"Jordanian authorities recorded a total of 17 so-called 'honour' killings in 2007, slightly up on previous years."
"Jordan charges father over “honour’ killing," from Agence France-Presse:
AMMAN - A Jordanian man has been charged with premeditated murder after his 35-year-old daughter was shot dead in an apparent “honour killing,” a judicial source said on Thursday.
“The suspect was arrested on Wednesday following a complaint by his other daughter that he killed and buried her sister several months ago in the (northern) city of Ramtha,” the source told AFP.
“The man was charged after he confessed to murdering his daughter to cleanse the family’s honour because she frequently disappeared from home.”
Jordanian authorities recorded a total of 17 so-called “honour” killings in 2007, slightly up on previous years.
The killers often receive light sentences if convicted, as parliament has refused to reform the penal code to end the near impunity of the perpetrators.

Looks like sister will be next for exposing Daddy's deed and thereby bismirching the family 'honour'.

The "Religion of Death" doesn't know the meaning of HONOR.
NO HONOR IN ISLAM!!
Only death, despair & dysfunction. Islam be gone!

It never seems to bother these people much, to kill their daughters and sisters for 'honor'.
This is a very severe distortion of reality.
Honor killings may have a cultural connection, but the distortion of reality belongs to Islam.

So, so many women murdered in the name of Allah, and no one to mourn them but infidels.

So all the earnest YouTube PR entreaties and apologetics by Jordan's Queen Rania seem to make little difference.
"Send me your stereotypes" indeed.
Rather, time for Jordan's men to stop acting stereotypically.

Is there never a time in islam when female children are considered ADULTS and therefore responsible for their own behaviour? My daughter is 24 and whatever she does or doesn't do is up to her. I have no control over her - she is a mature, self supporting adult.
That this man killed his 35 year old daughter "because she frequently disappeared from home” is nuts. Oh I forgot..........it's just islam.

I'm amazed that there are any Muslim women still alive.

... and as everybody knows, having a murderer in the family makes up for any embarrassment brought on by having a slut in the family.
I mean, what mother wouldn't rush to marry her daughter to a man who's father is a murderer? Sluts or no sluts.
I mean, the privilege, the honor of having a murderer in the family!
Seems obvious to me.
