Once again, the responsibility for misdeeds is never on Muslim males. They are merely passive agents responding to various stimuli: Zionism, a nude ankle, what have you.

KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia — Malaysia's Muslim men are suffering sleepless nights and cannot pray properly because their thoughts are distracted by a growing number of women who wear sexy clothes in public, a prominent cleric said.Nik Abdul Aziz Nik Mat, the spiritual leader of the opposition Pan-Malaysian Islamic Party, said he wanted to speak about the "emotional abuse" that men face because it is seldom discussed, the party reported on its Web site Wednesday.
"We always [hear about] the abuse of children and wives in households, which is easily perceived by the eye, but the emotional abuse of men cannot be seen," Nik Abdul Aziz said. "Our prayers become unfocused and our sleep is often disturbed."
Nik Abdul Aziz has made controversial comments about women in the past, including that women should stop wearing lipstick and perfume to lower the risk of being raped. Women's groups have slammed his statements, saying Islam teaches both men and women to be responsible for modesty. They say comments like these encourage rapes because it puts the onus on women.
Nik Abdul Aziz's fundamentalist party has about 800,000 members. He is also the chief minister of northeastern Kelantan, the only one of Malaysia's 13 states that is not ruled by the moderate National Front governing coalition.
His party's Web site published an illustration Wednesday of how women should dress — in long, flowing headscarves covering their hair and chests and "baggy and loose" long-sleeved, floor-length dresses....
In Kelantan, the Islamic party has fined Muslim women for not wearing headscarves in workplaces and implemented separate check-out lines for men and women in supermarkets.
Good. Don't want those vegetables mingling.

Are Muslim men walking penises? I see all sorts of scantily clad women all day and I don't stay awake at night. I pray quite well on Sunday and if there is a woman at Church who is dressed sexy, I close my eyes. The problem is my heart, not the women.
This story is about the sorry state of Muslim souls, not about sexiness.

Also interesting: not once, ever, have I heard one of these purer-than-your-immoral-Western-culture clerics even HINT at the concept that men might be able to exercise any kind of self-control; nor have I heard anything indicating they believe any human being should be held responsible for his own actions. And yet, I think those concepts are there in the Koran. Do these holy-dudes just skip that part because it's too hard to grasp? Or is that the Islamic version of "An Inconvenient Truth"?

Thanks for those links. The more I learn about Islam, the more I despise it's evil construct. Everything they believe in flies in the face of common sense, dignity, morals, values, humanity.....the list goes on. Islam is so backwards and warped that it's hard for me to get my mind around. And to think that just two short years ago I was living in the dark about Islam. Jihad Watch and it's posters have really opened my eyes and they're still burning from what I continue to learn. God help us.

To understand what Nicholas of Cusa, and Hart, are talking about - rent two films: 'Witness' and 'Fearless', by Peter Weir. In the first, observe the scene where the Amish woman, Rachel, is bathing and is encountered by her guest, the policeman, John. In the second, reflect upon the scene, toward the end, where the protagonist Max Klein's wife Laura (played by Isabella Rosselini) is filmed standing in the winter's night, at the steps of a hospital, waiting to take him home. In both scenes there is an intensity of glory which rests upon, shines through, the form of the woman; eros is not denied, but transfigured by holiness. I am reminded of Dante's poetry: 'Ben sem, ben sem, Beatrice", or again, "Riguarda qual son io."
I do not think a Muslim, such as that blind fool, Aziz Nik Mat, would even be able to begin to comprehend what Weir is representing in those two scenes.
