Of course there should be no "backlash." No innocent people should be victimized for the deeds of someone else, and any such act is reprehensible. There are two questions here:

1) Is Holder aware of, or even interested in, the fact that Islamic supremacist pressure groups with ties to Hamas and the Muslim Brotherhood, like the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), exaggerate "backlash" fears beyond all proportion in order to deflect attention away from both the jihad attack at hand and the failure of Islamic groups in America to do anything to prevent such attacks?

2) Will Holder issue a similar warning to the Muslim community in the U.S., calling on them to clean up their act and fight against jihad terror activity sincerely, in both word and deed?

I expect that the answer to both is no.

"Breathing fire at the hypocrites," by Michael Goodwin in the New York Post, May 1:

It is a sad sight to watch a man grapple with a world that fails to meet his expectations. Unless that man is Eric Holder. Then it is simply infuriating.

The attorney general, warped by his own prejudice, is confused because his fellow citizens are better people than he imagines.

Holder sees white bigots around every corner, and can’t handle the truth that very few Americans actually hate Muslims. So, like Elmer Fudd hunting “wascally wabbits,” Holder’s shots usually backfire.

His Monday speech to the Anti-Defamation League was a classic case of twisted thinking. With his FBI fumbling a chance to stop the Boston bombers, he bizarrely stressed his determination to punish anyone who discriminates against Muslims.

Of course, he didn’t admit that the bombers were Islamists. That would violate the Obama administration’s omerta on linking Islam to terrorism.

But the “see no evil” approach creates a dilemma. How do you warn against vigilante attacks on Muslims without admitting that Muslims did the bombing?

By being disingenuous, as Holder was, saying: “I also want to make clear that — just as we will pursue relentlessly anyone who would target our people or attempt to terrorize our cities — the Justice Department is firmly committed to protecting innocent people against misguided acts of retaliation.”

There haven’t been any attacks reported, nor have there been many since 9/11. Indeed, Holder, trying to make it sound like an avalanche, said Justice investigated “more than 800 incidents involving threats, assaults and acts of vandalism and violence targeting Muslims, Arabs, Sikhs, South Asians and others.”

Think about that — 800 investigations in nearly 12 years, or about 70 a year, in a country of 320 million people. Notice he didn’t say how many led to findings of guilt.

Inadvertently, Holder further undermined his argument with another number. He said there were “more than 1,000 documented incidents” of anti-Semitism in 2011 alone.

Clearly, Jews, not Muslims, bear a greater burden of religious bigotry. But Jews don’t bomb marathons, so who is worried about protecting them? Not Eric Holder.

Victimhood is big business: insofar as they can claim protected victim status for Muslims, Islamic supremacists can deflect unwanted scrutiny and any critical examination of how jihadists use Islamic texts and teachings to justify violence and supremacism.

That's most likely why CAIR and others have not hesitated to stoop even to fabricating "hate crimes." They want and need hate crimes against Muslims, because they can use them for political points and as weapons to intimidate people into remaining silent about the jihad threat.

"Austria: Muslims Set Fire to Own Fast-Food Business and Leave 'Racist' Graffiti to Mislead Investigators," by Cheradenine Zakalwe for Islam Versus Europe, February 24 (thanks to The Religion of Peace):

A couple of weeks ago a pizzeria owned by Albanian Muslims in Wörgl, Austria, was badly burned. A nearby building owned by a Turkish association was also set on fire. 'Racist' graffiti in Turkish was left on the scene, complete with swastika symbols. This immediately provoked demonstrations from Turks and Greens protesting against "right-wingers" and "racists". One placard read :
Racism isn't an opinion! Racism is a crime

It has now emerged, though, the both fires were set by the Muslims themselves. They were in dire financial circumstances and wanted the insurance payment. The 'racist' graffiti was simply left to mislead the investigators. Fortunately, two of the Muslim perps were injured in their own attack when the fire they were setting produced an explosion.

