"My dad was shouting through the letter box, 'I'm going to kill you', while the others smashed on the window and beat the door"

Why hasn't her father been arrested? Has he even been questioned about her allegations?

More information on this story. "Imam's daughter in hiding after her conversion to Christianity sparked death threats," by Liz Hull and Daniel Bates in the Daily Mail (thanks to all who sent this in):

The daughter of a British imam is living under police protection after receiving death threats from her father for converting to Christianity.

The 31-year-old, whose father is the leader of a mosque in Lancashire, has moved house an astonishing 45 times after relatives pledged to hunt her down and kill her.

The British-born university graduate, who uses the pseudonym Hannah for her own safety, said she renounced the Muslim faith to escape being forced into an arranged marriage when she was 16.

She has been in hiding for more than a decade but called in police only a few months ago after receiving a text message from her brother.

In it, he said he would not be held responsible for his actions if she failed to return to Islam.

Officers have agreed to offer her protection in case of an attempt on her life.

Last night the woman said: [...] "I know the Koran says anyone who goes away from Islam should be killed as an apostate, so in some ways my family are following the Koran. They are following Islam to the word.

Al-Shafi'i, the Muslim jurist who founded the school of Sunni jurisprudence that bears his name, held that Qur'an 2:217 called for the killing of the apostate: "And they will not cease from fighting against you till they have made you renegades from your religion, if they can. And whoso becometh a renegade and dieth in his disbelief: such are they whose works have fallen both in the world and the Hereafter." Others point to Qur'an 4:89 -- "But if they turn renegades, seize them and slay them wherever ye find them" -- as calling for the execution of apostates. The Qur'an interpreter Baydawi explained this verse this way: "Whosoever turns back from his belief (irtada), openly or secretly, take him and kill him wheresoever ye find him, like any other infidel."

"But I do not think every Muslim would act on that.

"My situation is frightening, but I'm not going to let it frighten me to the extent I can't live my life.

"I pretty much feel like I've lost my family and that's very hard.

"Some days I feel very low and what my father might do preys on my mind. But I regularly change my phone number to avoid him catching up with me.'

Hannah was born in Lancashire to Pakistani parents who raised her and her siblings as strict Sunni Muslims.

She prayed and read the Koran, wore traditional Muslim clothes and was sent to a madrassa, a religious Muslim school.

She ran away from home at 16 after overhearing her father organising her arranged marriage.

Hannah was taken in by a religious education teacher and decided to convert to the Christian faith.

Although unhappy, her parents tolerated their daughter's dismissal-of Islam as a "teenage phase".

But when she opted to get baptised, while studying at Manchester University, her family were incensed and the death threats began.

Her father arrived at her home with 40 men and threatened to kill her for betraying Islam.

"I saw my uncle and around 40 men storming up the street clutching axes, hammers, knives and bits of wood," she said.

"My dad was shouting through the letter box, "I'm going to kill you", while the others smashed on the window and beat the door.

"They were shouting, 'We're going to kill you' and 'Traitor'.

"It was terrifying. I was convinced I was going to either die, but suddenly after about ten minutes the noise stopped and the men suddenly went away."

Since then Hannah, who gives talks to churches on Islam, has been on the run from her family, often being forced to flee her home with only a few minutes' notice.

After receiving the latest text threat from her brother, in June, she finally went to the police.

No one has been arrested or charged in connection with the death threats, but officers have put her on an "at risk" register and have given her a panic number to call if she fears for her own safety.

Tiny Minority of Extremists Alert:

A study this year found that 36 per cent of British Muslims between 16 and 24 believe those who convert to another religion should be punished by death.

Ibrahim Mogra, of the Muslim Council of Britain (MCB), says that it is "absolutely disgraceful behaviour… In Britain, no Muslim has the right to harm one hair of someone who decides to leave Islam."

Well, what about "If anyone changes his religion, kill him" - words spoken by the "Prophet."

I would be interested in learning how Mogra reconciles his words above with the words of the "Prophet" concerning this issue.

Right. And to think we owe this pov to Mohammed! Mohammed - he just made the world a better place, didn't he?

