Common sense. "Immigration: Urso, Let's Favour Flows From Balkans," from ANSAmed, October 13 (thanks to Insubria):
ROME, OCTOBER 13 - "To favour the flow of immigration from the Eastern Mediterranean even if they are Muslims: as they are coming from a more European context than those from the Southern Mediterranean who are less willing to integrate into our country". This is what Adolfo Urso, secretary general of the Fondazione Farefuturo and undersecretary for Economic Development thinks, said this morning at a convention of the integration of women in the Mediterranean area. Among the elements highlighted by the undersecretary for Economic Development as starting-points for a draft proposal in the political-legislative area were favouring the reuniting of families with wives and children and the promotion of religious education. "It is better to introduce the teaching of the Koran in public schools than to found Koran schools. It is necessary to not give in to the veil or other cultural elements which keep immigrants from integrating." (ANSAmed).

They don't have to give in to jack. Italy doesn't recognize Islam as a religion, a lesson we could learn from. These morons are estraparlamentari. The Italians elected Berlusconi for the express purpose of keepin Islam out and they'll do it again. They're insanely politically correct in Italy. They'll call them 'parasites' and 'inbred, baby-raping, Nazi terrorists' in their MSM. Hating Muslims is foundational to Italy. It's in La Commedia, Italy's Koran, Canto XXVIII. Perv Mo is in hell. Dante was a prophet when he called Mohammed(ans) (a) sower(s) of dicord. Italy don't play.

SECRET PLOT TO LET 50MILLION AFRICAN WORKERS INTO EU October 12, 2008
Saturday October 11,2008
By Nick Fagge in MaliMORE than 50 million African workers are to be invited to Europe in a far-reaching secretive migration deal, the Daily Express can reveal today.
A controversial taxpayer-funded “job centre” opened in Mali this week is just the first step towards promoting “free movement of people in Africa and the EU”.
Brussels economists claim Britain and other EU states will “need” 56 million immigrant workers between them by 2050 to make up for the “demographic decline” due to falling birth rates and rising death rates across Europe.
The report, by the EU statistical agency Eurostat, warns that vast numbers of migrants could be needed to meet the shortfall in two years if Europe is to have a hope of funding the pension and health needs of its growing elderly population.
It states: “Countries with low fertility rates could require a significant number of immigrants over the coming decades if they want to maintain the existing number of people of working age.
“Having sufficient people of working age is vital for the economy and for tax revenue.”
The report, by French MEP Francoise Castex, calls for immigrants to be given legal rights and access to social welfare provision such as benefits.
Ms Castex said: “It is urgent that member states have a calm approach to immigration. To say ‘yes’, we need immigration … it is not a new development, we must accept it.”
The proposals include the creation of a “blue card” system, based on the American green card, that provides full working and welfare rights.
Blue card holders would be entitled to move freely across the EU, setting up home in any of the 27 member states.
Last night Sir Andrew Green, of MigrationWatchUK said: “England, with Holland, is already the most crowded country in Europe.
“As it is, we have to build the equivalent of seven cities the size of Birmingham over 25 years for the immigrants the Government already expects.
“Yet again the ‘one-size-fits-all’ policy of the EU produces absurd results. These would be ridiculous proposals if they were applied to the Britain.
“The Government must ensure that these work permits are not valid for the UK.
“Higher levels of immigration are the last thing we need with a recession approaching.”
And Shadow Home Secretary Dominic Grieve said: “When ministers are talking tough about efforts to control immigration, they need to provide a clear explanation that national policy is not being undermined through the backdoor in Brussels.”
The UK Independence Party leader Nigel Farage attacked the move as “an outrage”. He said: “The sooner Britain gets back control of immigration policy, the better.”
The proposals – part of the Africa-EU Partnership signed in Portugal last December – also warns of the negative effects of mass immigration and calls for “better integration of African migrants”.
It calls too for a compassionate approach to the eight million illegal immigrants already living in the EU.
It states: “Irregular migrants must not be treated like criminals. Many risk their lives seeking freedom or the means
of subsistence in Europe. As long as the EU has a higher standard of living than those countries to its south and east, the temptation to come will exist – especially if there are jobs to be had.”The declaration calls on the EU to assist African governments to set up migration information centres “to better manage labour mobility between Africa and the EU”.
The first was the job centre opened in Bamako, capital of Mali, on Monday. Other centres are expected to open soon in other west African states and later in north Africa.
Yesterday the Daily Express revealed that, in an apparent contradiction of immigration policy, thousands of migrants – like Kanoute Tieny from Mali – are being given up to £5,500 in grants by the EU to return home to Africa.
French president Nicolas Sarkozy wants to implement an EU-wide immigration plan by the end of the year when he stands down as head of the Council of the European Union.
This body implements policy proposed by the European Commission and discussed by the European Parliament.
French immigration minister Brice Hortefeux has represented all the 27 EU states, including Britain, in a succession of whirlwind tours through west Africa to help create a strategy.
Last night the Home Office said the UK had nothing to do with this EU plan.
A Border Agency spokesperson said the initiative is aimed at promoting legal migration routes in the Schengen area of the EU which the UK opted out of. The area includes most but not all member states.
“We therefore retain full control of our own borders and our asylum system.”
Oh, and by the way, "Have your say" is unavailable for this story.

