I miss freedom, says Dutch Islam critic Geert Wilders

But freedom is in increasingly short supply in Eurabia these days.

"Interview: I miss freedom, says Dutch Islam critic Geert Wilders," from DPA (thanks to the Constantinopolitan Irredentist):

The Hague - Rightwing Dutch politician and Islam critic Geert Wilders has made a name for himself with harsh one-liners about Muslims, migration and remarks about the 'Islamization of the Netherlands.'

Speaking to Deutsche Presse-Agentur dpa, the 44-year old Freedom Party leader, vilified as populist, prides himself on his 'clear cut' expressions. He wants to end the 'so-called pragmatic consensus mentality' that characterizes Dutch national culture.

Wilders says his goal is 'preserving Dutch identity and Dutch values' - this is why he opposes continued immigration as well as far-reaching European integration.

[...]

'Freedom starts with the law and also includes embracing local norms and values,' Wilders says, 'including to act against a backward culture like that of Islam, an ideology which in my view wants to take our freedom away from us.'

Asked whether it is possible to discuss issues that do not have any relationship with Islam and migrants, Wilders responds: 'That is impossible, because migrants do exist, and their hypothetical absence from Dutch reality may be my Utopia, but is not realistic.'

'Ultimately many fundamental problems in the Netherlands are directly related to migrants, like infrastructure, traffic jams, housing problems, the welfare state.'

Removing international trade barriers plays a fundamental role in Wilders' approach towards migration.

'I propose to stop all development aid and simultaneously ensure developing countries can compete fairly on the world market. The European Union should also stop its subsidies to the Polish and French farmers.

'Only then can developing countries build healthy, competitive economies. This will remove the incentive to migrate to Europe.'

But Wilders does not expect the European Union to play such a role: 'The Polish and French farmers are too powerful and besides, European migration policies are too lenient.'

The Dutch politician opposed the European constitution and also the recently signed European treaty, believing that the EU 'limits national sovereignty.'

'I want to enter the European Parliament in the next elections - I expect to gain one or two seats - primarily to abolish (it).'

Wilders cannot name any European politician he feels close to.

'As a liberal, I feel close to the conservatives and liberals, but I am not sure they want to cooperate with me. I definitely would not like to work with Le Pen and like-minded parties - fascists - in whose category many people mistakenly place my party.'

Following his call in August to ban the Koran as a 'fascist book,' Wilders recently announced he is producing a film about the Muslim holy scriptures which will be released later this month.

'I receive death threats daily. My opinions are strong, but I am not violent. Still, I have to live with personal security guards around the clock.

'I lost several friends because they feared to become a target too. It also affects my family. That is particularly painful. What I miss most in my life today? Freedom.'

Geert Wilders is willing to sacrifice his own freedom in order to restore freedom to the Netherlands. That's my definition of a patriot.

He has more of a sense of what we face than any American leader

Once the film is produced, someone should translate it into English for North America and Arabic, so Muslims can know the truth about the ugly religion they are enslaved to.

Funny thing, why don't the liberals and leftists welcome a film which "will get people talking". This is what they say when people on the left make provocative films. They say, "it will get people talking so issues can be discussed."

If the film is wrong about the Koran creating violent and hateful Muslim cultures, then the Muslims will produce their own film. Alas, history has shown that Muslims would rather kill than dialog.

Geert Wilders may be the last real man in Europe. If Europe falls to Muslim tyranny friends, you are welcome in the Americas. The Jews of France have already started the emmigration to the New World due to Muslim violence against them.

One more thing. Someone needs to start a secret movie production company with anti_islamic films directed towards potential Muslim converts in Islamic countries. Many Muslims are told lies about how peaceful their religion is. It is akin to young communists being told that the Communist Party created everything from Ice Cream to the Airplane. They just never have run into the truth, so naturally they believe the lies they are told.

The internet is used heavily by young men in Arab countries and if the internet were used to produce anti-Islamic films they would start to think more. I recall being told by one young Muslim at a university that "I think too much." We must allow young muslim men and women the opportunity to think critically about Islam. If they do this, many will come to see how ugly and wrong their religion it. While they will not be able to openly convert, in time they may be in positions to allow for more freedoms.

How to secretly create films for the Internet is beyond me, however perhaps someone reading this will like the idea.

Islam is based upon lies upon lies. The truth will slay lies if it is allowed to be spread. The Imams and Mullahs know this, which is why they try to control information and free speech in their countries.

There is only one place on earth where Dutch is spoken and where Dutch culture exists. Why can't it be preserved? Why do muslims get to immigrate and replace unique cultures and languages with the culture and languge of their muslim HOMELAND?

Yes indeed. And not one of these despicable wankers in the MSM even mentions that Wilders is already under police protection for years, but instead never miss the 'far right' label to smear him.

One must suspect, however, that Wilders is making good use of his time and reads JW and other anti-jihad publications, because he sez all the right things. The Dutch in general display extremely cowardly behavior, the way Ayaan Ali Hirsi was treated is beneath contempt.

