EU: 'We'll back Abbas if Hamas included'

The EU demonstrates again its utter lack of any moral compass. By Tovah Lazaroff for the Jerusalem Post (thanks to Jeffrey Imm):

The European Union would support Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas if he reconciled with Hamas, according to Christina Gallach, spokeswoman for EU Foreign Policy Chief Javier Solana.

Speaking to visiting Israeli reporters in Brussels on Thursday, she said the EU, nonetheless, still held firm to its policy not to recognize Hamas until it recognizes Israel.

Gallach said it was up to Abbas to find a way to handle Hamas. "What we tell him [Abbas] is that he is the one we recognize, the one we support," she said. "We work very well with him and [PA] Prime Minister Salaam Fayad."

In the past, Gallach said, the EU found a way to move forward with Fatah when it sat in a government with Hamas, dealing solely with Abbas and some of his Fatah ministers.

Her statements came in response to media reports of possible talks between Hamas and Fatah just one month before the US-sponsored Middle East meeting expected to be held in Annapolis on the Israeli-Palestinian peace process.

"We tell [Abbas] he has to do what he thinks is right," Gallach said. "On this issue, we will not take the lead."

That's for sure. You will be led, and to places that will surprise you.

If Hamas mails them knives, will they cut their own throats?

Even COD?

EU How do you reconcile the 36 articles of the Hamas Charter that Hamas swears to and is locked in stone?

Well maybe the union will break up.

Greetings:

"We work very well with him and [PA] Prime Minister Salaam Fayad."

Yes, like the Bush Administration, the EU sends them checks and guns and the Palestinian Authority cashes them and shoots them.

Fatah itself is not acceptable. It is not acceptable when the Slow Jihadists run interference for the Fast Jihadists of Hamas, with Abbas and Fayad, who with their suits and ties and certified-public-accountants' mien reassure those in the West who are impressed with such things, and cannot be through them. Fayad is closer to being a real technocrat than the much more malevolent Abbas, but they are both, objectively, attempting to push Israel back still further, still attempting to weaken it in a way that will sate, not whet, Arab Muslim appetites, that still manage to completely ignore the legal and historic rights of the Jews at the very least to all of Western Palestine -- that is, "Palestine" west of the Jordan River.

No, Hamas is not acceptable, and a Fatah government that contains Hamas is not acceptable. But a Fatah government that does not contain Hamas, or is not protecting Hamas, is no more acceptable. The Slow Jihadists of Fatah differ from the Fast Jihadists of Hamas only in matters of timing and tactics, not in ultimate, relentlessly pursued goals. Those goals they share.

This is sickening.

After reading about the Muslim murder of Mr Ayyad, an Arab Christian who ran a Bible Society bookshop in Gaza City - brave, brave non-dhimmi! - I do not see any reason why any post-Christian or majority-Christian country should give either Fatah or Hamas so much as the time of day, any more.

Why should Israel be forced to give up anything - anything at all - to a bunch of greedy, strutting, lying bandits who wink at or even perhaps secretly ordered (and certainly subscribe to a belief system that expressly commands) the murder of a man for being the 'wrong' religion - leaving his wife a widow and his two young children fatherless?

Read that accursed Hamas Charter, every ugly line of it, dripping with contempt and hatred both for Jews and for Christians and for every non-Muslim in the whole world. Know that its agenda is what the Arab Muslims have, all along, intended for the Jews and the Christians in the Middle East - and beyond. And then tear it up and burn it to ashes, publicly, in every square in Europe and throughout 'the west'.

Get out of the swamp. No more jizya. No more weapons. Give the money and the arms to Israel, instead; all of it. And no more talks, given that one may safely assume that every word is a lie and every 'agreement' signed with Muslims is so much toilet paper.

The 'goodcop badcop', Moderate Muslim/ Extremist, Fatah/Hamas game has to be seen for what it is - a game, designed to delay, to confuse, and ultimately to destroy. Time for us Infidels, whether Jew, or Christian, or anyone else, to ...stop buying.

Gallach said - what blind stupidity! - "We tell [Abbas] he has to do what he thinks is right...On this issue, we will not take the lead."

Now - if only 'the West', EU and USA together, had the guts to give ISRAEL carte blanche, instead of Abbas and co.! To tell ISRAEL - do what you think is right; do whatever you have to do to defend yourself against the Jihad; and we will back you, to the hilt. (And one might say the same to Ethiopia, or Thailand, or the Philippines, or India).

Strike hard, and fast, as required; and say nothing, nothing at all, either before, or after, neither boast nor threat, neither explanation or apology. Let the raid on Syria and its immediate aftermath - that impenetrable silence - be the model for all subsequent Infidel military/political dealings with the Islamised world.

Perhaps it's time to remember Orde Wingate, who helped lay foundations for the IDF, and give him the honour he should have had - a man, despite his eccentricities, of sounder moral instinct than a thousand deluded Arabists, the Lawrences and the Glubb Pashas and the rest.

PS - I nominate Gallach for Dhimmi Internationale 2008.