Berlusconi has been elected Prime Minister on multiple occasions. He's not even the new leader. He was the leader before Prodi for years, then they got rid of Prodi and brought him back for the express purpose of keeping the Muslims out and now they're demolishing mosques and the Muslims have to contract their hand- and face-mosque-foot fungus off the streets where people walk their DOGS, fool. This Pope ain't giving Islam a break either. He was Oriana Fallaci's best buddy and he knew about the Islamic threat back in the 60s when he wrote 'Without Roots.' Like I said, Islam isn't even a religion in Italy. Two countries down, x more to go. And counting.
Good for you for trying your hand at reading, DOI. Now try spelling.

I don't get the "common sense" part. Common sense would be to restrict all Muslims. Balkan Muslims aren't any less dangerous than other Muslims! What kind of "common sense" would think otherwise? (Well the all too common sense of political correctness, yeah.)

If immigrants are needed, why must they be muslims?! Are muslims the only people in the world willing to migrate? I had no idea that Italy does not recognize islam as a religion and will not allow them to build mosques to spread their venomous filth. I thought the EU set down specific mandates for all EU members regarding immigrants and their precious "human rights". If Italy is this tough on muslims, it seems like they would go places where their exploitation and victimization tactics are more profitable. Most muslims migrate to Europe for a free ride on welfare benefits and to wage jihad against their benefactors. They can fulfill their islamic duty (jihad against the unbelievers) while their enemies (the Europeans) feed and house them and their endless spawn. What irony! They must feel like they're only a step away from their mythical paradise.
I remember what Orianna Fallaci went through in the Italian courts after being sued by muslims for hate speech. The truth was too much for them and the Italian left-wing to bear; feelings were hurt and politically correct boundaries were crossed, so she had to leave her own country to avoid prison. She was dying of cancer but the alien savages forced her into exile to die in a foreign land, and for what? Because she dared to expose their barbaric culture, religion, and the hideous impact and influence they were having on her beloved country.
I also remember muslims suing to have crucifixes removed from Italian schools and hospitals because they found them offensive. I don't remember the outcome of that action but I think they lost. Apparently the rules concerning muslims and islam change every time the government changes. I hope the present rules don't change and I also hope other countries will follow suit.

Muslim immigration has been taking place in Italy for much longer than other EU nations, both because of its strategic location for North Africans and because Albanians are right across the Adriatic. They know Islam and when they think of Muslims they think of pedophilic, terminally-unemployed, dirty polygamists on welfare selling their 'Vu Cumpra?' goods on the street. They never bought that 'poor Muslims, you're so racist' crap because so many of their Muslims are white Europeans who had all the same advantages in life but rejected them out of hatred for hard work and legitimate education. They also had their insane welfare state cave before the other nations, so the delusion that Muslim immigration will sustain it can't be upheld there. Having no young workforce is infinitely preferable to having a Muslim workforce, one which wants to collect jizya out of a Koranic injuction to never do an honest day's work (living one's entire life as a parasite is sunna, you see) and a rejection of the Judeo-Christian work ethic, and now Muslims in Europe are refusing to get legitimate educations and demand Islamic schools so that they can never earn the equivalent of a Guatemalan first-grade education (science and math are haram, you see) just like their 3rd-World counterparts. They don't pander to Islam. They knew the perils of the multicultural society long before the rest of Europe. Italy don't play.
Those Muslims who sued Fallaci did so on behalf of other nations because European countries don't yet have the equivalent of Rachel's Law, but Geert Wilders' dealings with the Jordanians will likely change that if only to spare taxpayers the legal fees associated with being tried in kangaroo courts.
The Muslims' vampiric hatred of crosses only intensified Itay's hatred for Islam and proved to them its basis in evil. Italy is the heart of Christianity. They know the bullshit Muslims pulled in Jerusalam and Kashmir whereby they made up insane stories with no basis and then up and declared them to be among "Islam's holiest sites." They know that every terror organization/Muslim wants to conquer Rome and they won't let it happen to them.

