Italy: Muslims protest mosque closure by performing Friday prayers in the street

Italian authorities said the mosque "is located in an industrial area" and they offered the Muslims a temporary place of worship five kilometres away. Not good enough.

"Italy: Muslims protest against mosque closure," from Adnkronos, October 9:

Modena. Muslims in the northern Italian city of Sassuolo plan to protest on Friday against what they claim is the town council's refusal to allow them to build a mosque.

"Tomorrow we will perform Friday prayers in the street, to protest against the municipality for not allowing us to have a mosque," said Hisham Abu Marwan, spokesman for the Islamic Association Huda of Sassuolo, in an interview with Adnkronos International (AKI).

The Muslim community, guided by Egyptian-born imam Sheikh Tareq, said it wanted to continue protesting against the council which had ordered police to close the prayer hall that the community had been using for more than 10 years.

"We will pray in the street in front of the mosque that was shut down, and there will be several hundred of us so that the municipality does not discriminate against us," said Abu Marwan.

"We wanted to follow the rules and so we rented a new place where we could pray, but the authorities deemed it unsuitable because they said it is located in an industrial area and not an appropriate place to carry out religious activities."

Abu Marwan said that explanations from city authorities are nothing but excuses and asked them to allow them to pray in the place that they rented.

The council offered the group a temporary place of worship located five kilometres outside of Sassuolo. But Abu Marwan said the location was too far away, and the community was looking for a permanent solution instead.

At least 300 Muslims from Sassuolo, an industrial city near Modena, have been praying in the past few days outside the mosque closed by the authorities.

There is a considerable number of Moroccan immigrants that work in the ceramic factories in Modena who have been living there for years.

The city doesn't have to finance, build, and give you a mosque, you morons!

What? Is all that zakat you're collecting going back to Islamland?

Morons.

Concerned Citizen,

I've had a lousy day. Thanks for the laugh!

There is a considerable number of Moroccan immigrants that work in the ceramic factories in Modena who have been living there for years."
-- from the article above

The real cost of these Muslim immigrants is not reflected in whatever they are paid. The real cost -- in the damage to social cohesion and cultural continuity, the cost of more police and security personnel of all kinds, and lawyers and judges and, ultimately, prison guards -- is sky-high. When will this be learned?

Send those who have not yet managed to obtain citizenship back. Make sure that money does not come from the outside to support mosques and madrasas. Make sure that Italy, Modena, Sassuolo, are turned from Islam-friendly to Islam-hostile places, where it will become clear that no one is going to yield to the demands of the adherents of a primitive, aggressive, hostile and dangerous Belief System that has nothing to do with, and threatens in a thousand ways, what makes Italy Italy. Relentlessly, inexorably, places that have been far too lax in their own self-defense can become as bristling porcupines, and those who wish to lead a Muslim existence will find that they will have to do so elsewhere. That realization cannot come too soon. And it has to be followed everywhere in the Western world, if that world is to retain what is best about it.

Once again muslims behave like they are owed and deserve total religious accomodation by the people and/or government of their host country, including a venue in which to conduct their ritualistic mumbo jumbo and groveling to allah.

How many churches are there in Morocco, how many Christians? I doubt if they were invited to Italy and I doubt if the Italian people are thrilled at their presence. If they want a mosque, they should go home and build one---in Morocco.

At what point does the cry of "discrimmination" go beyond and morph into something like "you are discrimminating against us because you are unwilling to be our slaves and to put yourselves and your beliefs beneath ours?" If it is repeated enough times with the proper word substitutions and additions it could become as widely accepted as the "religion of peace" phrase. Just days after 9-11 who ever would've thought ANYONE would allow it to be referred to in that manner?

Sounds like islamic spoiled brats to me! If there
is garbage in the streets then pick it up and toss them out, of the country! Italy is one country that has shown some back bone against the islamic rabble that comes in and tries to change everything to "their way." Italy should lead the way for the rest of europistan.

Why aren't they asking for help in the fight against world hunger while they whine about themselves in the street, or the AIDS epidemic in Africa, a cure for cancer? If any one group can get so much attention by acting like idiots in a street why don't they call attention to something that the rest of us might really want to help with? Islam, the religion of juvenile selfishness.

Offer them a place 500 miles south.

...there will be several hundred of us so that the municipality does not discriminate against us...

Sounds like two logical fallacies: 'Might Makes Right' and 'Appeal to Numbers'

Depending on what takes place, perhaps a third: 'Appeal to Fear'

Those who have ears ought to hear. [Numbers of believers will prevent discrimination.]

Not quite OT, something an old Army buddy sent me. I'm especially fond of Marine Rule 13.

