How long before EBay receives its first threat?

This will put the fatwah in the fire.

I would add him to my 20+ teddy bear collection, but I'm afraid he'll remove all their heads.

Cute stocking stuffer though.

I LOVE IT!
I LOVE IT!
I LOVE IT!
I LOVE IT!
Ebay will most likely pull the plug on it, but damn, talk about a wonderful sense of the humor.

What's the top bid so far?

10.50 at last look.

Posted by: Kevin [TypeKey Profile Page] at November 29, 2007 3:02 PM

I'll bet he's cuter than his namesake.

Posted by: ISLAMSFORLOSERS [TypeKey Profile Page] at November 29, 2007 3:05 PM

I just upped the bid to $15.00 (appx $25.00US) and yes, it wouldn't be surprising that ebay pulls it, I hope not.

Gotta have it!

Hmm, too bad Aisha isn't around. She probably would have loved this for a present.

A "Pick Up Only" item.

The seller has some balls!

Never mind. Found out the translation.

RoobertSbunsar--

On the thread under my piece about Ed Husain, a question awaits you. I hope you don't fail to see it.

Posted by: Hugh [TypeKey Profile Page] at November 29, 2007 3:29 PM

I emailed the seller of the Mo Bear to ask if it was true that any bid is only a donation and not a purchase. If they respond that yes, indeed the bids are only a donation then I will not bid any more and may renig on my bid if I win. I don't mind donating to a worthy cause, but I don't like it when one is coerced into donating by playing on sympathies or emotion. I'll let you know what the response is, if any.

Done.

Sorry O.J I've outbid your weak dollar. I'm desperate for this teddy. All I need now is a soiled Aisha with detachable doll /swing set to complete my collection.

Posted by: western infidel [TypeKey Profile Page] at November 29, 2007 4:01 PM

On the ebay site, click on "View larger picture" and read the seller's note on the history of the brave little Teddy.

Current bid - $29.00

Posted by: DP111 [TypeKey Profile Page] at November 29, 2007 4:25 PM

to western infidel, may the best kuffir win!!

I want to use it as a central display for my local TV show, "Islam Today" and hang a sign on little Mo saying, "Mohammad Bear, you got a problem with that?"

LOL!!!

I am glad to see that the bear is anatomically correct.

Pull Talking Jihad Teddy's cord and he'll say "Death to America", "Death to Israel", and "Allah Akbar". Courtesy of The Religion of Peace.

Whoever made this bear, PLEASE make a thousand more, so we can send a hundred or so to Gitmo, and bomb Darfur with the rest.

Posted by: Bigfoot [TypeKey Profile Page] at November 29, 2007 5:01 PM

I once bid on a sticker on feeBay, it was a kid dresed up like uncle sam, taking a leak on the word "O'sama Bin Laden". This item was canceled by them, saying it was in "bad taste".

This item will likly go the same route.

Nice sardonic idea by the auctioneer, but the winner doesn't get the bear ...it remains in "imprisonment"... only the joke.

Proceeds to a "prisoner" charity.

No other Mo bears are currently competing on ebay, although someone should list an ursine doll that will be delivered ...with the same get-up, which is priceless.

As Jesus said (in one of as-yet-unrecovered gnostic gospels):

The last one laughing shall be the victor.

Posted by: profitsbeard [TypeKey Profile Page] at November 29, 2007 6:56 PM

NO, no, no! Why didn't I think of this? Or the endless variations:

Mohammed-bear on his camel, with accessories (booty from his highway robberies)

Mohammed-bear with his harem of 7 wives (all pink bears wearing veils, with mini-bear Aisha)

Mohammed-bear with his slaves-all darker castrated bears

I think if the bear were called "Little Mo," Ali Bearba, or anything but the obvious, ebay would not banish it. How could they? It's a bear.

Posted by: CapitalistGig [TypeKey Profile Page] at November 29, 2007 8:42 PM

The best thing about this bear is the cute li'l scimitar! In a bit of grim humor, in the desscription of the item, the seller notes that it might have "40 scratches" on its back.

This is obviously a reference to the threat to British teacher Gillian Gibbons that she receive 40 lashes (she eventually received a "merciful" sentence of 15 days in a Sudanese prison followed by deportation from the fair country of Sudan).

Supposedly all proceeds from the sale of "Mohammed Bear" will go to an organization called PrisonersAbroad.Org.UK.

215 gbp = ca. 445 us$

Posted by: ebonystone [TypeKey Profile Page] at November 30, 2007 12:42 AM

As per the ebay post:

"Condition: As new, but by time of delivery may have 40 scratch marks on back."

I nearly spit my drink out on my monitor at that.

LOL

Muslims bring the parody on themselves. They are so jokeable, aren't?

New it was coming. Interested in knowing what their justification would be (pretty good idea). This is not quite the same as when people tried to sell organs online. Well it was great while it lasted.

What percent of America are mohammedans?

Ebay took down the posting?

OK. Time to boycott them and demonstrate which side their bread is buttered on!

There are other auction sites out there to use.

Posted by: joeblough [TypeKey Profile Page] at December 1, 2007 12:15 PM

What are needed are some accessories for the Mo-bear:

Certainly he needs a detonate-able turban and matching suicide bomber vest. You could just light fuse and watch.....little mo...blow!!

For causual play he could have a machete and serated knife for quick beheading and all-purpose amputations.

For leisure--a prayer rug of the Saudi flag and koran with matching toilet and scraping stones.
