Indonesia: Islamic mob attacks suspected 'Christian church'

Islamic Tolerance Alert from AKI (thanks to all who sent this in):

Jakarta, 19 Nov. (AKI) - About 30 self-appointed Islamic vigilantes are alleged to have raided a house suspected to be a Christian place of worship in Citeureup Village of Bandung in the Indonesian province of West Java, on Monday.

The owner of the house, Ranto Gunawan Simamora, told reporters that dozens of people raided the house and went directly to the living room which is normally used for Christian gatherings and worship.

No-one was injured in the raid and the police have sealed off the house while they carry out further investigation.

The attack is the latest aimed against so-called illegal places of worship in Java and beyond.

And to think, the U.S. State Department pulled Indonesia off the list of countries that were persecuting people for religion and in violation of religous freedoms.

Having 'illegal places of worship' is islams way of using goverment and law to keep all religions scared of going public. And then like islam, can attack this man's house and most likely will go free, because it was the man's fault.

On April 2007, Evangelist Daniel and more than 40 Christian leaders in Indonesia were arrested after a video recording of them praying for Muslims and the Quran was leaked to Islamic organizations. Evangelist Daniel was sentenced to five years in prison for praying, “Father we pray for the leaders of the madrassa, so their hearts would be open for gospel." Please send a letter of encouragement and let Evangelist Daniel know you are praying for him and other believers in Indonesia. Let your friends know about suffering Christians and encourage them to pray and write too. Get involved pray and write to Evangelist Daniel today!

I thought democracy was the antidote to muslim extremism. Isn't that what bush & co. keep telling us?

Aw, come on! They're just practicing interior spiritual struggle--leave the poor people alone!

Indonesia WAS a moderate country--until its Islam started becoming Arabized. Like everything else touched by Arab culture, it is now withering.

And could we ever forget that the 5th anniversary of the Bali atrocity passed by only last month with little fanfare. The slaughter of 202 infidels on that mainly Hindu island by Islamists shows what Indonesian Muslims think about us. Of course, they weren't bothered about the deaths as locals, because they were 'only' Hindu infidels. And another anniversary which also passed by with hardly a mention was the 10th anniversary of the Luxor atrocity, where over 60 innocent tourists were brutally murdered by machine-gun-toting Islamists on 17th November 1997. Of course, I knew little about Islam before that date, but my education definitely started on that date.
