Why do I get the impression that (a) Muslims started this crap by making up rumours and then they spread them because (b) nobody in Pakistan has a job and that (c) they showed up, not in vans like the story says, but like clowns in VW Bugs all piles on top of each other, most likely as an excuse to engage in homoerotic activity?

have you read Bat Yeor's books on dhimmitude?

One of the things it makes clear, from the many historical sources, is that if even one dhimmi 'broke' (or was merely said, or believed, by Muslims, to have broken) the dhimma - that is, infringing any one of the multiple draconian restrictions that were elaborated by Muslim jurists to make the dhimmis' lives a misery - then, very often their whole community was attacked in force by the Muslims. 'Collective punishment' of the dhimmis - very often, perhaps even usually on the basis of completely false accusations - was frequent in the Islamosphere. The kangaroo court and the lynch mob are par for the course.

The archetypal 'dhimma' document, the legendary 'Pact of Omar', concludes (in the 'voice' of the grovelling dhimmi):

"If we break any of these promises that we set for your benefit against ourselves,

"then our Dhimmah (promise of protection) is broken

" and you are allowed to do with us what you are allowed of people of defiance and rebellion.'''

This means that if the dhimma is broken - or is perceived by the Muslims, or claimed by the Muslims to have been broken - the Jihad resumes in full force against the dhimmi community: open warfare, mass murder, rape and enslavement and robbery.

This episode in Pakistan is completely typical.

Master Kamal, a teacher at a Christian elementary school, said that Sandal found the pages among rubbish in the street. After picking them up she gave them to a Muslim woman who then accused her of blasphemy.

Next time, get wise and just ignore it. Qur'ans deserve that, and worse.

Lahore (AsiaNews) – The Justice and Peace Commission of Pakistan's Bishops' Conference said that a Christian family from Wah Cantt (near Islamabad) was forced to move to an undisclosed location in the country. Their daughter Safad received death threats for allegedly desecrating the Qu'ran. The Tasneem Dean family was told of "terrible consequences" on the part of Wah Cantt Muslims.

Last July, a Muslim woman accused 16-year-old Safad Tasneem Dean of throwing a copy of the Qu'ran into a trash bin. An enraged group of Muslims gathered with the intention of burning the girl's house. They tried to kill her but a group of local elders was able to save her by getting the police to arrest her.

After heated discussions between local Christians and Muslims it was decided that the girl's father would take her place in prison, but he, too, was released soon after.

Even though no evidence was presented concerning the alleged blasphemy, Safad's family was forced to move to an undisclosed location.

Adopted in 1986, Pakistan's Blasphemy law imposes life imprisonment on anyone insulting the Qu'ran and the death penalty on anyone defiling the name of Mohammed.

Minority and human rights activists have repeatedly called for the law's repeal. Very often it is used to settle matters between private individuals.

So far tens of Christians have died because of the law. Since 1986, more than 4,000 people have been accused of blasphemy. Currently, some 560 people have been charged and 30 are still waiting for a court decision. The accused have often had to move fearing for their lives and that of their families.

Lahore (AsiaNews) – Victim of a plot to seize his land, an 84-year-old Christian was accused of blasphemy and arrested in Lahore yesterday. The man, Walter Fazal Khan, is in prison although the police have not even started their investigations yet.

Police officers accepted the charge submitted by Raja Riaz, Kahn’s driver, who yesterday declared that he saw his master burning pages of the Quran. The accusation falls within the parameters of Article 295C of the Pakistani Criminal Code – the notorious “blasphemy law” – which hands down prison sentences or the death penalty to those who desecrate the Prophet or the sacred texts of Islam.

But the man’s family and civil society groups say he is the victim of a “conspiracy” by some Muslim businessmen who want to take control of Khan’s land. The “blasphemer” recently sold around 100 sq meters of land to these businessmen for 2.5 million rupees. He later put up all his land for sale for 12.4 million rupees. The previous buyers approached Khan offering 8 million rupees but Khan refused. This is why, according to Khan’s relatives, the businessmen got in touch with the driver and together they planned the blasphemy frame-up. Local imams grabbed the opportunity and from their mosques urged people to go outside the house of the “blasphemer”, where a crowd gathered and yelled out threats.

Aniqa, a Catholic lawyer from the Centre for Legal Aid Assistance in Lahore, told AsiaNews: “This is a clear attempt of land grabbing by men without scruples.” Shahbaz Bhatti, chairman of the All Pakistan Minorities Alliance (APMA) added: “Why should an old Christian man keep the Quran at home and then burn it in front of his Muslim driver?” He said this was the “umpteenth example of the wrong use of a law that should be completely removed from our criminal code because it is always used to strike innocent minorities.

My thesis is that Muslims expand their power using methods similar to the KKK. The lower non-Muslim classes are kept in fear by the threat of trumped up blasphemy charges. Crimes are exploited to shed blame on non-Muslims and executions of the criminals are used to maintain fear amongst the non-Muslims populations. Beheadings function in a similar manner to lynching. Rallies with hate/death threats and weapons function similarly to cross burnings.

Consider the rhetoric of the KKK and you'll see lots of similarities to Islamism. Non-Muslims are welcome if they don't get uppity. Ideally they want a pure Muslim state and become enraged by those who oppose their utopian dream.

Similarly with poor white racists who tend to foster a brooding bitterness directed towards blacks/jews, minority Muslims create fantastical conspiracy theories in order to whitewash their own internal shame at not being at the top of the social order.

Racists and Muslims believe that they 1. Are central in the human community and all others are secondary. 2. They are at the top since they are superiour. 3. Are deserving to be at the top of the social order. Central/Superiour and deserving is also the mindset of male spousal abusers, but the model also works for racists supremacists of all sorts. It explains the outrageous behaviour of Muslims who on one hand claim to be a religion of peace and on the other demonstrate a level of brutality and indifference to non-Muslim suffer.

Islam is toxic.

Blasphemy charges are made against Christians just to strike at them. Only a few days ego the Gulshers had a public row with some Muslims.

Well, this pretty much says it all. If you are non-Muslim in a Muslim-majority country, you are always at risk.

If you have any sort of disagreement with your Muslim neighbors, if you have any land that Muslims might want, if you have a moderately decent home, or an even vaguely profitable business, or--God help you--a daughter that a local Muslim wishes to "marry"--then the simplest thing is to accuse you of "blasphemy".

There are so many stories of Infidels "desecrating Qu'rans" that it seems that more of those books must be purchased by non-Muslims than by the faithful--and all so they can tear them up and toss them out into the street right in front of their devout Muslim neighbors--or else, throw them in the trash, burn them, use them to wrap falafels in, or when the toilet paper runs out.

When Muslims talk about the "tolerance" of Islamic societies, you must keep awful stories like this in mind. This is what it has been like--for almost *fourteen centuries*--for Christians, and Jews, and Hindus, and other non-Muslims in Muslim societies, except for brief periods where they might have come under the temporary protection of this or that ruler. It has been like this or worse--full pogroms where Infidels are harrassed, driven out, forced to convert or simply slaughtered.
