The predictable dhimmis fall into predictable lockstep. "U.N.'s Ban condemns Dutch film as anti-Islamic," from Reuters (thanks to Twostellas):
UNITED NATIONS (Reuters) - U.N. Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon on Friday condemned as "offensively anti-Islamic" a Dutch lawmaker's film that accuses the Koran of inciting violence.Ban acknowledged efforts by the government of the Netherlands to stop the broadcast of the film, which was launched by Islam critic Geert Wilders over the Internet, and appealed for calm to those "understandably offended by it."
"There is no justification for hate speech or incitement to violence," Ban said in a statement. "The right of free expression is not at stake here."
What exactly is "hate speech" about quoting Qur'an verses and then showing Muslim preachers using those verses to exhort people to commit acts of violence, as well as violent acts committed by Muslims inspired by those verses and others?

"U.N.'s Ban condemns Dutch film as anti-Islamic,"
Or pro-Islamic depending on how you look at it.

What a spell has come over the world. The Useless Nations intent to hide and protect the right of Islamists to continue the very thing we ought not see in that Wilders film. If I were in the banning business I would ban Ban Ki-Moon.

Well, I seem to be able to log in on Dhimmi Watch, but not on Jihad Watch. Seems that Live Leak has caved to the usual Jihad tactic of threats and abuse. "You better be quiet if youse knows what's good fer you." Somebody try to find the difference between the Mafia and the Jihad.
Over on Jihad Watch, I keep getting the message - "Got an error: Bad ObjectDriver config: Connection error: Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock' (111)"
at March 28, 2008 5:38 PM
I'm confused. I saw the film (during the few hours it was available), and the only incitements to violence were from the Mahometans.
Or maybe that's Ban's point: It incites Mahometans to violence when it is pointed out that a lot of them are either bloodthirsty killers or killer wannabees.

Who cares what Ban thinks? The only people inciting violence are the Muslims quoted in Finta. Thanks to Islam the UN has become irrelevant.

"There is no justification for hate speech or incitement to violence," Ban said in a statement. "The right of free expression is not at stake here."
I doubt that Dhimmi Ban saw the video, and of course ditto here on the observers; was ban refering to Geert Wilders or all the hateful things that are being said by Muslims on the video? --Clearly Geerts video is a compilation of already out there videos, and still photos that we at jihadwatch have seen numerous times.
Geerts video compilation was indeed poignant but actually I found it somwhat tame compared to some of the videos I have seen that have not gathered so much notoriety, and publicity.
How can one deny it when it represents the obvious.

"offensively anti-Islamic"
Now, is that there one of them oxymorons, er just yer regular moron.

And where are the condemnations from Ban Ki-moon, the European Union and the Dutch PM of the death threats received by Live leak?

"We must also recognize that the real fault line is not between Muslim and Western societies, as some would have us believe, but between small minorities of extremists, on different sides, with a vested interest in stirring hostility and conflict," Ban said.

"The right of free expression is not at stake here."
The right of free expression is most certainly at stake old chap. Worse still, the right to live is at stake. Democracy is at stake. Liberty is at stake. Universally declared human rights are at stake. European, American, East Asian and Far East Asian civilizations are at stake. The survival of the human race is at stake. Your life is at stake. All our lives are at stake. If you cannot understand the stakes of this epic global struggle for survival then you, your spouse, your children, your siblings, your parents, your neighbors, and your fellow citizens who also do not understand the stakes will die.
Woe to us that we now have the opportunity to say, "Give me liberty or give me death!" Glory to us that we now have the opportunity say it, to mean it, and to act upon it.

"Freedom of expression and the right to your own opinion are guaranteed in Islam and is one of Islam's most important contributions to the world more than 1400 years ago. Factually it ensures all heavenly revealed religions and denominations and promises humanity the right to think and express oneself freely, as long as those expressions don't cause insult or discrimination of others or rouse hate based on religion or race. One of the worst forms of religious discrimination is ridiculing the prophets and the messengers."
http://islamineurope.blogspot.com/2008/03/following-advertisement-appeared-in.html
This is a translation of an ad that was placed in a Danish newspaper. Can someone please advise me as to how the four major schools of Islamic law allow for freedom of expression, or how freedom of expression is granted in modern Muslim nations?
As for ridiculing the prophets and the messengers being "one of the worst forms of religious discrimination," how does that compare with persecuting and/or killing those who leave Islam? Why is the latter also not a form of discrimination? A Khokar, maybe you could advise me. Thanks! ;)

Hate speech? Every video he used was taken from the media and all print was from the media, the koran, or muslims.
Is it 'hate' to bring muslims into the daylight for all to see.
And where in the f**k has Ban Ki-moon been regarding the 'hate speech' flowing out of the Human Rights Counsel? This is a video and he condemns it, but outright killing by muslims and he is silent.

"UN's Ban condemns Qur'an film!"
..allow me to shorten this phrase just a tad...
"Ban Qur'an"
...works for me!

No surprise here - so many in the UN are muslims so why are we surprised. maybe they have the invites out to the 'officers' in islam to soothe their hurt feelings. Oh, those 'officers', well they are the imams and ayatollahs.

unfortunately the UN mission has been corrupted by the Islamic nations and their oil money by giving grants of cash for economic development in poor countries basically buying their votes allowing the OIC to control key UN councils like the human rights council I watched the movie and its obvious Mr. ban has not looked at it Mr. Wilder's is done nothing more than take the behavior of the Muslims and show how their behavior is based on passages from the Koran which brings up the question is the secretary-general admitting the Koran is in fact hate speech

The UN disgusts me. So does Europe and certain Server Farms in the USA. Fitna IS NOT hate-speech. That's like calling a quote from "Mein Kampf" along with showing Nazi attrocities - "hate speech" against Germans.
It's time for brave men and women to step forward and defend freedom.
Down with tyranny!
Up with free speech!
Down wih political correctness.
Freedom of Speech means Freedom to "Offend"
Get over it!
If you can't develop a rational argument against an offensive statement then that is your problem.
Long live Liberty for all people!

