Eurodhimmis bow and scrape, condemn Fitna

Stupidity and spinelessness at high levels. "EU condemns Dutch anti-Islam film," from CNN:

(CNN) -- The European Union on Friday condemned a new film by a Dutch lawmaker which is critical of Islam and features controversial images of the Prophet Mohammed.

Not "the Islamic Prophet." Just "the Prophet."

The 15-minute film, titled "Fitna," was posted on a London-based Web site Thursday. It immediately drew criticism from the Dutch Prime Minister Jan Peter Balkenende, who said the film equates Islam with violence.

"We reject this interpretation," Balkenende said in a statement. "The vast majority of Muslims reject extremism and violence. In fact, the victims are often also Muslims."

The film, as Balkenende well knows or should know, simply quotes Qur'anic passages, and then shows Muslims committing violent acts and justifying them with reference to those passages. That this happens, and has happened again and again, is simply a fact. The fact that other Muslims don't do this is nice, but that fact does nothing to mitigate the other fact. And in fact, it shows up the abysmal failure of peaceful Muslims to restrain their coreligionists.

Slovenia, which holds the rotating EU presidency, said it supported the Dutch government's position and believes the film does nothing to promote dialogue among religions.

"The European Union and its member states apply the principle of the freedom of speech which is part of our values and traditions. However, it should be exercised in a spirit of respect for religious and other beliefs and convictions," the Slovenian presidency said in a statement.

"Respect," i.e., pretending that black is white and white is black.

"Mutual tolerance and respect are universal values we should uphold. We believe that acts, such as the above-mentioned film, serve no other purpose than inflaming hatred."

No. The acts depicted in the film inflame hatred. The film just reports on this.

The U.S. government warned the film could spark protests and riots....

"It's not a provocation, but the harsh reality and a political conclusion," Wilders told reporters Thursday....

The film concludes with scrolling messages reading in part: "The government insists that you respect Islam, but Islam has no respect for you" and "In 1945, Nazism was defeated in Europe. In 1989, communism was defeated in Europe. Now the Islamic ideology has to be defeated."

LiveLeak issued a statement Thursday saying there was no legal reason not to allow Wilders to post the film. It said the site's policy is to remain unbiased and allow freedom of speech.

Some in the Muslim community rejected the film as nothing more than dangerous anti-Islamic propaganda.

"This film is a direct attempt to incite violence from Muslims and help fan the flames of Islamophobia," Arsalan Iftikhar, a contributor to Washington-based Islamica Magazine, told CNN on Thursday. "Any reasonable person can see this is meant to spit in the face of Muslims and insult our religion."

Mr. Iftikhar, if you want to put out the "flames of Islamophobia," then work to stop Muslims from committing the acts of violence shown in the film.

I thinks sometimes we in the west are stupid and wussies. I really do. I mean look at the network the Islamic countries have set to protect, deceive and get the most out of the west in terms of aid, laws and maybe even the whole continent of Europe to the will of Allah and sharia laws.

To all muslims: We are ready to discuss the contents of the movie. Point by point, issue by issue. Go ahead.

I live in China and can't view the video on my ethernet connection at home. Yet at work, where we have a satellite internet connection (its an embassy with a secure connection) I can. Are there any other servers hosting the film other than the liveleak one?

Anyway, what is the difference between insulting and legitimately critical? Have Muslims ever drawn the line? Or can we safely assume that these are one and the same thing, thus rendering critique out of bounds? The dhimmicrats in the UN, EU, etc need to ask this question.

Muslim Fundamentalists are 'insulted' when presented with the facts of their outrages. 'Legitimate criticism' does not exist in Islam ... at all! It IS the very WORD OF ALLAH (aleegedly) and therefore to them, is above criticism ... otherwise, they'll cut your infidel head off.

Islamic fundamentalists are 'insulted' that anyone, especially an infidel dog, offspring of apes and pigs etc., should have the temerity to confront them with the reality of their outrageous 'religion' 'Legitimate criticism' does not exist in Islam, the koran to them is the actual WORD OF GOD and is considered above criticism ... otherwise they'll cut your infidel head off!

Islamic call to prayer played from clock tower
Library broadcast part of Islamic Awareness Month

Muslims students at the University of Miami have organized for the Islamic call to prayer, broadcasted each Friday afternoon this month from Richter Library's clock tower in commemoration of Islamic Awareness Month. The call to prayer, or Adhan, is spoken in Arabic and is meant to resonate throughout the area.