Marine Corps Rules:
1. Be courteous to everyone, friendly to no one.
2. Decide to be aggressive enough, quickly enough.
3. Have a plan.
4. Have a back-up plan, because the first one probably won't work.
5. Be polite. Be professional. But, have a plan to kill everyone you meet.
6. Do not attend a gunfight with a handgun whose caliber does not start with a '4.'
7. Anything worth shooting is worth shooting twice. Ammo is cheap. Life is expensive.
8. Move away from your attacker. Distance is your friend. (Lateral &diagonal preferred.)
9. Use cover or concealment as much as possible.
10. Flank your adversary when possible. Protect yours.
11. Always cheat; always win. The only unfair fight is the one you lose.
12. In ten years nobody will remember the details of caliber, stance, or tactics. They will only remember who lived.
13. If you are not shooting, you should be communicating your intention to shoot.

Navy SEAL's Rules:
1. Look very cool in sunglasses.
2. Kill every living thing within view.
3. Adjust Speedo.
4. Check hair in mirror.

US Army Rangers Rules:
1. Walk in 50 miles wearing 75 pound rucksack while starving.
2. Locate individuals requiring killing.
3. Request permission via radio from 'Higher' to perform killing.
4. Curse bitterly when mission is aborted.
5. Walk out 50 miles wearing a 75 pound rucksack while starving.

US Army Rules:
1. Curse bitterly when receiving operational order.
2. Make sure there is extra ammo and extra coffee.
3. Curse bitterly.
4. Curse bitterly.
5. Do not listen to 2nd LTs; it can get you killed.
6. Curse bitterly.

US Air Force Rules:
1. Have a cocktail.
2. Adjust temperature on air-conditioner.
3. See what's on HBO.
4. Ask 'What is a gunfight?'
5. Request more funding from Congress with a 'killer' Power Point presentation.
6. Wine & dine 'key' Congressmen, invite DOD & defense industry executives.
7. Receive funding, set up new command and assemble assets.
8. Declare the assets 'strategic' and never deploy them operationally.
9. Hurry to make 13:45 tee-time.
10. Make sure the base is as far as possible from the conflict but close enough to have tax exemption.

US Navy Rules:
1. Go to Sea.
2. Drink Coffee.
3. Deploy Marines
Go Navy !

And the next... (You've got to love the military, and God bless them all.)

U.S. Navy Directive 16134 ( Inappropriate T-Shirts )
The following directive was issued by the commanding officer of all naval installations in the Middle East .
(It was obviously directed at the Marines.)

All commanders promulgate upon receipt.

The following T-shirts are no longer to be worn on or off base by any military or civilian personnel serving in the Middle East:

3. 'Napalm, Sticks Like Crazy' [Both English and Arabic versions]
4. 'Goat - it isn't just for breakfast any more.' [Both English and Arabic versions]

All commands are instructed to implement sensitivity training upon receipt.

They will not accept instructions from kaffirs and dhimmis.

They're superior, dont you know ... at least in their own minds.

From an article in Jerusalem Post, not so long ago, concerning the Chinese approach to a similar situation (Mohammedans ostentatiously praying in the public thoroughfare outside their 'too small' mosque).

http://www.jpost.com/servlet/Satellite?cid=1218104243115&pagename=JPArticle%2FShowFull

Here is the money quote:

"At noon prayers at one of the city's largest mosques, the crowd spilled out onto sidewalks, where men knelt on prayer rugs.

"A street-cleaning truck blasting loud music roared by the crowd spraying water that soaked the backs of worshippers."

Take note, O city fathers of Sassuolo. Learn from the wisdom of the East.

Call a Council of War for the city sanitation and street-cleaning personnel (non-Muslims only). In solemn conclave assembled, plan the campaign. Ascertain the Muslim times of prayer. Adjust the street-sweeping-and-washing schedule to coincide.

Install boom boxes in all trucks, to play Verdi, Monteverdi (Deus in adiutorium meum intende!), Vivaldi (Gloria), and such like, at top decibels; pick out the biggest, brawniest guys with the loudest voices to drive the trucks, singing along to all their favourite arias. (The Anvil Chorus from Il Trovatore might be a good one). Find large black dogs to ride on the back of every truck.

Send out the troops. Reclaim the Streets!

And then, as Concerned Citizen said, 'Vrooommm! Vrooom ! Vrooom!".

Once again muslims behave like they are owed and deserve total religious accomodation by the people and/or government of their host country, including a venue in which to conduct their ritualistic mumbo jumbo and groveling to allah.

The thing is that Italy doesn't recognize Islam as a religion so it doesn't owe them jack. Never will. Until Muslims can convene a representative council of six individuals who will unequivocally denounce jihad/terrorism/genocide, recognize and support Israel, and agree that all services are to be conducted in Italian and only in Italian, it will never be recognized as a religion. They certainly can't read more than 2 consecutive verses, teach Muslim dogma, or conduct the ritual brainwashing per Arab-supremacist standards both because of the language and the content of the 'prayers.'

We could learn a lot from Italy and China.

The council offered the group a temporary place of worship located five kilometres outside of Sassuolo.

I would have preferred 1000km southeast of Sassuolo.
