iraqis want to go there? The relatives in the West Bank could reunite with family members in Iraq.

But I forgot, Arabs are systematically killing Arabs in Iraq, while Israel is not systematically killing them anywhere. Rather, Israel is self-destructing in the name of political correctness and humanitarian good will.

That (insert sarcastic tone here) explains it and makes it OK.

Why is awareness of this not more widespread?

What arabs call the "nakba" is that the real nakba - the one the arabs intended (that is, the annihilation of all the israelis) didn't happen as they'd planned. Planners of a real catastrophe ("nakba") upon others call it one when their target defended itself. The use of the word "nakba" itself is so grotesque.

Where are the tough Jews now?

Wish I knew. They better rediscover them fast.

Where have the tough Jews gone? Well, a few of them recently were kicked out of Gaza by Olmert.
Some were recently sent to fight in Lebanon without any planning by their leaders.

But one can also ask, where have all the tough Americans gone? Political correctness and self-hatred is making the world a dangerous place for Jews and Christians.

Mr. Olmert has agreed to the construction of a huge new minaret on the Temple Mount complex in Jerusalem towering over everything in sight.

That fool, Olmert, is going to "good will" Israel into oblivion.

Israel was the only country in the world that one hoped would stand up to islamofascism. It is extremely demoralising to see the Israeli government turn dhimmi. Why are they on the retreat, now of all times ?
Are they being arm-twisted by the U.S State department in its zeal of addressing "root causes"
of islamic bigotry ?

No wonder I've had more than one elderly Jewish Lady - and a couple of Israelis as well] tell me to my face.. "you may be a German but if you really believe what you are saying you should be President of Israel and i know the People would supoport you."

Shocking as that was for me to hear.. it was more than a few times... they cxare about survival and they'll take anyone to get the job done.. No need to think they'd be making a pact with the devil just because I am a German.

Though I am sure the German Press would portray me as such. LOL

On the other hand.. there'd be nothing but Jews living in Galilee and in Judea and in Samaria.. well.. a few Christians of course and me, the eternal agnostic..

Who knows.. if I were leading Israel to success against Her mortal foes I might find God after all?

One can fantasize.. my neighbors in Old New York made it possible..

Reminds me of a story I once read:

An Arab knocks on a door in Jaffa, and says to the Israeli owner, "I am here to reclaim this house that I left in 1948", and shows him the key and a deed. The Israeli tells him to wait a minute, and disappears into the study. When he comes back, he's holding 3 sets of keys and papers, and says to the Arab, "Here are the keys to the 3 houses my family owned in Baghdad before we were forced to leave in 1951. Take your choice, and let me know how it goes!"
