A MUSLIM bus driver told stunned passengers to get off so he could PRAY.

The white Islamic convert rolled out his prayer mat in the aisle and knelt on the floor facing Mecca.

Passengers watched in amazement as he held out his palms towards the sky, bowed his head and began to chant.

One, who filmed the man on his mobile phone, said: “He was clearly praying and chanting in Arabic.

The 21-year-old plumber added: “He looked English and had a London accent. He looked like a Muslim convert, with a big, bushy beard.

“Eventually everyone started complaining. One woman said, ‘What the hell are you doing? I’m going to be late for work’.”

After a few minutes the driver calmly got up, opened the doors and asked everyone back on board.

But they saw a rucksack lying on the floor of the red single-decker and feared he might be a fanatic. So they all refused.

The passenger added: “One chap said, ‘I’m not getting on there now’.(GOOD FOR HIM!!)

“An elderly couple also looked really confused and worried.

“After seeing that no-one wanted to get on he drove off and we all waited until the next bus came about 20 minutes later. I was left totally stunned. It made me not want to get on a bus again.”

The bizarre event unfolded on the number 81 in Langley, Berkshire, at around 1.30pm on Thursday.

The passenger said he rang the bus firm to complain but claimed it did not believe him.

He said: “They asked me, ‘Are you sure?’. Then they said they would get back to me, but they weren’t taking me seriously at all.”

Yesterday the driver, who said his name was Hrun, told The Sun: “I asked everyone to get off because I needed to pray. I was running late and had not had time.

“I pray five times a day as a Muslim — but I don’t normally ask people to get off the bus to do it.”

Muslims pray at pre-dawn, noon, afternoon, sunset and evening.

A spokesperson for bus company London United said: “We are aware of a reported incident involving our route 81.

“We are currently undertaking a full investigation into the matter.”

Religion trumps human dignity again in Islam. He was thinking, "So what if people where caused trouble, I wanted to pray to Allah.". This might seem like a small thing, but it explains why Muslims are dangerous. Human dignity is not the highest expression of the religion like Christianity. This is why Jesus healed on the Sabbath, in order to proclaim that honoring human dignity is essential to Christian practice and belief.

Islam teaches and demonstrates that human dignity is not above Islam and therefore this is why Muslims are prone to violence and killing. Islam is prone to great human evil in the name of their religion, because human beings are just fodder for greatness of their god Allah.

Human dignity and reason are below obedience to Allah. This is why Islam is an enemy of true humanity. For Christians, to worship the Holy Trinity, one must hold reason and human dignity in high regard.

I used to ride the bus to school and to work, and there was a Wendy's on the route. The driver would take his/her break (We actually had women drivers! What infidels we were!) at the Wendy's, which made much more sense than to go back to the station, which was way off the driver's route.

From 5% on they exercise an inordinate influence in proportion to their percentage of the population.

I just got finished re-reading Thomas Merton’s “Contemplative Prayer”. He quotes Saint Basil as follows:

“For prayer and psalmody every hour is suitable, that while one’s hands are busy with their tasks we may praise God with the tongue, or if not with the heart…. Thus in the midst of our work we can fulfill the duty of prayer, giving thanks to him who has granted strength to our hands for performing our tasks and cleverness to our minds for acquiring knowledge…. Thus, we acquire a recollected spirit, when in every action we beg from God the success of our labors and satisfy our debt of gratitude to him…. and when we keep before our minds the aim of pleasing him.”

Although there is a contemplative tradition in Islam, it has ever been quiescent, and seems to have died in the UK.

Several weeks ago, as I was walking from the Staten Island Ferry Terminal to Bowling Green, I spotted a west-African Muslim street vendor prostrate on the curb, facing north.

I squatted down next to him, pointed in the direction of Coney Island, and said, “You are praying to Canada. Mecca is over that way.”

He smiled.

If I’d been on that bus in the UK, I think I’d have gotten into lotus position, prayed the Philokalia, and confused the hell out of the driver.
