Muslims Against Sharia condemn, in the strongest possible terms, the decision of Columbia University to provide a speaking venue for Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. Apparently letting Akbar Rafsanjani speak at the National Cathedral was not the height of American Dhimmitude, because providing a venue for the world's foremost anti-Semite, whose proclaimed goal is the destruction of the USA and Israel, definitely takes the cake. What is surprising is that we don't hear any complaints from Columbia alumni who should be ashamed of their silence.

If I were the FBI I'd have people 'planted' in the audience at the Press Club and the Uni, ready to ask some sticky questions.

I'd video from several angles every speech the guy makes, with real detailed facial close-ups, specially when he answers the sticky questions. Then I'd tool off down to Paul Ekman, he who wrote the Dictionary of the Human Face - "Facial Action Coding System" - and give him and his research students the video and put them to work deciphering the microexpressions that would flicker across Ahmadinejad's face once the video went into slow-mo.

Because although we can fake expressions - e.g. smile when we don't mean it - our faces "are governed by a separate, involuntary system that makes expressions we have no conscious control over"...and "whenever we experience a basic emotion, that emotion is automatically expressed by the muscles of the face. That response [a micro-expression] may linger on the face for just a fraction of a second...but it's always there...Our involuntary expressive system is the way we have been equipped by evolution to signal our authentic feelings" (Malcolm Gladwell, 'Blink', pages 197-213, 'the naked face'; especially pp 209-210).

And guess what - there are expressions that mean 'I'm lying' and 'I'm afraid' and "I have contempt for you", and a person may be trying to suppress them, but they just won't stay hidden, specially in these days of slow-mo video.

We all know he's lying about all sorts of stuff - and that he hates Israel, and the USA, and all Infidels - but it would be interesting to try pinning it down.

There was a local politician on The Michael Coren Show this week. She used to be with the NDP (socialists) but I think she's a Liberal now. She said she thinks that George W. Bush is worse than Hugo Chavez. She said that, if she were a poor person, she would rather live in Venezuela than the U.S.

When we heard that, my jaw dropped to the floor and my husband said, "She's insane; she must be insane; that's the only explanation".

When it comes to other topics, this woman is intelligent and normal, but her hatred of Bush makes her lose all rationality.

These people who laud DinnerJacket must be delusional if they can't grasp what he's really saying and what his government is really doing. Even if they pretend to themselves that Islam isn't the foundation for it all, they should be able to see and acknowledge the truth about Iran and its president.

I think they must be delusional and self-absorbed in the extreme.

....it does baffle the mind...what is scarey ....if he were running for president, he would actually get votes.....(disillused dhimmicrats and moveon.org types would vote for him as would those mush brained students at the universities (like the ones I saw on tv who were being questioned about Ahmadinejads visit to their university).....yep all the clueless and spineless future Islamic slaves would vote for him...

...if the students know the truth, they would press the government to Ban Muslim Immigration.

UNITED NATIONS - Iran is distributing a booklet on Canadian human rights "violations" in a bid to discredit Canada on the eve of the annual United Nations summit where its own rights record will be the subject of intense scrutiny.

The 70-page document being handed out to diplomats at the United Nations comes with an inscription that says it is written "In the Name of God" as it rails against the Canadian government.

It claims Ottawa denies its people everything from the right to work to rights to food and clean water.

"The Canadian government's several breaches of human rights and fundamental freedoms of its own people entails different dimensions and manifestations," says the preface of Report on Human Rights Situation in Canada, prepared by the Monitoring Centre for Human Rights Development of Iran's Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

"All the materials ? primarily include objective and factual information released by authentic and credible international sources."

The booklet emerges on the eve of the UN's annual summit, which will be attended by Stephen Harper, the Prime Minister, and Maxime Bernier, the Foreign Minister.

They are hoping to convince world leaders to continue to support a resolution Canada has driven through the General Assembly in the last few years denouncing Iran's poor human rights record.

Neither Ahmedinejad nor his staff will have to pre-screen the questions -- the National Press Club's president will do it for them. This is a standard technique at university-sponsored lectures and forums addressed by Muslim muckety-mucks, at which the pointed, Qur'anically referenced queries I submit are always spiked in favor of PC softballs.

I see your point but I disagree. He will simply tailor his comments for the gullible gatherings. Hitler would've done the same thing. And the result? Many will be under the impression that he's really not so unreasonable, and maybe not such a bad guy at all. And he's clever (that always impresses the elites).

No, many will come away, like Chamberlain after getting to know Hitler a little bit in the late 1930s, thinking "Gee, he's not such a bad chap after all." And still more time will be wasted over fools flirting with evil.

"Peace In Our Time" will seem almost within reach... until the missles are launched. And the missles WILL be launched. By Iran @ Israel. The only question is whether they are to be conventional or nuclear.
