DETROIT (AP) — A judge rejected a Lebanese-born defendant's request that he remove himself from a case involving terrorism because the judge is Jewish.Fawzi Mustapha Assi, 48, has pleaded guilty to providing support for a terrorist group. He addressed the court Monday against the advice of his attorney, saying he heard rumors that U.S. District Judge Gerald E. Rosen is a Zionist and might have pro-Israel sympathies.
Assi said he was concerned the judge could not be impartial when sentencing him for supporting "one of the most hated enemies of the state of Israel."
Rosen said Assi's request was "a little late" and that the court "has bent over backwards" to ensure fairness.
Assi, a former resident of Dearborn, was arrested in 1998 when he tried to board a plane to Lebanon with visual and navigational equipment for Hezbollah. He pleaded guilty in November 2007....

Yes of course the UMMAH or Muslim Judge would be very impartial. Not to mention a Christian Judge or a Buddhist Judge or for that matter a Hindu Judge will certainly be partial. They are all unbelievers so certainly they will be partial. This pathetic Mohammedan.

Hmm...
Maybe the judge should have recused himself, on this one. I think there's a risk of the conviction being overturned on appeal, though the criminal did plead guilty. (He might be able to claim duress, at the notion of being tried by a Jewish jurist.)

i foresee a appeal from this mud-lim based on the judge being jewish but chances are he would only consider a sharia court to be impartial

Every such moment is a potential 'teaching moment' - a moment which informed kafir can use to mention to the uninformed, for example, the fact that serious mainline Muslims, jihad-and-sharia-minded Muslims, do not recognise the validity of any law other than that of Islam, nor do they recognise as valid any kafir judge nor any kafir political or legal authority, period.
However: if the kafir happens to have overwhelming physical force and the Muslim does not, the Muslim will lie low, temporarily, pleading darura, and submit to those irksome kafir laws, temporarily and with a bad grace.
One must expect Muslims brought to trial before a kafir court, for almost any reason, not just 'terror' [jihad] charges, but for just about anything - shoplifting, theft, fraud major and minor, traffic violations, assault, rape, murder - to show "contempt of court" much more often than kafir do. (The other possible response is a grovelling, fawning submission).
Any court reporters, barristers, police persons, journalists reading or posting here, with sufficient experience around the court houses, to be able to offer an opinion on this topic? How do Muslim defendants generally behave in kafir courts?