After the arson attack on a pizzeria and the premises of an association in Wörgl, the investigators have made public new details. One of the perpetrators has confessed, another is in custody. The anti-foreigner words are said to have been a diversionary tactic.

According to police, financial problems were the motive for the attack. As reported, two brothers were injured in front of the premises during the attack - an 18-year-old and 31-year-old Albanian...

The SPLC, the well-heeled propaganda machine that smears conservatives for cash, is an integral part of the ongoing Leftist effort to demonize and destroy legitimate conservative voices -- like our American Freedom Defense Initiative, which they also classify as a "hate group" -- by lumping them in with the likes of the KKK. The SPLC turns a blind eye to the real hate that comes from the Left and Islamic supremacists, and offers with its hate group listings not only an incitement to violence, but a handy tool that lazy Leftist mainstream media journalists use to try to intimidate people away from supporting our message of human rights. The SPLC richly deserves its place on AFDI's Threats to Freedom Index.

And here are the consequences of the SPLC's hateful propaganda: "Floyd Lee Corkins pleads guilty in Family Research Council shooting," from CBS News, February 6 (thanks to Anne Crockett):

(CBS/AP) WASHINGTON - A Virginia man pleaded guilty Wednesday to wounding a security guard at the Washington headquarters of a conservative Christian lobbying group, a shooting that made headlines in part because the man was carrying 15 Chick-fil-A sandwiches.

Floyd Corkins II, 28, acknowledged in a plea agreement that he intended to kill as many people as possible during the shooting at the Family Research Council in August 2012. He also planned to target other organizations that oppose gay marriage if he wasn't stopped.

Corkins intended to smear the sandwiches in the faces of his victims to make a statement about gay rights opponents, he acknowledged during a hearing Wednesday. Chick-fil-A was making headlines at the time because of its president's stated opposition to gay marriage.

According to the plea agreement, Corkins told FBI agents who interviewed him after the shooting that he wanted to use the sandwiches to "make a statement against the people who work in that building ... and with their stance against gay rights and Chick-fil-A."

Prosecutors said Wednesday that Corkins was allowed to enter the downtown Washington headquarters of the Family Research Council on Aug. 15 after he said he was interviewing for an internship. After approaching a security guard and being asked for identification, he took a pistol from a backpack he was carrying. He fired three shots, and one of them struck security guard Leonardo Johnson in the arm. But Johnson managed to wrestle away the gun, and police arrested Corkins.

Corkins acknowledged as part of his plea agreement that he had taken a number of steps to plan the shooting. He bought the pistol the week before and practiced firing it. He also visited the headquarters of the Family Research Council, and he purchased the Chick-fil-A chicken sandwiches the day before the shooting. The plea agreement said Corkins was filmed picking out the gun by a French television crew doing a piece on the ease with which firearms can be purchased in the United States.

Corkins also acknowledged that he considered making a bomb but didn't have the patience to do it. In his pants pocket, police found a handwritten list of groups that also oppose gay marriage. Lawyers did not include the list of organizations in the plea agreement.

Corkins pleaded guilty to three charges: interstate transportation of a firearm and ammunition, assault with intent to kill while armed and act of terrorism while armed, a charge based on the shooting being intended to intimidate anyone who is associated with or supports the Family Research Council and other organizations that oppose gay marriage.

Sentencing guidelines recommend a maximum of 10 years on the first count and up to 15 years on the two other counts. The judge in the case, Richard W. Roberts, set sentencing for April 29.

In a statement released after Corkins' plea, the head of the Family Research Council blamed the shooting in part on the Southern Poverty Law Center, which has labeled his organization a hate group.

In his plea agreement, Corkins acknowledged he identified the Council as "an anti-gay organization" by visiting Southern Poverty's website. The head of the Council, Tony Perkins, called on the group to stop labeling his organization and others hate groups because of their stance on gay issues. A spokeswoman for the Alabama-based Law Center did not immediately return a telephone message.