Ban is a fool. And a major disappointment.
He must be old enough to remember, at least from his parents' and grandparents stories, the Korean war. I can't believe someone who was born in the era when his countrymen had to fight with absolutely everything they had in order to preserve freedom and democracy could be so BLIND to the Islamic threat present today. It's just unthinkable. What would Korea be like today if the South had just gone about their business, turning a blind eye and excusing the Northern communists for being "misunderstood" and accusing the anti-communists of being "offensive and intolerant"? That is what Ban is suggesting the whole world do in the face of radical Islam. His comments about Wilders and Fitna are vomit-inducing.

There wasn't any speech/speaking in the film.

Islam and the Qur'an, the "book of war" should not be subject to scrutiny or ridicule in any way.
It should be burned and flushed outright.

"There is no justification for hate speech or incitement to violence,"
That much is right. That's why Wilders made the movie.
The hatred and the incitement to violence comes from the mosque.
Ban is a wanker and a flake, and probably just as corrupt and incompetent as Coffi Annan.

"The right of free expression is not at stake here."
Says Mr. Moon. But he would have to say that, wouldn't he, since he's the one doing the censoring here.
Wilders doesn't want Holland to turn into another Islamic republic. Isn't that a legitimate point of view? The movie is a legitimate part of the politcal discourse in Holland. You could call it propaganda if you prefer, but isn't political propaganda covered by free speech?
Clearly, the movie is primarily directed at a Dutch audience, and it's message is a political statement about the future of the country. That's usually what diplomats would call an *internal* Dutch affair - it's the Muslim organiztions (mainstream, not fringe!) that made this an international affair.
And the UN condemns the movie? Not only is the UN thereby allowing some of its member countries to interfere with the internal affairs of another member country, but it's actually abetting them.
Meanwhile, the UN has been unable to do anything effective about the situation in Darfur, because the Sudanese government has successfully argued that it's an internal affair...
It appears all countries are equal in the UN, but some are more equal than others!

Article From Al-Arabia.Net TV On LiveLeak.com's Removal Of "Fitna"
The website showing an anti-Islam film by far-right Dutch MP Geert Wilders has said Saturday it was forced to remove the material, citing serious threats against its staff.“Following threats to our staff of a very serious nature, and some ill-informed reports from certain corners of the British media that could directly lead to the harm of some of our staff, Liveleak.com has been left with no other choice but to remove Fitna from our servers,” a message in red, on the website’s front page, read."Fitna" features violent imagery of terror attacks in New York and Madrid intertwined with Quranic texts. Muslim nations, the European Union and U.N. Secretary General Ban Ki-moon have expressed outrage at the film, posted on the Internet on Thursday by the London-based website."This is a sad day for freedom of speech on the net but we have to place the safety and well being of our staff above all else," the website’s online statement added. The statement, however, did not reveal the nature of the alleged threats or their source. It did not elaborate on what it meant by ill-informed reports from the British media. The Dutch government has distanced itself from Wilders' film and Islamic leaders there have called for calm. Ban called Wilders' film offensive while Iran and Bangladesh warned it could have grave consequences and Pakistan protested to the Dutch ambassador."I condemn in the strongest terms the airing of Geert Wilders' offensively anti-Islamic film," Ban said in a statement.Wilders, for his part, said it was "terrible that these threats deal a serious blow to freedom of expression," but he told Dutch news agency ANP that he understood the decision to withdraw the short film. A Jordanian media coalition said it would take Wilders to court and launch a campaign to boycott Dutch products. Snip
''offensively anti-Islamic film''
Mmmmm... the usual bollocks from the usual suspects of the religion of peace and their brown-nosing western apologentsia. I notice they don't condemn the 'offensively anti-western acts' committed against innocent western civilians by islamic extremists do they?
They can shove their protests up their fucking burkhas!
''A Jordanian media coalition said it would take Wilders to court and launch a campaign to boycott Dutch products.''
And no doubt the cultural relativists and Islamist apologists in the Hague are shitting their collective diapers.
Fuck 'em!

Youtube & Google Video have put it up. See the link at the bottom.
GO Mr. Wilders! Great job! Short and to the point, very powerful!
It will be interesting to see how many Dhimmi politicians will watch this. Eventually, most probably will.
SPREAD THE WORD to the world everyone!
All freedom starts with freedom of speech. If there is no freedom of speech, there will be no freedom. The Christians and Jews don’t riot when somebody makes fun of Christ or Jews. People must learn to be civilized. Rioting MUST not be tolerated.
That’ll be great if there’s not much rioting, how very mature that would be. Geert Wilders is a hero spreading the painful truth. He MUST be protected!

USpace ... thanks for the links.
I know this has been said before - but how perfectly bizzare that the link http://www.themoviefitna.com/?p=52 has a banner ad for muslim singles -- showing a hijabbed young girl, smiling invitingly -- apparently forgetful of the FGU (female genital mutiliation) she underwent as a child.
Having to stare at this ad, competing for monitor real estate by appearing directly under the movie the entire time is much like the dichotomy of this blood cult being known as the Religion of Peace. Blech.

Why don't they just ban the koran and be done with it. And when done, since the UN is such an inept organization, they can ban themselves, and we'll be done with it. Goodbye and good riddance.
