Quaking dhimmi Dutch call Qur'an critic on the carpet, as if he is responsible for any irrationality and violence with which Muslims may greet his film.
"Wilders accuses ministers of intimidation," from Expatica (thanks to Dave):
THE HAGUE – Freedom Party PVV leader Geert Wilders is furious about a talk ministers Ernst Hirsch Ballin (justice) and Maxime Verhagen (foreign affairs) held with him on Wednesday afternoon regarding his film on the Koran."It was an hour of intimidation," Wilders said after the talk.
The politician did not want to disclose what had been said. A spokesperson for the justice ministry confirmed that a talk had taken place after reports about it on NOS Journaal.
The spokesperson would only say it was a continuation of a talk held in November last year when the government expressed its concerns about the consequences the film could have in the Netherlands and abroad.
Sources in The Hague say Hirsch Ballin, who called the meeting, has now also pointed out to Wilders that there could be legal consequences for Wilders if the film contains elements that could be considered hate inciting or blasphemous....
If Europe and the U.S. were standing for free speech, that would not be a consideration.

It's a case of being able to face down Muslim threats now, or attempting, under less promising conditiions, later. There is no time to waste. The publics of the Infidel world need to be alerted. The 10-15 minute movie will help to alert them. The Muslim attempt to prevent this effort from ever being seen, and to threaten collective punishment on the Dutch, will alert them even more.

Ernst Hirsch Ballin and Maxime Verhagen are pro-islamosupremacy-dhimmi-cowardly-Western "elites".
**Any enterprising individual(s) in JW/DW land - please create an internet site that will identify, list, keep track of Western "elites" who are dhimmi.

This Hirsch Ballin fellow is an absolute idiot. He worries that the film "could be considered hate inciting or blasphemous".
This spastic is probably unaware that there are jihad-inciting imams who live down the road from him who are inside mosques inciting hate and urging Muslims to kill the "infidels".
And then he has the temerity to say that Wilders' film, which would expose and explore these parts of the Koran which inspires these psychopathic imams to say such things, would somehow "incite" hate.
No Ballin. You're wrong. Get with the program and realise that you are part of the problem until you decide to stand up for free speech and expose the virulent hate that has taken place in your society and which needs to be dealt with right now.

I guess the Dutch government is more worried about the price of oil than in freedom of speech.

They worry about the consequences of the film, but not about Islam and its consequences.
Rather short sighted, but typical of leftist types.
These people are operating out of fear, and Wilders is freaking them out. I hope he has a lot of support there, he probably needs it...

These talks give alot of motivation to the Team Ummah to continue roaring, continue threats...the Dutch Dhimmis lawmakers are already laying the groundwork for another Islamic mad month which could subsequently lead to yet another assassination, or criminal charges against Wilders with their newly admired hate incitement and this "blasphemous" charge.

Let me try to understand the situation. Due to the murder of Theo van Gogh at the hands of an Islamist, the Dutch decided to enforce an outdated blasphemy law in order to protect Muslims. Now factions within the Dutch government are attempting to silence speech, which may be critical of Islam in order to pacify a potential threat of mayhem by Muslims. So, Muslim kills non muslim for blasphemy, government takes legal action to protect Muslims. Non Muslim attempts to point out the hypocrisy of Islam and is threatened with blasphemy by the government. Understandable (somewhat) if this story takes place in Saudi Arabia, and to think liberals in America point to Europe as the shining beacon of civilization!

Was the interrogation longer than the film itself? If Aye, then I have a problem, if nay, the same.

It was obvious it would come to this and that is exactly why Geert is correct in releasing this film.
Now we will have the "moderate" muslims saying that this invites hatred against islam and pointing out that the radical muslims are not representative of islam.
The "moderates" will be supported by all sorts of liberal/left loonies in the government and beyond.
The outspoken supporters of free speech will support Kurt as will the silent majority of the Dutch, Danes, English etc etc.
The "radical" muslims all over the world will start rioting and blowing things and people up.
However this does not matter much, as these fascists will always find an excuse to feel aggrieved and that is exactly why Kurt is right to publish this film.
As to Ballsup & Vermin I would not say they are open-minded on free speech so much as empty headed. For instance they probably think free speech is what you get from an answerphone.
By the way S Perrin, there is no need to insult spastics. You have plenty of other choices.

