More on this story. "Leave Us Alone, Wives, Children of Man With 86 Wives Cry Out," from All Africa, September 19:
The travails of the 84-year old man with 86 wives seem to be borne more by outsiders than the people at the centre of the matrimonial show.Yesterday, over 80 family members of Pa Abubakar Bello Masaba stormed Minna, Niger State capital, in protest against the arrest, arraignment and continued detention of their husband and father.
The home of the Masabas' was stormed in a Gestapo manner at about 3 am last Monday and the man with 86 wives whisked away to be arraigned at the Minna Upper Sharia Court. He is now in prison custody.
At the Upper Sharia Court presided over by Alhaji Abdulkareem Ibrahim, Masaba was accused of "inciting/insulting contempt of religious creed, instituting un-lawful marriage ceremony without lawful marriage contrary to section 210, 383, and 386 of the Penal Code."
Family members of Masaba comprising about 50 of the wives among them pregnant and nursing mothers and about 30 of the children arrived the premises of the state ministry of justice along Paiko road, Minna in two buses and several cars at about 10 am yesterday.
The women and children of the detained Pa Masaba were accompanied on the protest visit by some Islamic clerics, chanting Islamic songs, which tended to exonerate their husband and father from any form of criminal act that could warrant his arrest and detention.
They carried placards with inscriptions protesting the continued detention of their breadwinner, the protesting family members told all those who cared to listen that their father had not committed any offence and was not criminal to be put in prison custody.
The inscriptions on some of the placards read: "Don't render our unborn children fatherless," "Grave sin, grave sin, tampering with another mans' family affairs," "Our children needs their father" and "Sharia Commission, leave our husband and father alone."

Rights groups have mobilized to defend Masaba, promising to enlist 86 lawyers for the 86 wives.
Meanwhile, Masaba has asked the Federal High Court sitting in Abuja to nullify the death sentence (Fatwa) passed on him by the highest Islamic body in Northern Nigeria, Jamatu Nasril Islam...

Family members of Masaba comprising about 50 of the wives among them pregnant and nursing mothers and about 30 of the children arrived the premises ...Now, I'm really impressed! 84 years old, and he's still impregnating the women he's marrying - dude, this guy ain't bragging when he boasts about his virile stamina.
The good news is that he's in Nigeria, rather than the Infidel West (although I do sympathize with the Christians of that country, who can't secede as Baifra or anything else). This episode shows us that there isn't an age limit to which Mohammedan men can continue to be a threat with demographic Jihad: if you have enough young Muslimahs around, and if there's even one Mohammedan, even 80, that's a guarantee that those Muslimahs will be nursing future Jihadis before too long.
Lessons, of course, that won't be heeded without a major bloodbath.

Infidel Pride, it's in Niger, not Nigeria. Niger is a country north of Nigeria.

This Niger is not the country north of Nigeria that was a source of Uranium once to Libya and later potentially to Iraq: this Niger is a state in North Western Nigeria that has Shariah law.

Note on the right panel the capital is Minna (not Niamey, which is the capital of the country you allude to), which is where the demonstrations by that large family took place, as mentioned in the above story.
OT: the problem I was having was that sometimes, the page would be only partially showing, but a refresh solves the problem. Is this something anyone else is noticing? For the record, I'm using the new IE8 Beta 2, which may explain why. If that's the case, I'll shut up on this if no one else is having this problem.

The wiki article above does note that even though Christians and Mohammedans are evenly split in that state, it still adapted Shariah law.
After all, if UK can adapt it despite Mohammedans being ??%, who can blame the residents of Niger?

I think it's more likely that several of Masaba's sons are impregnating his wives. His family is so large that inbreeding may not be a problem.

The women say the unborn children and the born children need their father. He is 86 with children on the way.
We he be able to be a father to those kids?
Unlikely.
Plus older fathers have a higher rate of children with tendancies to mental disorders.