"It is better to introduce the teaching of the Koran in public schools than to found Koran schools."
Sure. In the same way that it's better to introduce the teaching of Mein Kampf in public schools than to found Nazi schools.

Instead of taking in hundreds of thousands of Muslims, Europeans would be far better off to
1. stop letting in ANY Muslims, at all and
2. instead, offer asylum to ALL the Assyrian Christians from Syria and Mesopotamia/ Iraq, and to the Coptic Christians of Egypt - both of whom are in a situation that appears to be teetering on the edge of a full-scale jihad genocide like that inflicted on the Armenian Christians in 1894-95 and in 1915-1916.
(It would have to be made plain, at the same time, that any Muslims from those regions, found to have posed as Christians in order to gain entry, would be ruthlessly booted out as soon as their imposture was detected. There are enough Assyrian and Coptic Christians already living in the West, that they could assist the Infidel authorities in checking people's bona fides).
Just think: hundreds of thousands of totally grateful, intelligent, lovely people, overjoyed to be out of the Predator Pit, and all ready to fit in, roll up their sleeves, work hard, revivify moribund churches, and tip the demographic balance in a healthy direction (somehow I suspect that Copts and Assyrians just rescued from the jaws of jihad, are likely to celebrate by producing large families).
The Coptic Christians in Australia are certainly celebrating the delights of freedom from dhimmitude - they are busily building churches, setting up schools (kindy to senior) with exacting educational standards, establishing monasteries and a theological college, and enriching academe - one of our major universities has just established a Coptic Studies Centre (MUCH more interesting, I'm sure, than 'Islamic Studies', especially in the area of art).
And if, after taking in Copts and Assyrians, Europe thinks it still needs more people... Well, there are plenty of devoutly Christian Africans in Nigeria and Sudan who are suffering dreadfully from sharia and jihad. There are plenty of non-Muslim Chinese and non-Muslim Indians in Malaysia, and persecuted non-Muslims in Bangladesh and Pakistan. All have more talent and will to work than those poisoned by the ideology of Islam.
Sudanese CHRISTIAN refugees from jihad genocide are thriving and multiplying in Australia, having lots of fat happy babies (and bringing them for baptism) and joining local Australian suburban churches and trying hard to fit in and contribute.
Come on Europe: no more Muslims! There are many much more deserving people, people truly in need, who will genuinely enrich your lives.

You're absoluetly right. Think of all the people from the Muslim world who have contributed something to society: Walid Phares, Brigitte Gabriel, Nonie Darwish, Ibn Warraq, Ayaan Ali Hirsi, Ali Sina, Raymond Ibrahim, Bat Ye'or, Ungharetti, Mark Gabriel, etc. Think of how small their minorities are in comparison to that of the Muslims. What are they, like less than 1%? Think of how many Muslims, how many useless, life-wasting, parasitic Muslims there are in comparison, and what have they given this world? Evolution in reverse, every human evil in proud display, lots of dead bodies, enslaved decent people, and nothing but a ridiculously huge burden on those of us who work hard, lead worthwhile lives, and raise our children to be well-adjusted, self-sufficient adults. And Europe imports Muslims and so do we. That's called suicide. The West needs to get over its self-loathing, realize what makes us great, and learn to respect it - to respect ourselves - above all else.

Dumbledorsarmy and jdamn, I know what you are saying but don't get carried away! I know hard-working Sudanese Muslims and lazy Sudanese Christians too. It is not JUST the religion, and anyway I know Sudanese Christians who have left the church pretty smartly and taken on unpleasant, American-style anti-white personas.
Of course bring in more Christians and fewer (if any) Muslims. But I think underneath it all we are being conned into accepting an unnecessarily huge immigration intake. Lacking skills in Australia? Too bad: let's cope and work it out slowly. Refugees? Let's help them in other countries close to theirs until they can return. Soon enough we will be struggling to look after ourselves and we will have to let go of the idea that we can save the world.
