Alcohol, food and gender relations are the key barriers to social interaction between Muslim and non-Muslim Australians, a study suggests.The findings emerged from a study commissioned by the federal government to develop better community-based integration programs.
The project focused on Muslims who have experienced racism since the 2005 Cronulla riots.
To determine social barriers, researchers interviewed a group of 10 Muslims who socialise predominantly with other Muslims. They also spoke to 10 non-Muslims from the Cronulla area who did not mix with Muslims.
Among the non-Muslims, it was not well-known that drinking alcohol is forbidden under Islam.
The concept of halal - denoting what is permissible under Islam - was also little understood.
Female Muslim interviewees said they could not understand how drinking by non-Muslims can be seen as responsible behaviour.
Their male counterparts said they would refuse invitations to events where alcohol was consumed to shield the women from it...

Recipe for perpetual war.
1. devise a system (sharia) that includes rules which forbid - as evil or immoral or unclean - things that practically every other known human culture on earth, past and present, permits or has permitted in some form or another - e.g. alcohol, pet dogs, public social interaction between unrelated men and women, women with hair/ faces/ arms/ legs/ etc, uncovered, all forms of music both sacred and profane vocal and instrumental, nearly all forms of art that humans have ever enjoyed (from the caves of Altamira to the paintings of Rembrandt to Japanese woodcuts), and sculpture.
Thus, devout followers of the cult are required to socially separate themselves from everyone else on the planet (and in so doing, they are also taught that they are Superior to everyone else, the appointed Lords and Masters).
2. Not only are followers of the cult required to deny themselves pleasures and practices (such as the keeping of dogs for household pets ) that the rest of the human race regard as perfectly normal and acceptable; they are required to demand that everyone else adopt their cultic restrictions and bow to the leaders of the cult; and if people refuse this demand, then they [the cult members] are taught that this is a casus belli.
By the nature of their cult, practising Muslims coming into contact with kafir are surrounded, every day, by things that their cult teaches them they must Forbid, that are Oppressing them and Insulting Islam; things that are Cause For War.
Sharia means that, like bikie gang members, devout Muslims will never lack an excuse for a fight.

The real fact of the matter is Muslims create the greatest barrier to integration because they in the main do not really want to integrate. As for the Cronulla riots why not get an answer on the real issue.
"Since the day on which lifeguards were assaulted by Islamic Brown Shirts on Cronulla beach leading to a riot promulgated after years of harassment of beach goers by Muslim youths and instigated largely by those same youths.”, have these Islamic thugs tried to integrate?

The Australians need to understand and reject Islam. I have set my eyes on Australia as a place for better living. The next elections in Holland will influence my choice greatly.
Either Wilders is recognised for the man he really is or the dhimmitude will have another victory. In the second case I am obviously no longer at home in a society which opposes everything I believe in. I have travelled and worked in Australia for extended periods and believe they have the guts and the humanity to preserve their own excellent culture. I want to be a part of that.
With great interest I am following the news from down under. Of course, I was very dissapointed by the outcome of the latest elections where a leftist prime minister got into power. Like all other leftist regimes a country can lose its prosperity, its culture and its identity. I have experienced this first hand in the Netherlands.
So, I beg of you, my dear Ozzies: Wake up!

Harlekein I encourage you in the same way I encourage anyone who wants to move here. Understand what Australia is, good and bad, before coming and don't expect to change it after you get here.
I am fortunate to live in the most politically incorrect country in the world, which we will do our best to maintain, including rejecting any push by foreignors to follow their thinking over our own.

Harlekein, about ten years ago I was at a party and met two Dutch girls (I am Australian.) After a bit of chat I asked them why they in Holland were so keen on letting so many Muslims go and live in their country. Couldn't they see the danger? Why did European countries feel they had no right to keep their identities as they were, European? The girls were very offended, gave me hostile looks (I can't remember what they said) and moved away. Later a man at the party said the girls had talked about my "racism."
I have a Dutch friend who has lived here a long time, and he is still proud of Dutch "tolerance." But he is starting to wake up, mainly due to what I have told him about HIS country.
Australia doesn't have the same problems as Europe - yet. Australians are generally a bit smug: they think everyone who comes here will end up "Aussie" because we are such terrific people to emulate. Mostly they don't get it.
See you when you get here. The Western world is waking up too, too slowly, but we might be one of the last places to totally succumb.

PG, here in NZ the sleep continues too. However, if I talk to people not about 'muslims' but about islamist theocrats, the threat of sharia law and its problems with gay rights and women's rights, at least people don't automatically label me as 'racist', as they can see I'm coming from a liberal perspective. They still come out with the crap about christianity and the crusades of course...
I guess we have to work step by step. If at first one can only mention 'islamists' and 'theocratic radicals' to get people to think about the issue at all, then so be it. Once they're beginning to wake up they might finally understand that they need to think about muslims in general (at least in demographic terms).

Like it's just a matter of alchohol and the lack of gender apartheid. It's the fact that they are taught that kafirs are unclean and that they aren't to befriend us. It's a core tenet of Islam. Islam divides the world into Muslims/infidel apes and pigs to be raped, enslaved, and murdered and men/filthy, retarded sex slaves. There's no reconciling that. Muslims can never integrate. That's why they've gotta go. If they accept us as humans their societies can't survive because they would have nobody to parasitize, murder, loot, rape (except their own women and including their daughters and sisters), torture, or enslave and then they would have to engage in haram honest, hard work. Per that sick ideology, if we get to be humans then they don't get to be Muslims.
Even if they did get past that, they could still never engage in kafir activites, like FUN, for instance, and including consentual and non-incestuous Sharia slave sex with ridiculous restrictions on when and how and always preceded with that creepy-ass prayer, music, movies, literature, art, dog parks, real food, photography, or my favorite pasttime, open debate of ideas and politics.
