Malaysia refusing to issue new visas for foreign non-Muslim clerics

Yet another Islamic Tolerance Alert from modern, moderate Malaysia. "M'sian religious leaders protest over priest visa cuts," from AFP (thanks to Twostellas):

KUALA LUMPUR - NON-MUSLIM religious groups said on Tuesday that Malaysia is refusing to issue new visas for foreign priests, in the latest eruption of ethnic discord in the multicultural nation.

Foreign priests already in the country have only been given six-month renewals and told they must leave after expiry, said the head of the Malaysian Council of Buddhism, Christianity, Hinduism, Sikhism and Taoism.

"Malaysia refusing to issue new visas for foreign non-Muslim clerics"

...The Muslims are suffering from a severe inferiority complex....they are afraid the Non Muslim religions are getting too successful in garnering Muslims to convert to Christianity....

I'm starting to feel hatred towards Islam.

...time for the Non Muslim world to stop issuing visas to Muslims...

....Ban Muslim Immigration...Muslim immigration is simply a bad idea, it is very harmful to the host country...

OK. Let the Ummah be done by as they did.

No more visas for foreign Muslim clerics to enter any Infidel land.

Following on Dumbledoresarmy's thought; why are they (the Muslim clerics) still being given visas in any case? How do they fit into ANY immigration profile?

It's interesting why the uk allows this one sidedness. I can't speak for the USA, but the UK has always been wedded to the principle of free trade, historically, much more than its European neighbours. This is fair enough, but was extended to countries that never had any intention of allowing free trade from us.
After the war, our motorcycle industry was devastated by Japanese imports(which were better machines it has to be said), and our car industry started its long slow decline, but the Japanese never opened their markets in return.
Ditto lots of countries that were allowed to flood our markets with slave labour goods, but never allowed us(UK manufacturing) to export without punitive tariffs.
It's the same sort of mentality, give your society away, your freedoms away, you jobs away, but don't ever expect any reciprocation.
It lead to the death of manufacturing, will it lead to the death of our society?
I don't know, but we're definitely not competing on a level playing field.

In a million small ways, in a million different places, the Islamic conquest marches on.

Malaysian Council of Buddhism, Christianity, Hinduism, Sikhism and Taoism
Why not just call it 'Malaysian council of Infidels'? What other sort of an organization focuses on the well being of the above religions as opposed to one? This looks obviously like a human rights organization, as opposed to a religious org. Posted by: Infidel Pride [TypeKey Profile Page] at January 8, 2008 12:37 PM

Absolutely, Infidel Pride.

INFIDEL AND PROUD

Embrace Islamomisia.

I will ask my friend from Malaysia about this story. He follows the news and is probably concerned. Mr. Chin is ethnic Chinese from Malaysia, now living in the USA. He converted from Taoism to Buddhism to Christianity. He is now a devout Evangelical Christian.

I asked him if ethnic Malays, who converted from Islam, would get the death sentence. He said that converts would receive serious threats and were ostracised from their Muslim Malay families.

Mr. Chin was concerned about the story of Catholic literature and the use of the word Allah.

Demvaril,
Hatred toward Islam is normal, as must be hatred toward any system that so thoroughly degrades human beings in every sense. Showing love toward Muslims while hating Islam is the trick, however.

The only reason this was done was to eliminate hindu temples.

Since the islamic government tried to demolish the temples, the hindus protested, leaving a mark of religious injustice towards hindus by muslim authorities.

Hence, taking down the temple priest was the only way to ensure the temple would not be operated longer.

These priest gets around RM 300, around 70 USD a month with donations by public. They stay in estates, or small housing areas.

This is very clear that Islam is corrupted by muslims.

The only ones who could save islam are the non muslims, how ironic!

. . . the head of the Malaysian Council of Buddhism, Christianity, Hinduism, Sikhism and Taoism.
............................

I see Infidel Pride commented on this "council" also. Hmm. . . what do these--in some cases quite disparate--religions have in common? Well, they are all not Islam. No mention of Judaism at all, I notice--are Jews too much beyond the pale to even make note of?

tjwork is right about the above targeting Hindus. However, he has to be out of his mind in claiming that it's up to non-Muslims to save Islam. Islam is not corrupted - the Malays are practicing it the way it's practiced in any country with a significant non-Muslim presence.

Things are now pretty sour between India and Malaysia, since these events are being seen in India largely as an anti-Indian (as opposed to anti-Hindu) activities, despite some groups in India such as the VHP recognizing it for its Islamic undertones.

Infidel Pride,

It seems that the Hindus are the only ones brave and desperate enough to confront the Muslims' agenda. I sympathise with them because anyone who visits Malaysia with his eyes open would sense the blatant disregard of the feelings of the Hindus. For example Brickfields and its environs in KL is a recognisably Indian area yet you'll be hard pressed to find a temple. And if you do its some lacklustre, makeshift affair. Its pretty much the same with the other religions. The last Catholic church in KL dates back (I think) to the seventies.

Indonesia is doing the same. Missionaries are being denied visa renewals and many are being forced to leave the country for that reason. This includes organizations with long-standing presence in Indonesia. So much for "modern, moderate, pluralistic" Indonesia. Pancasilla is no more; shari'a rules the day. God help the women and children of Indonesia.

dear Infidel Pride,

Im a malaysian, & I have seen both sides of the coin, both the on islamic world & islamic world.

However, I was ironically, the statement seems to be whats happening now.

Believe me, Im not out of my head about this issue.

Every major government is doing everything it can to save islam from muslims, by their own definition that it.

Do you think the west id going to defend christianity? It wasnt theirs in the first place. I might even believe they would redefine islam for their own benefit.

Also take account that Islam does not mean mohamedeans.

Posted by: tjwork [TypeKey Profile Page] at January 10, 2008 1:47 PM

tjwork

My point was that Islam is not worth saving. If and when Muslims are put in their place, that religion should be banned, and everybody should be forced to be something else - Christian, Hindu, Buddhist, Jew, Tao, Confucian or whatever

As for every government, every government is in denial about the source of this problem.
