the story is all-but unbelievable. why would a principal overrule her superiors to include terrorist sympathizers -- excuse me, to include religious people who support mainstream islamic aspirations -- in a program for middle-school children?

my guess is that she is ignorant, which is not a crime. if you write to robin lowe, please do so respectfully, assuming that she meant no harm but needs elementary details.

another possibility, of course, is that she is now a muslim.

Maybe, but there was no mention of statements, or manner of dress, on Principal Lowe's part to that effect.

But the article does state:

"The parent [who made the original complaint] reported [that] Lowe told students her [Lowe's] sister, niece and nephew were Muslim.

Note, too, this nonsensical, but typical, bit of equivalence:

"The apparent goal of the "Islamic Awareness" presentation was "to increase understanding of the Islamic culture in response to racially motivated comments that have been made to students on campus."

With that many kiddies in the assembly, there MUST have been other adults in there with them.

Why did THEY allow that presentation to occur, and did any of them question the information being presented?

If I can locate the link I'll post it . . .but I recall reading that this particular principal, Robin Lowe has relations that are muslim. She has four children of her own and one grandchild here and one on the way. Either her sibling or one of her children is now involved in Islam, which is likely what drew her to this 'cultural' presentation.

Until we see evidence of equal time and disciplined captivity to subject matter for all world religions including Hinduism, Judaism, Buddhism, etc., this 40 minute presentation is nothing but propaganda of the worst kind.

If you go to the link above for the powerpoint, it seems very truncated at the end ("Gender Relations" last slide, no closing). If any parent saw this presentation, I would like to know if it was the actual ending.

This powerpoint is pure propaganda, and contains many misrepresentations and untruths.

Why? Because Sikhs, as I understand it, came into existence PRIMARILY IN ORDER TO ATTACK AND *FIGHT* ISLAM AND THUS TO DEFEND MOTHER INDIA !! Sikhs even today regard Islam with a deep and abiding, intelligent and entirely justified hatred.

Sikhs were and are implacable foes to Muslims. One could argue that, like the Crusading Orders of Christian Europe - e.g. the Knights of St John, or The Knights Templar - or like the modern IDF, the Sikhs are what can happen when a peace-loving, creative, generally law-abiding and cooperative Golden Rule civilisation is attacked by Islam.

If it manages to survive the initial onslaught it will only go on surviving if it produces Antibodies: an organised military entity which, while still adhering to the core values of the defending society, will attack the amoral jihadi hordes with the necessary fierceness. India in response to the Muslim onslaught produced a whole new soldierly form of faith; while her existing warrior castes had to learn, fast, that Muslim armies did not observe any moral code at all, either during war or after, and would have to be fought accordingly.

Re slides # 19 and #20 let's just tell those junior high students about Aqsa Parvez in Canada, shall we, whose father MURDERED HER because she wouldn't wear the headscarf? Or those schoolgirls who died in a fire in Saudi Arabia because the religious police wouldn't let them out of the building in a state of 'undress'? Or those - 40, was it? - women who were murdered in Basra by jihadis, for wearing unislamic clothing? Or the girls in Gaza and in Arab-occupied Judea and Samaria who get told, by the jihadis, to cover up - or they'll have acid thrown in their faces. And let's not forget the Modesty Police in Persia, who bash women up and arrest them if they show so much as a wisp of head hair in public.

Re. slide #25 - let's tell those junior high students about Amina and Sarah Said, whose Muslim father MURDERED them because they were dating - and, even worse - dating NON-MUSLIM boys, an offence punishable by death under sharia law. Or we can tell the kids about that young university student in Iraq whose Muslim father MURDERED her, in a particularly horrid fashion, merely because she was sweet on a nice young non-Muslim British soldier with whom she'd barely exchanged two or three words across the room.

Our neighborhood reporter, Thayer Evans, received this terse announcement from Friendswood ISD late Wednesday:

Robin Lowe, Friendswood Junior High Principal, has accepted another administrative position effective immediately.
The process for a new junior high principal has begun.

…Details have been trickling out. In a letter apologizing to parents and community members on Saturday, Superintendent Trish Hanks said the presentation was in “response to an incident that occurred between students at Friendswood Junior High School and the perception and fear that it caused to some involved.” She also said CAIR considered it a “hate crime.”

Take it with a grain of salt.

CAIR hopes to give their presentation at other public schools.
