From a government-sponsored rally on Wednesday
Let's see... No.
Anti-dhimmitude. "Denmark to oppose Sudan debt relief," from the Associated Press:
COPENHAGEN, Denmark (AP) -- Denmark said Thursday it will oppose any debt relief deal for Sudan in response to the Sudanese president's comments urging the Muslim world to boycott Danish goods over the publication of a Prophet Muhammad cartoon.
Interior Minister Ulla Toernaes said she summoned Sudan's ambassador to Denmark to demand an explanation of Sudanese President Omar al-Bashir's comments a day earlier.
Al-Bashir said Wednesday that he would bar Danes from Sudan and told tens of thousands of people at a government-backed rally in Khartoum that the Muslim world should boycott Denmark because of a cartoon reprinted recently in Danish newspapers.
Danish newspapers reprinted a cartoon showing Muhammad wearing a bomb-shaped turban on February 13 to show their commitment to freedom of speech after police uncovered a plot to kill the artist who drew it.
The drawing was one of 12 cartoons first published in a Danish newspaper in 2006 that triggered major protests in Muslim countries. The republication again sparked protests in several Muslim countries, including Sudan.
Sudan owes Denmark nearly $405 million and after Sudan's government and southern rebels signed a peace agreement in 2005, international donors said they would consider debt relief.
But now, "in the international talks about a possible debt relief to Sudan, it will be Denmark's point of view that Sudan should not get such a debt relief agreement," Toernaes told the online edition of the Berlingske Tidende newspaper.
However, she said Denmark would not cut development aid to Sudan. "Our support is not a support to the Sudanese president or, for that matter, to the government," Toernaes said.
Sudan is one of the largest recipients of Danish aid, receiving $26 million in aid in 2006. A $100 million humanitarian and reconstruction package is planned through 2009.
"It surprises me that Sudan's government apparently is willing to cut the cooperation with a donor like Denmark on development aid because of a caricature in Danish newspapers," Toernaes told the newspaper.
Let them "cut cooperation" with Denmark. I hear the Saudis have a few bucks to spare...
She could not be reached for comment Thursday but her office confirmed that the quotes were correct.

Why are ANY of us giving aid to these people? We are stabbing ourselves in the back (or even front) at every step. We are so stupid!! Can we please stop giving money to Muslim countries - especially ones that are critical (ie endorsing violent attacks etc.) of the West????? Why do we help them?????? Let them live in their own muslim hell-holes of their own creation & reap all of their "god's" "bountiful blessings" to them. Can you even imagine a so-called religion whose very highest aim & reward is unlimited sex with virgins? What scum!! And yet we just pour out the money to them... I think it would be more "humanitarian" to rid the world of the cancer of Islam. That is getting pretty blunt, but sad to say, true.

Dhimmi Denmark and other Europeans, when would you comprehend that muslims fool you for aid. they use your aid money for personal use. then they laugh at you and intimidate you.
Dhimmi Europeans, you are dealing with less than humans. muslims will never say THANK YOU or be grateful to you for anything. look, how they thank you for giving them immigration. THEY INTIMIDATE you in your own countries.

We need so much more of this, I would suggest the following action for the EU and Nato countries and any other infidel state.
1/Sudanese and any other islamic nation embassy staff expelled, staff reduced to a minimum.
2/closure of airspace to flights from the islamic world.
3/islamic citizens expelled.
4/all imports from OIC nations stopped.
5/Pilgrimage to mecca to be made a one way trip.
6/closure of ports and national waters to OIC nations.
7/closure of ports and national waters to nations that continue to trade with OIC nations.
8/expulsion of muslims in the west who incite or act against Denmark or any other allied nation.
9/Mosques to be closed and turned into Public libraries.

Thanks for rubbing it in! don;t you think we know all this already?
I've known this ever since the a**ahola K*k*mamie was allowed to preach in his French exile, saying the nasties and vilest things about his hosts.
Noone I used to speak to saying WHY are the Americans helping the Taliban against Russia would even want to listen to my arguments..
I *knew* then what we were doing was not only foolish but WRONG.
The latest casualty of this foolishness is Serbia and our relationship with Russia. We will onbe day deeply regret being so boneheaded vis-avis Russia.
The chickens are coming homne to roost.
Ditto China. they KNOW what islam is. After all they built the Giant wall to keep out the mongolian hordes.
Since we are wlways so damn confrontational with important non-islamic countries they are now standing by pat while they watch islam undermine us from within..
It's sickening.. and Juan McCAIRn is just as bad as Obamery in that regard.. the stupid leading the blind..
Lord, give us a decent President before it's too late!

I wish they'd cut cooperation with all of us. Lucky Denmark.. what a great excuse to get rid of these bloodsuckers.
And if the SOWdis don't want to help their "brothers in islam", then maybe the Chinese will..?
We should actually start antagonizing all these Najistans around the world and let the Chinese think they can garner favor by giving them money.
After all, the Sudan sells their resources to China and not to us. So let the Chinese butter them up.
In my view these 'janjaweeds' and whoever is fomenting trouble and rioting needs to get a d.a.m.n. J.O.B.

This is fairly interesting, Britain too should of pulled the aid going into Sudan a long long time ago aswell.
Will we see this story spun by athe human rights groups claiming that Denmark is acting selfishly and causing further suffering? I doubt they would be able to recall how the Arab league felt about the situation in Darfur let alone the unreported crimes that go on around the globe under the guise of Islamic traditions. UN.Watch has a video that highlights where im coming from if you want to chase it.
Good on Denmark though, im going to celebrate tomorrow with a crate of Carlsberg.

You peopel don't seem to understand that there is a large group of Christians living in Sudan, targets of Islamic persecution. They will be the ones to suffer the consequences if countries like Denmark stop making donations. As the minister said, this not about supporting the Sudanese government.
Actually I wouldn't be surprised if the Muslim rulers want foreign doners to go away, so that they can continue to enslave and wipe out Christians.

"Why is Denmark giving aid to Sudan in the first place?"
There are Christians in Sudan. They need it.
BTW, we've offended Muslims again, and this time it burns right through in MSM. TV2, the second national channel, devoted almost 10 minutes to the various news items, including quoting the piggy bank withdrawal, the withdrawal of the Three Little Pigs and other items of dhimmitude in the news. Politicians left and right (literally) are standing up to the challenge.
Merely keeping up with all the news here in Denmark has been a challenge. We're supplied Gates of Vienna with many reports and translations, and atest I've put down an essay on my own blog EuropeNews.
Denmark has made a clear statement. We reject the caliphate.
