Aren't you forgetting something? Perhaps, for instance, your role in their being bereaved? "Brothers sentenced to life in jail for 'honor killing' of sister," by Eli Ashkenazi for Haaretz:
The Haifa District Court on Wednesday sentenced two brothers to life in prison for murdering their sister in what was termed an "honor killing."
The two brothers, 40-year-old Anwar Salameh and Hassan Salameh, 37, were convicted of conspiring to commit a crime, kidnapping with intent to murder, and premeditated murder.
The murder occurred in December 2005, when the victim was 21. The two defendants, residents of the village of Mrar, conspired to kill their sister after they discovered she had a secret romantic relationship, defying them. They viewed their sister's behavior as harming the family's honor and consequently planned to convince her to join them on a trip somewhere and then kill her.
The two arrived at their parent's home in a car belonging to the older brother and convinced their sister to join them to "go to her lover to work out their relationship." The sister was convinced and joined her brothers on the trip. However, during the ride, the defendants veered from the route into the woods near Mrar.
The two brothers locked the doors of the vehicle and closed the windows to prevent their sister's escape. Then they proceeded to strangle her with their hands. The later removed the victim's body from the car, confirmed that she was in fact dead, taped her nose and mouth with duct tape and placed the body in a ditch nearby. They then covered her upper body with dirt.
Anwar Salameh said to the judges that "the penalty is a little severe for us; we received a very serious punishment. I ask you to take into consideration our situation ? my family is bereaved."
Both defendants expressed remorse and asked via their defense attorney to prevent the publication of the story in the media.
The judges ruled that they could see no reason to deviate from the norm and permitted the publication of the trial's details. However, the judges prohibited the publication of details pertaining to the sister and her lover.

Circular logic rules. These people and their ilk ought to be sent back to saudi arabia

Sytemic misogynistic rules apply normally.
Why were these stay-at-home geek brothers so concerned with their "little sister" anyway?
Shouldn't they have an internal impetus to protect their Muslim sister from harm as opposed to being the inititators of it?
Islam causes absolute derangement, and I fear the only viable solution is eradication.
Man, these boys could have used a little Christ in them before this heinous act, don't you agree?

Awake, I totally agree with you. The lack of Christ creates a vacuum that, let's face it, along with this BS that they are superior because they're Muslim and their ridiculous, laughable pride, makes a heady cocktail.
Doesn't anyone in the Muslim community realize how miserable they all are?

Izzy,
They all do at some point or another. That is what is so sad about them.
That being said, they are to be considered enemies until they abandon their false faith, Islam, created by their false prophet, Muhammad.
As an aside, it is certainly nice to hear from you, Izzy. It's been awhile. I Hope all is well with you and yours.
Your brother in Christ,
awake

Thanks, Awake. I've been busier than a one armed paper hanger! I decided to start tithing 10% as of the beginning of this year and I am so busy I don't know if I'm coming or going. And yet I can handle it all. God has been berry, berry good to me. (Thank You, Dear Lord.) I just don't always have time to post here. Plus, my son is back home and sleeping in my office at night so I try and stay off the computer later at night so as not to disturb him because he gets up and goes to work early. So my posts here have suffered.
Nice to talk to you, too!

Izzy,
I can honestly say that I got the 'Garret Morris' reference in your response, straight away.
I guess we are showing our age.
That's a good thing, at least in my estimation.
Keep the faith, young lady.
Regards.

Awake,
I have no idea where I heard that but I've used that line for at least ten years, maybe twenty, so you're right. But when I look at what my kids do on Facebook and regarding their music (or rather, lack of music...so pathetic) I don't feel bad at all. And as people sometimes tell me I don't look my age, although I think I do, I just tell them that I keep young because of my juvenile mentality!

one tells judge: "the penalty is a little severe for us ... I ask you to take into consideration our situation. My family is bereaved."
In the Jewish world this is called Chutzpah, like where the murderer of his parents claims leniency from the court because he is an orphan. Mohammedans have their own version it seems. "I killed my sister (mother, girl friend, daughter) and now we are bereaved! Please have mercy on us."
That;s pure Chutzpah, Mohammedan style. :)

I'm a personal fan of 'Battle_of_Tours' and no, I am not ashamed to say that.
Also, the 'Sheik' is rarely, if ever, wrong.
Chutzpah. Too bad more Islamists won't subscribe to it. The world would certainly be more hospitable.

