Hmm. Good theories, fellows! But I do wonder if perhaps you considered that the Moroccan hostility toward homosexuals had anything to do with the fact that Islamic law regards homosexuality as meriting harsh punishment? Among the Sunni schools of Islamic jurisprudence (madhahib), the Hanafi school mandates a severe beating for the first offense, and the death penalty for a repeat offender. The Shafi’i school calls for 100 lashes for an unmarried homosexual, death by stoning for a married one. The Hanbali school requires stoning across the board. Muhammad, the prophet of Islam, directed his followers to “kill the one who sodomizes and the one who lets it be done to him” (‘Umdat al-Salik, p17.3).
In many areas these injunctions are still followed. The Islamic Penal Law Against Homosexuals in Iran calls for the death penalty for sodomy and one hundred lashes for lesbianism for the first three offenses, with death for the fourth offense. Homosexuality is a capital offense not only in Iran, but also in Saudi Arabia, Sudan, Yemen and Mauritania.
But of course, I am sure these "researchers" didn't consider any of that. To have done so would have been "Islamophobic."

This month, Mayor Job Cohen commissioned the University of Amsterdam to conduct a study on the motives behind the hate crimes. Half of the crimes were committed by men of Moroccan origin and researchers believe they felt stigmatized by society and responded by attacking people they felt were lower on the social ladder. Another working theory is that the attackers may be struggling with their own sexual identity.

The University of Amsterdam should be wary in their study. There is a distinct danger of them veering into crimethink. One can only hope their ideas will be policed before anything dangerous is expressed.

To quote Freud, "sometimes a cigar is just a cigar." Sometimes the reason for hatred is simple. In this case it's quite obvious. The Koran allows for the persecution/execution of homosexuals. Researches need to realize that not all issues are based on society ills. Sure in the US we have had our fair share of homosexual murders, however there is no law, no Scripture calling for the murder of homosexuals. The Church may not look favorably upon homosexual sex, but neither does it look favorably upon any pre-marital sex either. And yes there are many Protestant leaders who speak negatively of homosexuals, but I have not heard of one calling for their deaths. The Koran, well who doesn't it call to be killed? And before anyone states other muslims, check again. All it takes to kill fellow muslims is to label them a false believer. Pretty wide criteria.

I remember reading that 25% of attacks on gay men in the UK are committed by muslims who make up 3% of the population.

Norway: ‘honor’ murderers should get reduced sentence
In the public debate the most strict punishments are called for so-called honor murder. Tor Erling Staff (lawyer at the supreme court) is, on the contrary, quite clear that honor must be an extenuating circumstance when giving out sentences.
Staff thinks that Norwegian society has betrayed men from other cultures who had come to Norway.
To really accomodate them and appreciate their culture we have to give them reduced sentences, otherwise it inhabits their freedom of expression.

Talk about anticipating the result before you start.
Still they will manage to avoid the words, homophobic and islamophobic all in one study.
A win for the taxpayer there.

This is so bizarre. I lived in Cairo and every muslim that could afford it owned his little boy sex slaves. Everyone acknowledged it and just ignored it. A boy yet to reach puberty was considered fine for having sex with. As far as I could tell ALL muslims participated in these homo acts as a matter of pride. This was a way to show their wealth and social standing.
I guess beating up older homos is some kind of revenge or denial reflex. I have NEVER met a muslim that was not gay in this sense. They all lusted for young boys. The poor muslims had to settle with livestock which again was well known, common and ignored. The only rule was you had to sell your 4 legged lover, you could not eat them.
islam is great. No one could ever think up the things that they do naturally.

Beating up on gays makes them feel better about pederasty and raping males, because...well...because it's different.... Yes, completely different. Right... because when a Muslim man has sex with an unwilling male partner it's just like sex with a woman to them, because she's had FGM, feels no pleasure, and it hurts, you know. You could see where if he enjoyed it, how frustrating and offensive that could be. They have to beat them, because if they had sex with them, the gays might enjoy that. And that's not the point. Right? And let's not even start on those untethered whorish goats.

Amsterdam is famous (or infamous, if you prefer) for its red-light district. Are there any reliable figures on the percentage of the clientele that is Moslem? I'm guessing that it's much higher than their percentage of the population.
Also, have any dutch pimps or madams with an entrepreneurial flair opened a "house" stocked with pretty nannies or young ewes to cater to the poorer Moslems. Their "services" would come a lot cheaper.

This really makes my blood boil. Norwegian society has "betrayed" people it ALLOWED to immigrate in massive numbers, gave free housing, medical care, social services, and education to, did not require them to learn anything of Norwegian language and culture if they didn't want to, did not require them to work for a living, gave citizenship to their children, gave them taxpayer's money to build mosques and Islamic schools, etc., etc.? Exactly how did it betray them, by not bending over far enough backwards to accommodate itself to their medieval values? Yes, that is exactly what they consider "betrayal." Those damn Europeans are just not submitting fast enough.

Norwegian society, and Europe in general, must face the fact that Islamic culture is nothing like theirs and nothing like any other immigrant culture they have welcomed previously. The more they will give, the more will be demanded of them, until everything is gone. Allowing such immigration from Islamic countries on such a massive scale will prove to be one of the most lethal errors in European history. It is clear that these groups do not see immigration as we see it; they see it as colonization, pure and simple. The sooner Europeans wake up to that reality, the better.

Explanations for every perverse islamic tradition, behavior, and belief are readily available to the multiculturalists of the world but they don't want to see them, so they dare not open and read a "holy" qur'an. They absolutely refuse to believe that muslim debauchery results from practicing islam!
Nothing will convince the cultural relativists, multiculturalists, atheist Christian haters, and other assorted riff raff that the mysteries of the deranged muslim psyche are easily explained; complicated, expensive studies are not required. Everything they need to know is in the Qur'an and other islamic holy texts. Muslims are implacable sociopaths; who needs them?