"It serves as constant reminder of when we have to pray, because prayer itself is a reminder of our religion and how we practice it," said Selima Jumarali, the vice president of the organization.

FITNA via Google video

According to Klein Verzet, Geert Wilders is asking for financial support for FITNA's distribution: Most people don’t realize it, but reaching a global audience on the Internet is quite expensive. If you reach millions of people, you also have many millions of page hits and as a result many terabytes of bandwidth to buy from you're hosting company. That's might not be something Wilders has realized when he made his initial plans for Fitna. He was after all planning a small film for a Dutch audience to be broad casted on Dutch national television. But after the Dutch government called for a ban and no Dutch broadcaster wanted to broadcast it, he decided to go the internet way. And as it now has become a global hype with a global audience, this means he now needs money to pay for the global distribution. The film, he today repeated in the media, will be released before the 1st of April and asks on his website www.geertwilders.nl for donations:
To our international friends:
Please support our struggle. The battle for the survival of freedom is not something we can do all by ourselves. Party for Freedom (PVV) is the only political party in Dutch Parliament that refuses government subsidy. Therefore, we are dependent on your support. We need your help urgently, as costs are mounting. Freedom isn’t free. You can use the Paypal application under “DONEER” of you can make a contribution to:
Stichting Vrienden van de PVV (Foundation Friends of PVV), in The Hague, the Netherlands. Bank account 67.04.72.344 IBAN: NL98 INGB 0670 4723 44 - BIC: INGBNL2A
It’s hard to say how much money he needs for the distribution for his film. It all depends on how many people are going to view it and how the Film will be distributed. But even if it’s possible to release Fitna with the help of video providers like Youtube or Liveleak, it will still cost quite some money only to have a website announcing it. After the release many millions will directly want to visit the website and thus the website needs expensive dedicated and high-performance hardware to serve those many millions of people. This will not come cheap. If Geert Wilders doesn’t decide against advertisements on the Fitna website, he has however a good opportunity to cover a part of the cost. Adding some Adsense advertisements and/or Amazon affiliate advertisements is quite easy and will at least earn him thousand dollars per million visitors. Cost will however rise astronomically if Fitna can’t be distributed with the help of video services like Youtube or Liveleak. To show a video stream of 15 minutes to millions of people will result in many hundreds of terabytes of traffic. Bumping Fitna’s release cost in the hundreds of thousands of dollars. Let’s make sure Fitna will get released and be easily accessible to everybody. Please do a small donation in support of freedom of speech

No one forces Muslims to commit violent acts-they are responsible for their actions. If Arsalan Iftikhar is so offended by this film, then why doesn't he make his own film, as a response? Why does he not publish a statement refuting the points of Fitna?

"Not 'the Islamic Prophet.' Just 'the Prophet.' "

Good point. In its definition of "prophet," Webster's New World Dictionary defines "the Prophet" (capitalized) as " among Muslims, Mohammed." (Emphasis mine.)

A style suggestion: don't capitalize "prophet" at all; that makes it an honorific. The style I use is "Islam's prophet Muhammad" on first reference, and just "Muhammad" thereafter. If one must make reference to "the Prophet," lower-case it and put it in quotes, e.g.:

"Muhammad's crime sprees against merchant caravans netted 'the prophet's' followers much booty, even as he had promised in Qur'anic verse 48:20."

is not surprising the European Union would take this stance considering the number of Muslims that most of them have in their countries violence and rioting
The Muslim national sport in their countries could do a lot of damage [I'm here and outside Vancouver who ordered the blasted snow or is doing a snow dance]

I think there should be additional short films made to better promote ‘dialogue’:

Takyyia

Jazyiah

Jihad

Hudna

So then we can better understand the underlying principles of Islamic total mind-body-political control system, a totalitarian tyranny of violence and repression.

Fitna is a brilliant stroke to show how ‘toxic’ this ‘religion of peace’ really is. If they want to riot over this film, great, to better our understanding of their deceitful and violent religious political cult of Mohammed. The whole world is watching and learning the truth about Islam. A short film idea is brilliant.

Shame on the EU leadership buckling under the strain of freedom of speech and truth. Vote them out. And then start the emigration process for those millions who are discontented with our free way of life, out to the Sharia states of their choice, as the greatest mercy for us all. The facts on Islam and violence in the Koran speak for themselves. It’s up to its ‘true believers’ to change the facts, not up to us. But all they can do in response is ad hominem, or riot. The truth is now in their face. We know who they are. Let’s dialogue with truth rather than their toxic lies.