I would say that no leniency should be shown in the case of these two brothers. They murdered their sister in the most horrific way. I suspect that this is not their first "execution", but the one that got them caught. These two brothers should be isolated, and allowed no visitors other than close familiy members or legal counsel.

Tours, Yermani and Awake
I second (or third) all of you. It's becoming more and more cliched to say 'stuff you just can't make up', but here it is anyway.
Okay here is something I'll try and make up - why not have Israel sentence them to be suicide bombers to be sent to blow up a Hamas post somewhere in Gaza? After all, they'll be pilloried for sending in tanks and bulldozers, but if they send in suicide bombers, can't they at least claim to be even?

Her brothers are old enough to have been her father! Guess they must come from a good muslim family.
Good for the judge for allowing the details of this cowardly crime to be published, while protecting the personal life of the victim. Why would the murderers try to keep the facts from the public? Because they know their act reflects badly on their "religion".
If she was already dead, why tape her nose and mouth with duct tape? To keep the djinn out??

Yikes! I was just being sarcastic about the djinn.....but after a little research, I found out they really did think the tape would keep the djinn from entering into their sister's body. Very kind of them to perform that final service for her, wasn't it?

The hypocrisy of Islam is just ludicrous. If one of these guys had a secret romance with a woman, or a little kid, or whatever, they would be able to lie, cheat or use the Qu'ran to rationalize their way out of any danger. The easiest thing for a Muslim man to do is place blame on a Muslim woman, have her take the fall, and have everyone in his demented society accept that practice as business as usual.
Case in point: on another thread Joe Blough USA posted this link whereby Amina and Sarah Said's despicable brother said that his dad didn't pull the trigger, they did. Who is they? I believe he means Sarah and Amina. Watch here: http://www.nbc5i.com/news/15546408/detail.html
Are we as a nation, going to let this young man named Islam get away with this? Are we going to let this young man poison other peoples' minds with his pro-Sharia mentality and then just stand by and watch it spread, infiltrate and take over?
One of the things I've always admired about American men is their inherent bravery. You guys need to protect the women in your midst, no matter what the damned feminists have done. I'm doing what I can but in the end it will be you men who, like in the Revolution and WWII before us, stood up and said, enough is enough and we're taking you out. We are depending on you.

Greetings:
Growing up in the Bronx, part of the semi-pro criminal training included the parable of the teenager, on trial for murdering his parents, who asks the judge for mercy because he is an orphan.
In the Bronx, the implication was to refrain from this type of behavior.
Welcome to the Wacky World of Islam.

ImNoDhimmi,
I suspect they performed that service for themselves. If a spirit of some kind were to "take over" the fresh corpse, its first order of business might be to seek revenge on these "brothers".
Interesting to note--it strikes me how "the sister", "their sister", "the victim", "she" is not named in the article. She seems already to be a ghost--not corporeal enough to merit the use of her name--yet lingering just enough for the crime and sentencing to have taken place.

Abscedere;
I'm pretty sure that'd be due to the Judges' order protecting details of the victim and her lover...
"However, the judges prohibited the publication of details pertaining to the sister and her lover."
...from Hugh's original post.

This is actually a real life enactment of an old Jewish joke, as follows:
The definition of "chutzpah" is the man who kills his parents and then throws himself on the mercy of the court, on the grounds that he is an orphan.
I kid you not.

""the penalty is a little severe for us ... I ask you to take into consideration our situation. My family is bereaved."
For the 'loss' of their sons, not their daughter (just a hunch).

.........................................
Just what I was thinking. I wonder how much the parents knew? Certainly, they might have been completely innocent in this. Still, the trap was laid at the parent's house. You have to wonder if they suspected their older sons of plotting violence against their sister, or even if they were not in full cahoots.
Even if they did not know of the plot at the time, what is their attitude now? Are they in mourning for their daughter, or for the loss of freedom for their murdersous sons?
Are they glad Israel is bringing them to justice, or do they wish they were dealing with a regime more "understanding" of honor killings?
