Anti-dhimmitude in North Rhine-Westphalia. This is still a long way from saying what must be said, which is that immigrants should adopt the societal norms of the host society, but it is one positive step. "Court upholds headscarf ban for Muslim teachers," from Deutsche Presse-Agentur (thanks to Ana):
Dusseldorf (dpa) - A court in Germany's most populous state of North Rhine-Westphalia upheld a ban Tuesday on Muslim female teachers wearing headscarves in schools.Wearing a headscarf violated a state regulation against religious symbols in public schools, the administrative court in the western city of Dusseldorf ruled.
The case was brought by a 52-year-old secondary school teacher, who said she would appeal Tuesday's ruling.
Authorities in North Rhine-Westphalia imposed a ban on headscarves in June 2006.

The Westphalians seem to understand -- like those on the ground facing Islam, such as Ni Putes, Ni Soumises -- that the hijab is Muslim aggression. Good for them.

Did you read the link under the headline about the Dutch bishop? Here's an extract, written by a (former?) Muslim:
"Their 'hizjab' is a gesture, a manifesto, that contains a judgment about the Dutch women, who they approach with a polite smile that is less innocent than it seems."

It doesn't get any better...
Breitbart is reporting that this teacher is a convert to islam, and used the "Grace Kelly" defense, called so for a movie Kelly appeared in wearing a headscarf. The judge didn't buy it. He said that Grace Kelly wore the scarf on and off in the movie (mostly when riding in a convertible), and this teacher wants to don it fulltime for religious reasons.
So a court's time was taken up watching an Alfred Hitchcock film. Amazing. I guess this teacher will have to get a convertible if she wants to appeal.

I just got done reading some crap on the BBC website about Japan resuming aid to the 'palestinians' and the BBC commentator said it wasn't nearly enough!!!!!!

That German court [and I am a German, in case ya dint no] simply could NOT avoid the POWERFUL tenets of OUR constitutional LAW so - being Good German LAwyers that they are - they HAD to interpret these LAWS with SOME degree of logic and Common Sense.. in SPITE of their personal Liberal Predilections!!