Cartoons cause them to riot in the streets...

They can be uber insulted for daring to challenge their "religion"...

But it's ok to murder one's own family member for converting away from this peaceful "religion"...

Death cult example #16547...

Any questions?

Have I mentioned recently that the "Mohammed Teddy Bear" I ordered from cafepress.com is sitting on the mantelpiece over the fireplace in my new home?!

A good place for Mohammed, eh? LOL

And he'll remain there no matter what PC MoonBat comes over.

Is it possible to arrest the perps? Or are they just "misunderstanding" Islam?

Does England believe in forcing the victim into hiding and allowing the criminal to roam the streets?
Where is the rule of law?

They never arrest Moslems in this country because the authorities and the journalists and everyone except some english professors on the radio are scared of them..

Child abuse is endemic in mosques (according to normal moslems I talk to) but as the community and police are scared nothing happens.

They divert busses for eid rather than enforce normal traffic rules.

The don't enforce the parking rules around school entrances with large moslem attendance or during friday prayers.

They use the word respect when giving up freedom of speech and expression when they should use the word fear.

They pretend Jews don't exist with the increase of Jew hating going on and when they do acknowledge the existance of Jews they broaden anti-semitic to include arab (with the exception of english professors on the radio who say it for what it is)

They've arrested the odd person after the daughter is dead.

The BBC could not find a single convert from Islam willing to speak on a radio programme about converstion because it is too risky for them.

People wont protest about Islam (eg: has anyone heard from a feminist lately?) because they don't fancy being arrested by the police and portrayed badly by the cowardly journalists.....

Anyhow I bet if 40 people turned up with paper (not weapons) to protest at a mosque they would be arrested on any number of stupid recent laws designed to "protect us" but it's ok for a mob to threaten a teenage girl.

I don't know why people are surprised because this is seen as normal now.

I find the use of the accusation: Traitor more instructive than anything else in this account. That and the fact that the father put together a vigilante mob of nearly forty.

Traitor is a political term. Islam is a political movement and resorts to mob rule if it needs to.
It's another manifestation of the same dark spirit that the KKK comes from, that the SA in Germany came from that all these vigilante terrorist groups come from. Mob rules and mafia tactics. And this Umma thing is a political thing like we all know. 'Traitor' is political. Islam is more concerned with political loyalty during earthly life than any other concern.

A barracks religion for KKK terrorist types.

gibbons, that dhimmi teacher went so far as to be embarrassed having an alcoholic drink around warsi and lord ahmed, because they are muslims.

"I'm not a drinker but I felt obliged to have an alcoholic drink even though I was with Lord Ahmed and Baroness Warsi, who are Muslims. I was a bit embarrassed about it but I thought I'd earned that vodka."

back to this story above...""They were shouting, 'We're going to kill you' and 'Traitor'."

traitor? to islam. but i thought that all these muslims were a great contribution to british society and we should respect their culture and religion or else.

traitor?
she's british? she lives in a free country?

and now do you see why hundreds of thousands of ordinary britons are turning to the nationalists for help.

What amazes me is that this woman has been an apostate for 15 years and her family are still threatening her! It's like the mob - you can never leave, and if you do, they'll hunt you for the rest of your life.

This poor woman, having to live in hiding for all these years and moving 45 times! It boggles the mind.

Koran 2:256

There is no compulsion in religion. The right direction is henceforth distinct from error. And he who rejecteth false deities and believeth in Allah hath grasped a firm handhold which will never break. Allah is Hearer, Knower.

darcy writes:
"Ibrahim Mogra, of the Muslim Council of Britain (MCB), says that it is "absolutely disgraceful behaviour… In Britain, no Muslim has the right to harm one hair of someone who decides to leave Islam.""

What I think he means is "While Britain is still a
majority infidel nation, no Muslim has the right
to threaten the Islamization process by acting like
we're the majority. Just sit on your sword for now,
Mohammad!"

Is this what you British people wanted? Who's
!@#$ed up idea was it to import that many muslims
to the UK?

I hope this serves as a warning to the rest of the
world, but I doubt that it will.

