"Afghan hijacker 'working at Heathrow,'" by Graham Tibbetts in the Telegraph, May 16 (thanks to Sr. Soph):
An Afghan hijacker who forced an airliner to fly to Britain is now working at Heathrow, it has been disclosed.Nazamuddin Mohammidy, 34, was one of a gang of nine that threatened to blow up an internal flight in Afghanistan, along with 173 passengers and crew, unless they were granted political asylum.
The Afghan hijackers forced the Boeing 727 to divert to Britain where they surrendered to police and the SAS after a 70-hour stand-off at Stansted Airport, Essex in February 2000.
Mohammidy, of Hounslow, Middlesex, is now working as an office cleaner for British Airways....

This is appauling news and should be on every newspapers front page yet we were treated insted to more coverage about Terminal 5 and the internal hitches surrounding the luggage searchi-uhum-sorting.
How can this country continue to hold its head up in the international cicuit if this kind of appeasement and defeatist approach towards Terrorism and militants of every persuasion continues. Can someone point out specificly where Britania pawned her shield and spear because she needs them back and damn in a sharpish fashion!

It gets crazier by the minute, he was picked up for skipping bail for beating up his landlord! But to be fair to the politicians for once, they did want to kick him and his buddys out but a Judge said that would not be nice and stopped them.
For those who are not familiar with the story they hijacked the plane in Afghanistan and headed direct for the UK stopping to refuel at several places enroute. They knew about Londonistan even then.

Sorry, Robert, it is a joke as is Britain in general these days. They've done it to themselves. It hurts to see it. But they have finished their descent from empire to sad sorry joke. I sincerely wish they had stopped on the way down say in the mid fifties or mid sixties rather than carrying it all to the extremes they have gone now.

He got his family out and according to reports has a house paid for by the British taxpayer, free health care and education with all the Afghan culture and mosques he needs in Londonistan. Also how many Afghans in Afghanistan have cars and get to beat up their landlords?

IF this guy ever did another terrorist act the headline would read something like this:" Asylum seeker who was a member of a non-violent religion bent on improving the lives of their adherenants and promoting peace and understanding between all religions, who never had any inclinations towards terrorism or commercial aviation, is suspected of defending himself against Zionist agents and saboteurs by_" You fill in the blank.