"War is deceit," said Muhammad. And Islamic supremacist groups in the U.S. took the message to heart. "Islamophobia" is a manipulative neologism designed to intimidate non-Muslims into thinking it is "racist" and "bigoted" to resist jihad and Islamic supremacism. As such it coincides nicely with the Left's increasingly open authoritarian impulse to shut down all dissent.

See also "Islamophobia: Thought Crime of the Totalitarian Future," which I coauthored with David Horowitz.

"Hate-Crime Stats Deflate ‘Islamophobia’ Myth," by David J. Rusin in National Review, January 11:

A detailed analysis of FBI statistics covering ten full calendar years since the 9/11 terrorist attacks reveals that, on a per capita basis, American Muslims, contrary to spin, have been subjected to hate crimes less often than other prominent minorities. From 2002 to 2011, Muslims are estimated to have suffered hate crimes at a frequency of 6.0 incidents per 100,000 per year – 10 percent lower than blacks (6.7), 48 percent lower than homosexuals and bisexuals (11.5), and 59 percent lower than Jews (14.8). Americans should keep these numbers in mind whenever Islamists attempt to silence critics by invoking Muslim victimhood.

The federal government defines a hate crime as a “criminal offense against a person or property motivated in whole or in part by an offender’s bias against a race, religion, disability, ethnic origin, or sexual orientation.” Though statutes mandating harsher punishments for hatred-inspired acts raise the specter of thought crimes, emphasize group identity over the individual, and seemingly favor certain victims over others, the FBI’s tracking of such deeds shines important light on the state of the nation. Annual reports assembled from local law-enforcement data are accessible on the website of the FBI’s Uniform Crime Reporting Program. Especially useful is Table 1 of each compilation, which summarizes the number of incidents, offenses, victims, and known offenders for hate crimes committed against members of different groups.

No class of hate crimes has seen more fluctuation than anti-Muslim ones. The norm was a few dozen incidents per year in the late 1990s, but the number jumped from 28 in 2000 to 481 in 2001, a spike attributed to post-9/11 backlash. However, it dropped to 155 in 2002 and held remarkably steady through 2006, before falling again to 115 in 2007, 105 in 2008, and 107 in 2009.

Anti-Muslim incidents rose to 160 in 2010, an increase that Islamists and their mouthpieces eagerly blamed on rampant “Islamophobia,” particularly opposition to a proposed giant mosque near Ground Zero. Based on freshly released FBI data, there was little change in 2011, with 157 incidents, 175 offenses, 185 victims, and 138 known offenders. Mark Potok of the reliably leftist Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC), which puts foes of radical Islam in the same category as Klansmen and neo-Nazis, has declared that “hate crimes against perceived Muslims . . . remained at relatively high levels” as a result of “Islam-bashing propaganda,” anti-Sharia legislation, and ongoing resistance to new mosques, relaying that “several were attacked by apparent Islamophobes.” Note the key word: “several” in a country with at least 2,106 mosques, a few million Muslims, and 300 million–plus non-Muslims.

As hinted above, the dark portrait of America as a nation of violent bigots uniquely hostile to Muslims does not withstand quantitative scrutiny. To smooth out year-to-year variations, consider the past decade (2002–11) of FBI-recorded hate crimes. There were 1,388 incidents against Muslims during this span, compared with 25,130 against blacks; 12,030 against homosexuals and bisexuals; 9,198 against Jews; and 5,057 against Hispanics. Even majority whites endured 7,185 incidents, while Christians (Protestants and Catholics combined) were targeted in 1,126 incidents. Adherents of “other religions” faced 1,335, very close to the anti-Muslim tally....

Why do Islamists obfuscate? The false picture of an epidemic of physical assaults on Muslims distracts Americans from Islamist hatred and enshrines Muslims as the country’s leading victim class, a strategy intended to intimidate citizens into remaining quiet about Islamic supremacism and lay the groundwork for granting Muslims special privileges and protections at the expense of others. In short, anti-Muslim hate crimes are a powerful Islamist weapon.