Two observations. First:

"Mohammed - he just made the world a better place, didn't he?"

Posted by: darcy
Moslem apologists often claim that, altho Islam seems cruel and backward by our standards, for 7th-c. Arabia it was a major improvement. If so, pre-Islamic Arabia must have been a truly awful place.

Second:

I find the use of the accusation: Traitor more instructive than anything else in this account. That and the fact that the father put together a vigilante mob of nearly forty.

Posted by: A_Plague_on_Both_Houses

Well, let's see. . . . There was the father, his five brothers, his four sons, the three or four or five sons of each of his brothers, the three or four or five sons of each of his three sisters. That's forty some right there. To these one could various uncles and cousins and their sons. I'm surprised it was only 40. Some of the family must have had other things to do.

This one makes me want to throw up.

The UK Public Order Act 1986 - Section 2 - Violent Disorder, covers the use or threat of violence in the following circumstances:
a) where three or more people (including the accused) use or threaten unlawful violence and
b) the conduct of them taken together is such as would cause a person of reasonable firmness to fear for their personal safety.

The prosecution must show that the accused intended to use or threaten violence or was aware that his conduct might amount to violence or the threat of violence.

It IS an "arrestable offence" (unlike Affray, for example) which means that it carries with it greater powers of arrest and search. The accused can be arrested after the incident has taken place and his house can be searched while in detention.

Does anyone seriously believe that if this had been a mob of 40 "whites" outside a mosque "clutching axes, hammers, knives and bits of wood" and shouting "I'm going to kill you"
that no arrests would have taken place?

"Hannah" should continue to be supported, and the father should be arrested.

However, the bigger question is, what do Western countries gain by allowing immigration of "Imams" and Muslims who do not contribute to the economy? If the argument in favor of mass immigration is that because of low birth rates, workers are needed from foreign countries, how does an Iman who contributes nothing of value - only negative value through spreading of a hate ideology and subversion while forcing the British to spend money to protect his own daughter - benefit a society economically?

Proponents of mass immigration make the economic argument. Yet it is not clear that mass immigration serves the host country economically. And in the case of immigration of "Imams" and such, it clearly costs the society economically. Societies should make cost/benefit evaluations instead of blindly supporting mass immigration bordering on invasion, particularly when the economic benefits of such mass immigration are not clear.

Bukhari: " The Prophet then sent Mu'adh bin Jabal after him and when Mu'adh reached him, he spread out a cushion for him and requested him to get down (and sit on the cushion). Behold: There was a fettered man beside Abu Muisa. Mu'adh asked, "Who is this (man)?" Abu Muisa said, "He was a Jew and became a Muslim and then reverted back to Judaism." Then Abu Muisa requested Mu'adh to sit down but Mu'adh said, "I will not sit down till he has been killed. This is the judgment of Allah and His Apostle (for such cases) and repeated it thrice. Then Abu Musa ordered that the man be killed, and he was killed. Abu Musa added, "Then we discussed the night prayers and one of us said, 'I pray and sleep, and I hope that Allah will reward me for my sleep as well as for my prayers.'" — Volume 9, Book 84, Chapter 2, Number 58, p. 45-46.

'This is the judgment of Allah and His Apostle...', and so it was, and so it is...

From the article:

"My dad was shouting through the letter box, "I'm going to kill you", while the others smashed on the window and beat the door.

Reminds me of that episode of "Father Knows Best", where "Princess" (Betty) goes out unescorted and uncovered.

They could catch a whole boatload of these scumbags by just secretly following this lady around with a camera. Then, when the scumbags show up to do her harm, catch it on film for evidence reasons, and then go after them with the billy clubs. (Walker Texas Ranger comes to mind.)

Then put them in prison, doing hard labor (or the death penalty, if they murdered someone); or, if you can't imprison them, deport them.

WHY IN THE WORLD IS THIS SO HARD FOR THESE DHIMMIS TO GRASP?

This poor woman, "Hannah", has been living this way for *half her life*. That the father has not been arrested or deported is grotesque. I wonder if this man--an Imam--is still preaching and active in the mosque? I'm sure he is, and you have to wonder about the content of those sermons.