Since when was blasphemy against Islam against Dutch law? I dunno whether the Netherlands has Protestant or Catholicism as the official religion, but even if it's officially athiest, it still isn't an Islamic country?
Or is it, and nobody knows it (other than the Muslims)?

Whatever Mr Wilders may have to say in his film about the behaviour of some Muslims, it cannot be more hateful or more hate-inspiring than the passages of the Quran directed toward the non-believers.
By definition a Muslim is one who believes in the authority of Mohammed. According to the Quran, the only sin that will condemn you to eternal damnation is the refusal to believe that Mohammed is a divinely-inspired 'Prophet'. On the other hand, murder, theft, rapine, pillage, hatemongering and warmongering is all excusable - provided that it is done in the furtherance of Islam and follows the example of Mohammed.

If I was Wilders it would not have taken me an hour with Hirsch Bailin but only a few seconds to hit him over the head with whatever I could grab. There is a limit to ignorance and stupidity, and when a guy like Wilders has to live in hiding just because he tells the truth and another guy, a typical bureaucrat- despicable coward, tries to intimidate him to shut up, then it exceeds the limits of civilized behavior.
Action speaks louder than words!

In a later interview, Wilders said that Verhagen told him not to release the film. Asked about his reaction, Wilders said that Verhagen 'de pot op kan'. In English: Verhagen can get lost. Actually, the literal translation of what he said was: Verhagen can go and sit on the crapper.
Wilders rules big time.

If Wilders
1) sticks to his freedom agenda with this film
2) doesn´t descend into hate, BNP-style racism, or extremism
3) and fearlessly points out the supremacist elements in the Qur'an and in Muhammad´s career of totalitarian theocratic military jihad
Wilders will be a still greater hero than he is already.

"Hirsch Ballin, who called the meeting, has now also pointed out to Wilders that there could be legal consequences for Wilders if the film contains elements that could be considered hate inciting or blasphemous..."
If you point out the hate incitement present in Islam, a hate incitement that has led to countless incidents of war, terrorism, and intimidation over the past 1400 years and would end our freedoms of speech and religion and thought, you are a hate inciter.
If you discuss Mohammed without conferring him the status of prophet with a capital P, you are guilty of blasphemy and should be shut up.
This is the New Europe. Get used to it, because it is coming to the U.S. soon.
If good people do nothing, evil wins. Thank you Mr. Wilders for your efforts.

Currently I am taking a "course" on Churchill offered on DVD by The Teaching Company with a splendid American professor, J. Rufus Fears giving all 12 lectures. I am astonished by how many parallels there are between the 1930's and now. How Churchill faced apathy, indifference and antagonism among his own people is quite inspiring. I pray God has designed such a leader for us and has him/her waiting in the wings. Thank God for Robert, Hugh, Ayan Hirsi Ali, Wafa Sultan, Ibn Warraq, and Mr. Wilders keeping on message.
"If you will not fight for right when you can easily win without bloodshed; if you will not fight when your victory is sure and not too costly; you may come to the moment when you will have to fight with all the odds against you and only a precarious chance of survival. There may even be a worse case. You may have to fight when there is no hope of victory, because it is better to perish than to live as slaves." ---Winston Churchill

The saddest part of this affair is that Geert Wilders' own countrymen - the very people he is tasking himself to save from islam - the sad part is that these people are so cowardly that they'd prefer to silence this Civilized Giant from their own midst.
The man is an absolute Giant. He's not a Dane but the closest thing to Holger Danske yet.
Those dhimmmis who are getting in his way are so afraid they refuse to even hide behind his back for fear they might get hurt.
What a disgusting show.
The Inquisition is back. And this time it's not expelling islam..

A pit. An Ezra Levant-style filming and youtubing to shame the inquisition would have been better.
