This being "part of fresh plans to prevent radicalisation and address community concerns."
"Muslim youths to advise ministers," from BBC, October 7 (thanks to Kyros):
A group of young British Muslims are being named as advisers to ministers as part of a drive against extremism. So the logic is that, if the Muslim youth don't get a "voice" -- one to "advise" ministers with -- more suicide attacks may occur? More "frustration-leads-to-violence" logic. The move comes as part of fresh plans to prevent radicalisation and address community concerns.
The 22 Muslims aged 16-25 will hold regular meetings with key ministers and civil servants.
Muslims called for a voice for youngsters in an official plan after the 2005 London suicide bombings which killed 52 people.
The advisory group comes as the government is rethinking how to prevent violent extremism, a key element of counter-terrorism strategy.Officials have acknowledged more work needs to be done to reach out into Muslim communities.[...]
They [Muslim youth] will be asked to give direct views to ministers on key issues including extremism, discrimination, citizenship and how they see Islam fitting into British society.
In turn, officials hope they will take the dialogue with government back into communities. The 22 have been partly chosen because of their track-records of community action and volunteering.
One of the advisers, 18-year-old medical student Aziza Al Yassin, said: "I hope to highlight the forgotten achievements of the Muslim community in Britain, as well as the areas where improvement is needed, not only with regards to tackling violence and extremism, but also in helping develop our mosques, education and interaction with the wider community.[...]
Ministers are understood to be prepared to have frank conversations with the advisors over foreign policy and other issues playing a role in terrorism recruitment.

Wow. Talk about letting the inmates run the asylum.
England is getting stupider by the day.

Shouldn't it be "Asian" youths?

No matter who attends these meetings, no matter what kufr 'dialogue' the young muslims take back to the Ummah, the jihad will continue.
These officials are full of their own self importance, and think they have magickal powers
of persuasion like Obama.
Dangerous egomaniacs in their own right...

More than likely this will end up with the ministers receiving an ever growing list of demands to keep peace within the Islamic Community. Kind of a special needs program offered up by UK ministers to once again appease this community that does not assimilate into Western Culture. The problem is that if you have these politicians out there trying to address the problem without having a working knowledge of how Muslims think and operate within the context of the teachings of the Quran and the hadiths, you will easily run the risk of not handling their concerns within a framework that does not take away from your British Identity.

So the lesson learned is that to get the ear of those in power, make threats and raise general hell.

MP: It works for Obama and company.
I think the efforts described in this article would be met with our local saying of,"This is like pi#sing up a rope."

My fundamental concern has nothing to do with Islam - what parent of a 16 year old person really believes that that individual should be advising government on any issue? Keep in mind when I say this that I have three teenagers of which I am very proud, and I would still say it.
Kind of reminds me of the story of David's Absalom. A disaster in the making.

Good luck with that. Expect the usual whining, taqiyya, victimhood, blame game "it's all America's, Israel's fault," demands for special privileges, projecting "you're doing this to us," poverty, cultural 'differences (like dis-honor killings), and usual teenage complaints and rebelliousness. How is this going to work? Adult Brits abrogate their social and governmental responsibilities to kids? Pathetic. Good luck!

Turning the asylum over to the maniacs ... as might have been expected.
This is the real meaning of their idiot dhimmi policies anyway, i.e. doing what the enemy tells them.
Why not make it overt?
Pretty soon we'll be seeing British men in burkas.

And this one really does guzzle when his snout is in the trough.

Why don't we just let the "advisors" swap jobs with the ministers? After all, this is the way Britain and Europe are heading anyway...
Isn't Islamic Britain as "inevitable" as sharia was?
Just vote labour, liberal or conservative - and you'll get what you always wanted... more Islam.