It’s Friday. Watch the fun after mosque prayer time... Got popcorn?

Odds are that your average Religion of Peace rioter will be out doing his thing, even if he hasn't seen the film.
Like puddles follow rain will be the increasing presence and effectiveness of Nationalist parties throughout Europe.
Why should I care? I don't, except for the inevitable rise in anti-semitism as a by-product.
The EU politicians and their flunkies had better pay attention to what the majority of citizens are saying...

Slovenia, which holds the rotating EU presidency, said it supported the Dutch government's position and believes the film does nothing to promote dialogue among religions.
Can't Slovenia develop a mind of its own, and analyze why so many Europeans are reacting negatively to Islam, instead of just parroting old Europe's views on the film?

Or are they so blinded by hatred of Serbia that they're willing to acquiesce in the undermining of other anti-Islamic forces in Europe?

In a statement issued by his spokesperson after last night’s airing of the film, entitled Fitna, Mr. Ban said “there is no justification for hate speech or incitement to violence. The right of free expression is not at stake here.

“I acknowledge the efforts of the Dutch Government to stop the broadcast of this film and appeal for calm to those understandably offended by it. Freedom must always be accompanied by social responsibility.”

"This film is a direct attempt to incite violence from Muslims and help fan the flames of Islamophobia"

And Geert Wilders, who has lived under threat of death and police protection for four years has absolutely nothing to worry about--he should shut up, roll over and give himself up to the winds of fate, that is, the jihad declared against him and everyone else. Nothing to worry about. He is just a provocateur. An Islamophobe who spreads his pathology like an infectious disease just by presenting images, real images, quotations, and uttering a hateful phrase like, "defend freedom". He is to blame, after all. Its his fault, the fault of Theo Van Gogh, the fault of Ayan Hirsi Ali, the fault of the Danish cartoonists, its their fault if they are threatened or murdered by Muslims.

That is the implicit position of Arsalan Iftikhar, the Slovanian EU presidency (the EU establishment) and media who depict Wilders as a 'far right' politico out to 'inflame hatred'.

Moral, social and political insanity.

Such are the cowardly, amoral and ignorant weasels that pass for "leaders" in the West. The Truth no longer matters, only maintaining the illusion of good relations with an implacable enemy that is sworn to destroy us all. In groveling at the feet of the Muslim umma not only did these European elites fail to placate the Muslims, but they intensified the already significant alienation harbored by their citizens towards them, and contributed to the popularity of "ultra"-nationalistic "fascist" movements. History repeats, and we will soon see Europe again vote democratically to put on hold democracy while they attempt to solve the Muslim Problem.

"Slovenia, which holds the rotating EU presidency, said it supported the Dutch government's position and believes the film does nothing to promote dialogue among religions."

This is irrelevant. The film was not intended to promote "dialogue among religions." Hopefully it will promote thought, maybe dialogue within religious groups, or maybe dialogue among Christians, Jews, Hindus and other non Muslims.

This is common debate technique (see Barak Obama's speech on race relations) to change the subject. The film does not promote dialogue among religions and neither does it stop global warming, lower cholesterol or end the heartbreak of psoriasis. What it does do very well is lay out a small piece of the nexus between the Koran and violence.

"We reject this interpretation," Balkenende said in a statement. "The vast majority of Muslims reject extremism and violence. In fact, the victims are often also Muslims."

What victims? I thought Islam and violence weren't connected.

There wouldn't be any victims if there was no violence!

By the way, Mr. Balkenende, there are MILLIONS of Muslims who accept and participate in extremism and violence. Therefore, you most certainly SHOULD NOT reject "this interpretation".

The Great Procrastinators are at it again. As long as they delay their rendezvous with the hideous reality of islam, the longer they can pretend everything will be just hunky-dory because there are more "moderate" muslims than rabid, killer muslims. IF they were forced to acknowledge the heinous nature of islam's satanic canonical texts, they would then be forced to address the ticking islamic time bomb in Europe. They lack the spine, intellect, and courage to resolve serious problems. All they're good at is bureaucratic bullshit and pandering to keep the peace. How far are they willing to go to avoid inevitable muslim civil unrest? My guess is that they're willing to concede as much as the muslims demand, anything for "peace".
