I have no idea whether or not the Beasleys's claim is true that Arcapita allowed white-owned Church's Chicken franchises to continue serving pork, but didn't allow them to. What concerns me about this story is the Stealth Jihad aspect of it: the introduction of Sharia norms into American businesses.
David J. Rusin explains some of what's wrong with this at Islamist Watch:
A privately owned business may choose to sell or not sell whatever it wishes, as long as it does not violate the law or infringe upon the rights of others in the process. Customers have no inherent right to purchase pork at Church's Chicken franchises, and the company is under no obligation to offer it — regardless of the underlying motivation.The free market, however, cuts both ways. Hungry Americans are not required to patronize any given restaurant. In the case of Church's Chicken, the absence of pork on the menu is just one excuse to eat elsewhere. Diners may also be concerned about what their money will fund at the Shari'a-compliant First Islamic Investment Bank in Bahrain.
To that I would add that the Beasleys being compelled to stop serving pork is yet another example of the Sharia accommodation that is increasingly being forced upon Americans, and that will only continue until someone has the temerity to resist it.

A Baltimore couple has filed a federal civil rights lawsuit against the Islamic investment bank that owns the Church's Chicken fast-food chain, alleging their franchise failed because the bank's strict adherence to the religious code of Shari'ah prohibited the couple from selling pork.Marcus and Denise Beasley, who are black, claimed they were treated differently by the bank, now known as Atlanta-based Arcapita Inc., than non-black franchisees who were allowed to continue serving breakfast dishes containing pork after the chain was acquired by the bank in December 2004.
The couple did not benefit from the grandfather policy allowing the sale of pork even though their contract with the chain's former owners, AFC Enterprises Inc., to open a location in Baltimore/ Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport's new terminal predated the takeover and policy change, according to the suit filed Tuesday in U.S. District Court in Baltimore.

I'll remember never to patronize this chain. This problem of course is only going to get worse, with the increase of investment in the west by rich Muslims. This story and others like it, also point to the fact that Muslims are parasites, in that they never start or create something, they buy or take over stuff, other people built, with money they didn't work for, but simply have by accident of geology and geography and by western sloth and carelessness.

May this story be picked up in the Amsterdam News, Ebony, BET, and so on. Tavis Smiley needs to interview the Beasleys. And then on to CNN (many times), Fox, ABC, NBC, CBS. Memo to Larry King: interview the Beasleys, please. Youth wants to know. Don't let this story die.

That is surely the hope of all yet, realistically, it is doubtful that this will happen for fear of the Medias’ offending ‘moderate Muslim’ sensibilities as with the new official State Dept. lexicon. Witness for example the honor killing of Sarah & Amina Said, of Irving, TX, by their sex crazed and jealous Egyptian father last January which was prudently ignored by all but the local media. I’m not optimistic.

This is an example of using democracy to destroy democracy. It is an employee's right to refuse to follow an employers directions that the employee sees as immoral. The employer does not get to decide what is immoral. It is a muslims right to refuse to comply with what they see as an immoral requirement.
Depending on how serious the incident, the employee has three choices. Ask for a transfer to some other non offensive dept. Or quit, before you get fired, and seek moral employment elsewhere. Or file a complaint with the Dept of Labor.
How ever, I think these Islamic 'pork' labor disputes are contrived. I am against cigarette smoking since four of my relatives died from those complications, I consider the selling of dangerous drugs to a select group of addicts to be immoral.
If I was an anti-tobacco activist, I could take a job in a mkt that sells these products, then refuse to sell on a moral basis, raise havoc, challenge the system, maybe sue if I got fired...All contrived.
Would muslims do this about 'pork' and 'prayers'???

After the takeover, Church's also starting serving pre-porked goats (served only to neighboring villages, per Khomeini), and you can also now order your rice and beans with or without dried feces sprinkles.
They briefly considered offering the equivalent of Happy Meals, but decided there is no happiness in Islam.

Nah, I was thinking more along the lines of:
Al Masjid al Mahdi Falafel Shack, but then I was reminded that the more purist Muslim believes ardently that The Prophet™ 's lips never were soiled by that chickpea delicacy.
Of course, they may put goat or lamb marinated in yogurt and nana on the menu, but I wouldn't be too sure. I have seen this sort of restaurant jihad before in Roanoke VA. It gets really ugly fast.
First rule of restaurant jihad: Buy into chain of southern restaurants, like WAFFLE HOUSE, and open one across the street from another pancake joint, of which there are many, especially maw and paw ops.
Second: Harass restaurateurs across the street with health inspectors and malicious rumor mongering, law suits and the like, and when their business dries up, kindly offer to buy it from them.
Third: If and when they refuse to sell, sweetly persuade them a little, by burning down their restaurant and making them look like arsonists out to bilk their insurance company.
Fourth: Should they manage - after all that you have tried to do for them! - to persuade the FBI that you are responsible and now you have to go to court to avoid deportation, (racists najis!)
threaten to kill them if they testify against you.
Fifth: Just before the trial date, have them die in an accidental fire that your sons set in order to destroy the evidence that you either beat them to death or shot them...or both.
Last: Leave the country and go back to Middle Eastern Hell Hole, until you think the coast is clear.
(The Poor Oppressed Outraged Palestinkians who did the following came back and were arrested and sentenced to life without parole, which means they will probably be out in a few years.

Well I don't have to boycott, I have never set foot in any of those places. Not even the Col's.
My number one rule in life is...'Lips that touch chicken shall never touch mine'.
I could go into great detail as to why that is, but I don't want to hurt the feelings of any chicken lovers. I am a recovered chicken lover myself. I have been chicken clean for thirty years, but I used to be highly indulgent. It took years of intense psycho therapy and dietary adjustments to get over my chicken addiction. Did you know that nearly every
criminal in our prisons will eat chicken if you give it to them? That's just the tip of the iceberg.
Most government officials eat chicken, and look what it does to them. I can see where muslims might recoil at the pork part, but maybe they should go do something else. They too will eat chicken when available, and you can see the effects. I think chicken consumption is the reason that so many muslims seem to mis-understand the Quran. Is there any hadith that describe Mohammad sitting down to a chicken dinner? Chicken loving muslims could be making a big mistake. Maybe it's actually haram to eat chicken. This sounds like it needs a ruling by Islamic schools, or at least some Ayatollah...
