European Commission President: Islam is part of Europe

"We can be a European citizen being a Christian, being Jewish or Muslim or having no religion." Yes, and because of you and people like you, Barroso, eventually only Muslims will be European citizens, with Jews and Christians reduced to dhimmi status.

"Barroso: Islam is part of Europe," from Khabrein.info, May 5 (thanks to the Constantinopolitan Irredentist):

BRUSSELS , May 5: The President of the European Commission, Jose Manuel Barroso, underlined here Monday that Islam is part and parcel of Europe and he also condemned the concept of clash of civilisations.

"Islam today is part of Europe. It is important to understand this. One should not see Islam as outside Europe. We already have an important presence of Islam and Muslims among our citizens," Barroso told a press conference this afternoon after an informal dialogue between EU leaders and around twenty high-level representatives of Christianity, Judaism and Islam in Europe.

"We can be a European citizen being a Christian, being Jewish or Muslim or having no religion," he noted.

On his part, the Grand Mufti of Bosnia-Herzegovina, Dr.Mustafa Ceric, said Islam is indeed part of Europe but unfortunately Turkey is not yet part of Europe.

"Following this logic Europe has to prove that Islam is part of Europe by not delaying the acceptance of Turkey to the EU," Ceric told the joint press conference....

Nothing to brag about.

Did the French, Dutch, Belgians, Norwegians, Danes, Czechs and Poles say the same about the Nazis during WW II?

Just because they had successfully invaded, they were suddenly considered members of those societies?

Barroso is Portuguese.
The nature of the Portuguese economy means that Portugal is unlikely to be the 1st,2nd or 3rd choice of the several million Kurds and Turks who will try to move into Europe during the first two years following accession.
Therefore, I don't think that Barroso has much reason to care about the consequences for Europe as a whole in this case.
Portugal is a relatively homogenous country, with a very small Muslim population (the common estimate seems to be around 50,000, about 0.5% of the total population), low rates of crime, and a very pleasant climate.
Turkish accession will greatly increase the influence of Islam in the wealthier parts of Europe. As those areas go into decline, the rich will look for safer places to live and spend their money, and Portugal may seem very attractive, and less inconvenient than getting out of Europe altogether.
Barroso will be comfortably retired by then, with his back to the Atlantic and a nice view of Spain sinking back into the past.

Of course there is a clash of civilizations going on right under Barroso's nose. But he simply fails to see it or he is already allowing himself to be subdued prior to being subjugated.

Could this EU Commission President represent the mainstream of the EU populations beliefs on this? I surely hope not.

There have been several articles in recent weeks that have pointed out that the EU population is waking up to the threat of this uncompromising ideology that is Islam. Even the French who have one of the largest populations of Muslims is waking up to the threrat of Islam and its determination to bring sharia law and a caliphate to the entire world.

We have seen over and over again the inability of large communties of Muslims in France,The Netherlands, and Britain that are not assimilating into Western societies and are demanding special rights whether work in a fast food restaurant,a hospital,or incarcerrated in prisons.

But Mr. Barraso has chosen to not see the writing on the wall.

Europe is finished, and so is the U.S., if its pathetic leadership doesn't reject its shameful dhimmitude.

Posted by: US_infidel [TypeKey Profile Page] at May 5, 2008 7:21 PM

The fact that, over the past four decades, heedless political elites have allowed Muslims, by the hundreds of thousands, and then by the millions, to enter and settle within the nation-states of non-Muslim Europe, does not mean that "Islam is part of Europe." Islam is what threatened Europe. Islam is what Europe had to fight off, had to push back. Islam is, or the Shari'a is, exactly what Europe is not, in spirit and letter. If you seek to find out what characterizes the civilization of the West, and of its heart, Europe, at its best, you will find that everything that counts, everything that is most important, cannot be found in Islam, is prohibited or discouraged by Islam.

Muslims may conquer Europe, merely through demographic conquest -- continued immigration, gigantic families (paid for by Infidel taxpayers), and campaigns of Daw'a among the psychically and economically marginal Infidels. But Islam is not part of Europe, and a Europe where Muslims extend their power, and dominate, will no longer be Europe, except in the merely geographic sense. It will be something else.

The mythological indicators for people who warn about the danger of Islam and Muslim immigration into Europe are not good.
When Laocoon struck the Trojan horse with his spear in order to prove it was a Greek trick, he and his two sons were immediately crushed by sea-serpents sent by a hostile god, leading the Trojans to believe it was indeed a sacred object. Cassandra's warnings went,as usual, unbelieved and she ended her days as Agamemnon's sex slave before being murdered by Clytemnestra.
The almost wilful way in which the European political and intellectual elite ignores the self-evident threat that Islam poses to their states and culture has the same self-deluding quality as that shown by the inhabitants of that doomed city.
Interestingly enough, the man who devised the trick in the first place - Odysseus - was a great believer in the efficacy of telling lies. Readers of the Odyssey find that he frequently lies to strangers about who he is, sometimes when he doesn't even have to.

Let's see what would happen if the EU would ban the burka? How fast do you think the rioting in European cities would begin? Might be fun to watch though.

