Yet another Sharia Alert from modern, moderate Malaysia.

Malaysian authorities confiscated Christian children's books, claiming the illustrations of prophets such as Moses and Abraham violate Islamic Shariah law.The independent news agency Malaysakini reported the Internal Security Ministry confiscated the literature from bookstores in two cities and one small town in mid-December.
The Malaysian Embassy declined to comment on the news service's Jan. 11 report.
The Rev. Hermen Shastri, general secretary of the Malaysian Council of Churches, confirmed the report and accused the government of persecuting Christians.
"The officials have offended the sensitivities of Christians because their publications and depictions of their Biblical personalities have now become targets of unscrupulous Muslim officials bent on curtailing religious freedom in the country," Mr. Shastri said.

Malaysia is viewed as a modern, moderate Muslim country. Another example where "moderate" and "Muslim" used together have no real definition.

...hmmmm. could be a reason so many young beautiful Malaysian women seek to marry the first Non Muslim man through the various marriage agencies...they would rather marry a 60 year old Christian Infidel than be forever chained to Islam....there is a difference..

Where is Dinesh, Jimmy Carter, Karen Armstrong and other apologists when we need them?
The Muslims continue to show the true ugly face of their demonic religion world wide, while western apologists and eurabians assure us that such practices are done only by a Tiny Minority of Muslims.

Now, it is not just about moslem sensibilites about illustrations of the prophet. It's about the offensive nature of the icons of the infidel. islam is anti- infidel. islam defines itself by being against infidels. What pathetic hypocrites. They think nothing about cutting the head of someone screaming for their life, but are sickened by the other religion's icon of itself, sickened by a picture, but not one where a co- religionist cuts off a human head or where a mother cuts the head of her baby with a sword.

If Islam is so merciful, show us the mercy.
If Islam is so enlightened, show us the scientific discoveries.
If Islam is so good, show us the humanitarian works for the poor of the world.
Islam has produced little scientific discovery in the last 500 years. Where Islam exists there is either violence within Islam or violence against non-Muslims. Only in single digits can one count the significant humanitarian efforts made by Muslims in the last 100 years.
Islam is merciless, darkness, and lacking in love for humanity. If this is not the case then where are the Muslim aid agencies, the harmony with other religions, and the scientific discoveries made by Muslims.
Islam is a lie. The truth sets you free, it does not enslave you.

Muslims "claiming the illustrations [in Christian childrens' books] of prophets such as Moses and Abraham violate Islamic Shariah law" [since, of course, in a totally un-historical and counterfactual move, *they* claim Moses and Abraham to have been MUSLIMS].
Muslims used the same sort of reasoning, during their invasion and occupation of eretz Israel, to grab all the Jewish holy sites - such as Rachel's tomb, Joseph's tomb, and the Tomb of the Patriarchs, not to mention the Temple Mount - and having grabbed them, to ruthlessly exclude Jews from them. And since they claim Jesus too was really a Muslim, that meant they could seize and control and dominate all sites associated with *him*, also, only letting Christians in because they couldn't pass up the chance to fleece the pilgrims.
Plagiarists, identity thieves, liars and bullies.

I reckon, the Catholic churches are fair game too. A naked dying Jesus is an affront to these martinets who would prefer a fully dressed Jesus astride on the rampant Al-Buraq. And what about the Holy Virgin, the one who lived on dates sent by the Moon God? We can't have Her exposing Her lovely hands to tempt the faithful Musalman.

It is obvious that Malaysia is implementing Sharia Law. As dhimmis, Christians are not allowed to have any sort of formal religious instruction or maintain any educational establishments. Childrens' books which are used for religious instruction clearly violate the laws of the dhimma.
There will always be a threat to peace and progress in this world as long as Islam is on the stage and pushing its borders. And it got to this point in history because centuries ago Christians, Jews, and Zoroastrians did not fight hard enough and effectively enough to defeat the armies of al illah.
Every missed opportunity to defeat and destroy this cult compounds human misery on many levels. Our Western elites, in their pretensions of knowledge, are seriously deficient of this history. Thus, they continue to allow this totalitarian filth to continue to plague humanity.

This action should be a wake-up call. It underscores how museums and other repositories of representational art will be increasingly imperilled as the Islamization of Europe continues apace. Hugh Fitzgerald has written about this repeatedly, and his writings, and warnings, must be heeded. This action is in keeping with the Sunna, and upheld by Shari'a. One may, in a nightmarish epiphany, see that not only books and paintings are endangered in an Islamized Europe, but even, make no mistake, the Ice Age paintings found in the caves of Spain and southern France. To Muslims, these forty thousand year old renditions of animals, many extinct, are nothing but trash - jahiliyah - dating from the pre-Muslim Time of Ignorance, and deserving of destruction. Think of the giant Buddhas of Afghanistan, and what happened to them. The destructive impulse of Islam's enforcers is inexorable, and insatiable.

I read all of the comments at the Louisiana Reveille" to which a link is given above at 9:15 a.m. Many of those who commented were hearteningly well-informed about Islam, and they were not about to let the usual taqiyya-and-tu-quoque (that business from a Muslim apologist killing apostates being just like the punishment a nation-state supposedly metes out for those guilty of "treason" was, unwittingly, quite enlightening).
I don't how many of those who responded to the little exercise in Muslim propaganda were students, but some must have been. Reason for hope.