At its extreme, the desire to achieve victim status in this manner has fueled the phenomenon of fake hate crimes, through staging, blatant misrepresentation, or both. An illustrative example is the March 2012 murder of Shaima Alawadi, a hijab-wearing California woman found beaten to death at home with a note calling her a terrorist beside her body. Islamists and their credulous media allies pounced at the opportunity to condemn the supposed tidal wave of “Islamophobia,” even as marital problems emerged as a potential motive. In November, police arrested Alawadi’s husband.

There is no excuse for what Randy Linn did. He is a criminal, and he richly deserves his twenty-year prison term. This incident is being used, of course, as part of ongoing efforts to discredit the anti-jihad movement, but it no more does that than the murdering thug John Brown's massacres discredited the anti-slavery movement.

What is noteworthy here is his explanation of his motive: "Every day you turn on the TV, you see Muslims trying to kill Americans." Hamas-linked CAIR will try to use this to intimidate the mainstream media into making sure that you don't see Muslims trying to kill Americans when you turn on your TV, for such incidents will be ignored and whitewashed. Their response should be to work for Islamic reform such that the texts and teachings of Islam that motivate Muslims to kill Americans are understood in a radically different way from how all too many Muslims understand them now. To do that, however, they'd have to be what they claim to be, a "moderate" civil rights organization, rather than the Hamas-linked Muslim Brotherhood front that they really are.

"Ind. Man: I Burned Ohio Mosque To Avenge Soldiers," by John Seewer for the Associated Press, December 19:

TOLEDO, Ohio -- A former Marine from Indiana admitted Wednesday that he broke into a mosque in Ohio and set fire to a prayer rug because he wanted revenge for the killings of American troops overseas.

Randy Linn pleaded guilty to hate crime charges, saying he'd become enraged after seeing images of wounded soldiers in the news.

"Every day you turn on the TV, you see Muslims trying to kill Americans," said Linn, a truck driver from St. Joe.

When asked by a federal judge whether he thought all Muslims are terrorists, he answered: "I'd say most of them are."

A deal between prosecutors and Linn, 52, calls for him to be sentenced to 20 years next April. He pleaded guilty to intentionally damaging and destroying religious property and two gun-related charges.

U.S. District Judge Jack Zouhary told Linn that his acts were an attack on all places of religion and that the mosque was a symbol of peace.

"You are no better than the terrorists or extremists you sought to punish," Zouhary said.

Prosecutors said Linn drove about two hours from his home to suburban Toledo on Sept. 30 and broke into the mosque where he poured gasoline on the rug and lit it on fire.

He estimated that he had drunk 45 beers over several hours before he decided to drive to Ohio.

Linn had several firearms in his car and carried a gun into the mosque, which was empty at the time.

U.S. Attorney Steven Dettelbach said it was fortunate no one was there. "This is a man who had intolerance in his heart and acted with hate," he said. "We can count ourselves lucky."

Linn said he went room by room to make sure no one was in the building. "I was drinking a beer while I was doing that," he said.

A sprinkler system extinguished the blaze, leaving smoke and water damage in the prayer room of the facility, whose golden dome is a landmark along Interstate 75. No one was hurt.

Members of the Islamic center have been unable to use the building and expect repairs to be finished by the end of March.

Dr. Mahjabeen Islam, president of the Islamic Center, said its members been overwhelmed by support from the community and churches. But she was saddened by Linn's statements in court.

"It was heart-wrenching to hear him speak because the ignorance and intolerance is still palpable," she said. "This is an individual who knows nothing about Islam."...

The woman told law enforcement officers that Linn had made comments complaining about the deaths of U.S. military members in the Middle East, recent attacks on U.S. embassies and Muslims' angry reactions to an anti-Islam video posted online....

