Islamic law allows a Muslim man to marry a non-Muslim woman, but forbids a Muslim woman to marry a non-Muslim man. Know your place, dhimmi!
"Pakistan Christian 'Kidnapped' For Trying To Marry Muslim," by Jawad Mazhar for BosNewsLife (thanks to The Religion of Peace):
LAHORE, PAKISTAN (BosNewsLife)-- The father of a Pakistani Christian continued to search Sunday, February 10, for his son who was allegedly kidnapped two weeks ago by suspected religious extremists, after attempting to marry a Muslim woman.Asghar Fabian told BosNewsLife that his 29-year-old son Ceramic Anneal, a Catholic, dissapeared January 27 from Gulburg, a residential and commercial area of Lahore, Pakistan's second largest city. Fabian said he was abducted by people opposing his planned wedding with his Muslim girlfriend Iffat Shaheen, 33, who also lives in Gulberg.
"They had an interfaith love affair which in Pakistani Islamic culture is very rare and a daring thing," he told BosNewsLife and investigators of advocacy group Rays of Development (ROD), with Website www.raysofdevelopment.org. Local police have been reluctant to search for Ceramic Anneal, apparently because no group has claimed responsibility for the kidnapping.
ROD said however it takes the disappearance seriously because the young man had apparently received threats from suspected Muslim hardliners. "Is police help meant for Muslims only? Minority Christians are also legal citizens of Pakistan," Fabian said.

If he has been kidnapped by Muslims, then he is likey to be killed in the normal Islamic way - his throat slit. The police, Muslims all, are unlikely to be of any use.
Pray for Ceramic Anneal (unusual name), and hope.

The persecution of Christians worldwide is a cause for concern, and for prayer and intercession before God. From North Africa, Southeast Asia, Mideast, Balkans, the stories keep pouring in. Watch and Pray.

DP111, I saw this story a couple weeks ago. The details I hadn't heard are that this guy is University educated on the taxpayers dollar, then just decided to sit on his 'bum' and collect charity. And he clearly hopes his 12 children (including five? Mohammads) will all get free University educations as well.
Nice.

What a double standard - and it also explains why Naseem's son married a Christian. Doesn't she live in Lahore?

I doubt we will be seeing the cherry-picking, pit-avoiding Naseem on this kind of a thread here. Where Naseem's obfuscating spin is too difficult to exploit, Naseem remains conspicuously absent.

cantor - in lieu of Naseem's absense, perhaps you could entertain us with yet another villianous vignette of her response to this newsbite. If inspired! :-)

Hey, what happened to the thread about the women being targeted in Basra, linked from CNN, that was posted at about the same time this thread got posted?

I am Pakistani Christian and encourage everyone to Google 'Blasphemy Law of Pakistan'. You will see how Christians are persecuted everyday under state sanctioned laws.
However, Pakistani muslims have more rights than Christians in western countries. For example in Canada, mohammad cartoon would not be published but anti Christian rhetoric is norm in Canada.

Here in the US we used to have rules like that too.
In the antebellum South, that is.

Where do these stupid, silly rules come from?
It should be obvious to Muslim women that infidels must be better husbands - why else would this law exist? No other religion has it. Are Muslim man that unsure of their own sexuality that they need to limit the competition?
Notice how Muslim men "date" infidel women. They attack infidels, kill the menfolk, rape the women and sell the kids into slavery. With this historical approach, no wonder they feel inadequate when they attempt to date Muslim women.
Killing is foreplay, apparently.

Parents must have an interesting sense of humor to name their kid "Ceramic Anneal."

re: Crusader.
I looked at google as you suggested. Found a page at religiousfreedom.com that details what you are talking about. The can kidnap Hindu or Christian women, and if they're married and have kids, too bad! Islamic law nullifies the marriage!
Just another reason to reject Sharia in any western country.
