Islamic Tolerance Alert from the Islamic Republic.
"Iran: Ten Christian converts arrested," from AKI, May 28 (thanks to Religion of Peace):
Tehran, 28 May (AKI) - Ten Iranians who converted from Islam to Christianity in recent months have been arrested in the southern city of Shiraz.According to Goodarz, a spokesperson for the Iranian converts, more than 35 of them have been arrested since the beginning of the year. Goodarz himself has taken refuge in Dubai, in the United Arab Emirates.
The new Majlis or Iranian parliament which met for the first time on Tuesday will be discussing in the coming weeks proposed laws presented by the government to reform the penal code.
Under the new law, anyone born to a Muslim father who decides to renounce Islam and convert to another faith, faces the death penalty.
The punishment is currently absent from the Iranian penal code even though in the past, dozens of Christian converts and followers of the Bahai faith have been hanged.
It is, of course, the traditional Islamic legal penalty for apostasy.

Let's hope they are not gay as well. Anyone brave enough to publicly leave islam in iran has more courage than I possess.

It seems to me that Christianity is ascendent in cultures where it is underground or imprisoned. We are hearing more and more about Muslim converts from Algeria to Iran and beyond.

Thank Allah, the mullahs have that "Death to Apostasy" thing. How many Muslims would leave Islam without it? Gosh, there might not be any believers left in Iran. What would the mullahs do? What if you had a stoning and nobody showed up to stone the defendant?
What if you issued a fatwa and no one paid any attention?

I guess the meeting with Ahmedinejad may be a trap for an unsuspecting son of a Muslim father.