Wilders is a beacon of truth in a cowardly world of f*kcwits and appeasers, who will turn on a 5 cent coin and hail him like a new Caesar the moment he rids them of the Muhammedan plague. But for now PC is the official religion...

Good luck with that, Dutchies...

Geert Wilders is the only politician in Holland who consistently says and does the right thing. Although he is being vilified on a daily basis by the media, and being attacked non-stop by politicians of ALL other parties in parliament, as well as 'promiment' figures from all walks of life, including Queen Beatrix(!!!), he keeps his cool and doesn't take crap from anyone. Neither from the queen, nor from her ventriloquist, Prime Minister Balkenende, who is a dhimmi hypocrite.
He is a truly admirable person. I've voted for him in the past, and I will vote for him again next time.

The new Pym Fortuyn. A very brave man and credit he wants nothing to do with Le Pen and his ilk.

"Rightwing Dutch politician and Islam critic Geert Wilders...
-- the first sentence of the article above

Why "rightwing"? What makes Geert Wilders "rightwing"? Is he a defender of Dickensian conditions in the workplace? A stout believer in Free-Market Fundamentalism? A believer in suppressing the rights of the middle class? He is also described, more accurately, as a "populist" in the sense that he represents the vast Dutch public, the public that is unrepresented by the elites who, in the Netherlands as elsewhere in Europe, presume to decide the fates of those indigenous Infidels who are fed up with the unchecked Muslim presence, and the Muslim crime, and the Muslim finagling, and the Muslim demands for changes in the legal and political institutions that make the Dutch the Dutch, and would have been happy to have Pim Fortuyn, the non-rightwing "rightwing" Pim Fortuyn, be their standard-bearer, or Ayaan Hirsi Ali, but unfortunately, Pim Fortuyn was murdered, and Ayaan Hirsi Ali driven out of the country by death-threats, and now there is only Geert Wilders, who is being described, quite inaccurately, as "right-wing" in order to poison minds against him. But his bravery and his self-sacrifice are now obvious. And the word "right-wing" just won't do the trick, perform the magic that all the appeasers of Islam, in the Netherlands, think it will. He is going to re-take the Netherlands for the Dutch. He, and those who support him and others like him, will preserve Dutch culture, Dutch traditions, Dutch institutions, including a real and not a diseased notion of "tolerance."

Geert Wilders is a hero. All of these lefty actors
in the USA who support mocking American and Christian values prattle about how brave they are
when they damn well know that no harm will come to
them.

Here's a man who stands up for what is right and
has to suffer for it.

He's a modern day Van der Werff, and if the
Netherlands gets through this he'll be remembered as
such.

The stupidity of the thing is that Muslim death threats, if successful, and there's no doubt as to their sincerity, would make Geert Wilders a martyr!
It would have a multiplier effect on the Van Gough tragedy, convincing the unconvinced amongst the Dutch. The immigrants really DON'T understand the Dutch; when riled they're STUBBORN and resolute. Fifty years of peace may have lulled them but make no mistake, they have spunk.
The murder of Wilders might also also be the political death of the Dhimmis in government.

I would very much doubt that Geert Wilders is a "HERO", for the simple fact he's a "POLITICIAN" and the two words rarely collide.
I will concede, however that Wilders is possibly the only mainstream European M.P. with the guts and tenacity to voice direct criticism of "Cult Islam", and, if for that fact alone he has my respect and support.

James Martel said,

"One more thing. Someone needs to start a secret movie production company with anti_islamic films directed towards potential Muslim converts in Islamic countries. Many Muslims are told lies about how peaceful their religion is."

I don't know about movie companies like this, but I have heard of talk shows (ratio or tv I'm not sure) that are in Arabic, based in well-hidden locations (and I've heard in Europe, or islands in the mediterranian), and who tackle touchy or embarrasing issues in Islam with the intent of bringing them to the attention of Muslim audiences. If I remember, I have heard that they tend to be funded by missionary efforts, but am not sure.

You are at any rate correct - many Muslims don't know what is in the religion, and falsely beleive it to contain all good and no bad. Such programs can be surprisingly effective because of this; just pointing out in what is actually in the religion can sow seeds of doubt.

The funny thing is, I don't think many Westerners know or care about such efforts, the efforts that are actually going on like this. I've never heard a Westerner even mention them. Maybe--in light of the respect given D'Souza--this sort of approach is too un-PC even for Republicans and Conservatives, to try to reason with people as if they were thinking and agentive individuals, instead of just letting their group culture dominate them.

The focus, even with Conservatives and Republicans is always on merely expanding interpretation of Islam, or bringing "Democracy", and never ever on individual rights, including the right to change religion, or to have one's rights protected from the mob.

I said: "I don't think many Westerners know or care about such efforts, the efforts that are actually going on like this. I've never heard a Westerner even mention them."

To clarify I don't meant this as a dig against the West as such, which should be obvious from the latter comments on individual rights.

I mean it maybe as a dig at how it has changed and is changing, and a dig and what the currently major influential factions in it are.
