Tarek ibn Zayed Academy, which receives public funds but has been accused of being an Islamic school, doesn't endorse any religion -- so says its Executive Director. Got it. But it just happens that the Executive Director and everyone else involved with this school is an adherent of a supremacist creed that disdains national allegiances, preaching that one owes no loyalty to the state, especially to the infidel state, but only to the global community of believers. Now of course, maybe the Exec Dir and his staff and all the students reject those elements of their religion, and are fervently patriotic and loyal citizens of the United States, firm believers in the Bill of Rights who -- by an amazing coincidence -- just can't figure out how to work the flagpole.
I'm sure there are already many defenders of this school who are ready to believe just that.

State law requires the school to fly an American flag during school hours, however no flag flies outside of TIZA Academy.
Zaman told 5 EYEWITNESS NEWS he didn’t know how to work the flagpole.

Maybe part of the process in getting certified to become a charter school should be to learn how to operate a flag pole!
It's amazing the excuses muslims will come up with on the spur of the moment. It's as if their minds are programmed to come up with clever excuses at a moment's notice.

Christian and Jewish school organizers should be planning right now to open as many schools as possible in Minnesota and applying for the same taxpayer aid that Muslim schools are receiving.
It's time for a government showdown on this spreading of sharia in America. Either taxpayer funds will be cut off to Islamic schools, or ALL religious groups will be afforded the same taxpayer money for their schools and offset the indoctrination of hate that is disguised as classroom teaching in Islamic schools.
Let's take advantage of the situation, get on the offensive and JUST DO IT !!!!!!
Oh yeah, and I can assure you that the leaders of Christian and Jewish schools know how to raise and lower the AMERICAN flag.

Oh come on Robert, give the man a break!
I mean after all, he's what, 35, 40 years old, and he still hasn't learnt what it means to be human!
Zaman is obviously a slow learner, so expecting him to pick up something as complex as putting a flag up a pole might be a wee bit optimistic.

Anyone want to bet that this line will be used by Muslims worldwide (and their domestic, blogging, fellow believers) of proof of how Muslims are "oppressed" in the U.S.?

Question: Although not flying the American flag speaks volumes about the school, is there any law that actually requires publicly funded schools to fly the American flag, with penalties for those who do not? If such a law doesn't exist, at either state or federal levels (and I would be surprised if it did), then maybe it should, although getting such a law past the ACLU might be difficult.

This school is K-8, which means the oldest kids are 14 and should -- theoretically -- be taking high school preparatory classes like physical science and pre-algebra. And no one knows how to operate a FLAG POLE?
Note to MN officials: this should be (excuse the pun) a big, red flag that these people are incompetant to teach division to an amoeba.

Well, yeah. There is no god but Allah. His flag should be above any dhimmi nation's flag. Since Allah does not have a flag, you can't fly any flag at a Muslim school. You just won't let Islam be practiced in a manner superior to all other religions. Which is the only way to practice it. How dim are you dhimmis?

He didnt know how to work the flag pole but im sure he knew how to rig an explosive vest or how to fool an ignorant US public into believing that islam is a peaceful 'religion'. Its past time to expel all muslims from this country. Damn them all to hell
