Orthodox Muslims consider the Ahmadis heretical. So they're practicing a bit of pre-emptive dhimmitude so as to avoid worse from the Religion of Tolerance. "Ahmadiyah closes mosque to avoid attacks," by Theresia Sufa for The Jakarta Post (thanks to Twostellas):
Members of Ahmadiyah sect voluntarily pulled down the roof to their mosque, An Nur, in Ciaruteun kampung, Bogor regency, on Wednesday.The police put tape around the mosque to assure no one would enter the area.
An Ahmadiyah member, Nunik, who lives next door, said closing the mosque was the best way to prevent violence.
"It is OK for us not to pray at the mosque. We can still do it at home. The most important thing is that our houses are safe," she said.
A resident in the kampung, Asep Abdul Aziz, said he praised the sect's decision to close their mosque because minor physical attacks had already occurred.
"Some residents threw stones at the mosque a few days earlier. It might get worse if the mosque remains open," he said....

The Ahmadis have succeeded in breaking what was to be an unassailable sacred cow of Islam, that Muhammad was the "seal of the Prophets". Witness the violence and intolerance which they have thus "provoked"...such a telling reminder of the theological rigidity within Islam that remains such an impediment to reform efforts. Furthermore, the fact that the Ahmadis have largely sworn off violent Jihad offers a striking alternative to the prevailing winds.
One of the measures of the success of the Protestant Reformation was the proliferation of Christian sects that occurred in the 16th and 17th centuries. When Martin Luther broke the monopoly of the Catholic Church on Christianity...he inadvertently broke the monopoly of Christianity on Western thought.
The survival and well-being of the Ahmadis today has more relevance than many understand.

It's a shame, but if they think they'll be safe in their homes, and free to pray there, they're much mistaken. Mainstream Islam will soon be persecuting them.
Funny that, as all they seem to be doing is claiming the same things that mainstream Islam claims to be: tolerant, and non-violent. Someone must be lying, or why would they object?

THe world in todays time is seeing much suffering and much death, mostly at the hands of Muslims. I personally do not care if the Ahmadi suffer or not. but for as long as I have been around lurking here and there, I have read your posts. I find your views on Islam troubling, on one line you may condemn Muslim violence, but on another you promote the tenets of Islam that so many Muslims live and die by .

You have shown great determination in your efforts to bring Islam to others. But the world is wising up to Islam and Islams future is not so rosy. THe Ahmadis are not as peaceful as you would have others believe.
The neighborhoods surrounding the AHmadi mosques being built in Europe are fast becoming Islamic no go ghettos just as the neighborhoods surrounding the mosques of other Muslim sects are becoming violent Islamic no go ghettos.
YOu preach from time to time about how terrible "a few Muslims " behave., and it has been pointed out to you many times by many people that "a few Muslims" is actually more that "a few Muslims" and the Muslims will kill and are killing Ahmadis simply because the Ahmadis are not Muslim enough.
THe Ahmadis are not that different from the other Muslims that refuse to condemn the violence enschrewed upon the world "for the sake of Allah", and you do not condemn the Muslims attempts to take over the world inch by inch..in fact, you encourage it..
Neither the Ahmadis nor any other MUslim Group will succeed. Many will die in their grand plans. it is Sad, but If the Ahmadi do not fight radical Islam nor condemn their violent ways then they will succumb to Allahs will and die..
and no one will care. Everyone knows Allah hates Muslims even more than he hates infidels.
Islam is all about death and the Ahmadis are beginning to feel the true venom of Islam.

That's because conventional methods of preventing violence would have no effect here - of course not - one must remove their roof to curtail the violence in Islamoland.

Lahore...a good place to avoid, even if you are a Muslim, especially if you are a Muslim.
Lahore used to attract tourists, but few go there now.

Yes in fact that is exactly who I mean. I don't care HWO he is descended from. His great-grandfather is turkish by the way. I think Robert spencer traces his ancestry to Turkey as well.