Strange I don't know of one Silician who thinks Arabs are part of Europe, despite their history. Where does this eurocrat come off with this position?

Barrosa doesn't represent the mind set of Portugal. Perhaps he should look at the symbolism contained in his flag: castles recaptured from the Muslims and five shields representing the heads of Moorish leaders who stood in the way of King Alphonse I and French, English and Flemish Crusaders. The "clash of civilisations" was going on then and is continuing now. The Portuguese of the past did not accept the Muslim invaders nor will the Portuguese of today.

Barossa will be dhimmied by Islam, unless the Tenth Crusade gets started soon, an early task being getting the Barossas of the EC and EU out of power. Either way he looses, but if Islam wins, Europe looses.

A dangerous man, this Mustafa Ceric.

Remember the name. And keep watching!

"the Grand Mufti of Bosnia-Herzegovina, Dr.Mustafa Ceric, said Islam is indeed part of Europe but unfortunately Turkey is not yet part of Europe"

Turkey, in history books often referred to as Asia Minor, has a miniscule proportion of its territory in Europe. If we take this concept to its logical conclusion then:

Spain is African because Ceuta and Melitta are in Africa.

France and the UK are Latin American because of Guiana and the Falkland Islands.

The USA is Caribbean because of Guantanamo Bay.

Etc etc...

Logic was never the strong point of the Mohammedans.

The perversity of the situation!

POLITICIANS are the ONLY GROUP of Europeans who agree 100% that Islam should be part of Europe.

The vast majority of European CITIZENS are AGAINST Islam being in Europe... At the last count more than 60% of Europeans voted against Turkey joining the EU... and most dislike Islam intensely.

It's time politicians started representing their citizens.

What was seen in the Balkins in the 90's with the civil war violence could be a preview of what could happen in Europe as a whole.

"Pig-Slam" is part of Europe, `eh?
Could you tell me where the vast deserts of Europe are? ("Pig-Slam's" roots are of desert tribalism.) When has "Pig-Slam" endorsed the Universal Human Rights statement? (Which Europe universally accepts.) If these totalitarian ideologists are part of Europe, why are they so stubbornly refusing to BE a part of Europe?(ie; assimilate) If they are part of Europe, why do they want to impose a foreign ideology and life style upon all Europeans? (NOT by voting, but by demand.) What European nation does the name "Moo-Ham-Mud" come from? How about Ibriham, Jabril, Ismael, etc, etc, etc? Could you please educate me on what European nation micro-manages every aspect of a person's life, (even their thoughts) via a 7th century pedophile's ideology?
C'mon all you imams, I desire enlightenment!

It is like saying cancer is part of human. Cancer kills human and Muslims will destroy and take over Europe.

The Fascism, Natzism and Communism were (past tense) part of Europe and they were defeated.

Islam needs to be defeated in Europe!

Or Europe will be dead, Islamized.

This is the kind of nonsense that people start accepting once they reject Belloc's observation that "Europe is the Faith, and the Faith is Europe."

NamFrank, I pronounce it I-slam, as hitting fairly hard. That's workable.

Actually, in Danish there's another interpretation. 'slam' means 'waste', like sevage, and 'I' means 'in'. Here in Copenhagen we have a small tower modelleded after minarets, and that tower happens to be a ventilation shaft for a sevage draining system.

So, that tower is located in-waste...

Correction: Islam is part of the "new" Europe. (The one built by western Europe's political megalomaniacs).

The Europe that has now become an Islamic dictatorship by the fruits of western Europe's pseudo-democratic handiwork.

Posted by: pythagoras [TypeKey Profile Page] at May 6, 2008 10:17 PM

NamFrank:

There are now at least two Islamic majority states in Europe: Albania and Bosnia (and possibly a third: Kosovo, now supposedly independent from Serbia, which apparently still wants the place). Many Balkan nations are now rapidly reaching 50%--50% parity in their national population percentages of Muslims. Within a few decades the Balkan region will almost certainly be Islamic majority.

Due to low European society birthrates and extremely high Islamic society birthrates, it is highly probable that nations such as the Netherlands, Belgium, Denmark, Germany, France, Norway, Sweden, Italy, Spain, and Russia with their falling native birth rates and surging Islamic birthrates and immigration will reach Islamic majority within their total national populations by the year 2050.

You seem unable to connect the dots. Hopefully this helps.

sheik -

Mustafa Ceric was one of the 138 'scholars' who signed off on that 'letter from the Muslims to the Christians' in October 2007. (A letter which, as analysed by UK Bishop Patrick Sookhdeo, essentially comprised a summons to all Christians to 'convert...OR ELSE!!').

Along with, inter alia, Ikrima Sabri who denies that there was ever a Jewish temple on the Temple Mount [!!! liar liar pants on fire] and Shariatmadari who in an op ed in a major state mouthpiece paper in Iran on 28 January this year, in essence called for Muslims all over the world to attack their Jewish neighbours. (I found a number of other nasty antisemites among the 138 - and I haven't yet researched them all).

Ceric keeps bad company.