A big dent in Hamas-linked CAIR's victimhood narrative. But they will ignore it and keep claiming protected victim status, with willing help from the mainstream media. "FBI Figures: Still No ‘Wave of Islamophobia,’" Snapshots, December 11 (thanks to Pamela Geller:

Hate crimes reported to U.S. law enforcement agencies declined six percent from 2010 to 2011, according to the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s annual statistics. The 6,222 reported hate crimes were the fewest since 1994.

“Nearly half of hate crimes reported in 2011 were racially motivated,” The Baltimore Sun noted (“U.S. hate crimes decline,” December 11). Religious bias accounted for nearly one-fifth of the total. “Thirteen percent of the 936 religious bias crimes were anti-Islamic, but the large majority [63.2] were anti-Semitic in nature.”

Washington Post blogger Jennifer Rubin (“Right Turn,” “Hate-crime incidents down,” December 11) asserted that the total number of religious hate crimes, for a nation of more than 310 million people, “is tiny.”

This comparatively good news contradicts claims, like those made previously by CAIR and others that following al Qaeda’s Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks, the United States has experienced a wave of “Islamophobia.” (See, for example, CAMERA’s Special Report, “The Council on American Islamic Relations: Civil Rights, or Extremism?” page 9). ...

The hate crime charges came because Jennings allegedly told Ammar, "Go back to your own country." For that, he got a hate crime charge! And Hamas-linked CAIR is still clamoring for his head. CAIR and other Muslims have not hesitated to stoop even to fabricating "hate crimes," including attacks on mosques. CAIR and other groups like it want and need hate crimes against Muslims, because they can use them for political points and as weapons to intimidate people into remaining silent about the jihad threat.

But this time it looks as if the Islamic supremacist thugs won't get their way.

"Charges dropped against banker in New York City cab fare dispute," by Michelle Conlin for Reuters, October 15:

STAMFORD, Connecticut (Reuters) - Connecticut prosecutors on Monday dropped charges against a former high-ranking Morgan Stanley banker accused of stabbing a New York City cab driver in a dispute over a fare, saying the driver had concealed evidence.

William Bryan Jennings, of Darien, Connecticut, had been charged with intimidation as a hate crime, theft and assault against cab driver Mohamed Ammar after they argued last December. Jennings had pleaded not guilty to the charges.

Ammar drove Jennings to Connecticut from a holiday party in Manhattan, but when they arrived at Jennings' driveway, a fight broke out over the fare, which the driver said had been agreed upon at $204.

In a brief hearing in Connecticut Superior Court in Stamford, about 40 miles northeast of New York, prosecutor Steven Weiss said he would not proceed with the case because Ammar had for five months concealed from authorities the pen knife allegedly used to assault him.

"I can't go forward with a case where the victim concealed evidence," Weiss said.

Neither the cab driver, Ammar, of the New York City borough of Queens, nor his attorney, Hassan Ahmad, appeared in court.

At a press conference later on Monday, Ammar said he was "really confused" by the prosecutor's decision to drop the case. "I'm very sad, very upset. This is very unfair."

Ammar's lawyer said police had failed to find the knife in a search of the cab after the incident, but his client uncovered it several weeks later beneath the carpet on the front passenger side of the car.

Yes, certainly the police would have neglected to lift up the carpet.

Ammar told prosecutors in May he had found the knife, said the lawyer, Hassan Ahmad, who conceded the delay was a mistake but said the driver was scared to reveal his discovery because he had touched the knife and left fingerprints on it.

That would not, in reality, be a problem, unless Jennings' fingerprints were not also on the knife, which at this point seems likely.

Outside the Stamford courthouse after the hearing earlier on Monday, two of Ammar's supporters said the case should have gone ahead.

"We just wanted a judge and a jury to decide. To drop the case, it sends the wrong message," said Mongi Dhaouadi, a representative of the Connecticut Council of Masajid, a Muslim community organization.

Immediately after the incident came to light, Morgan Stanley put Jennings on leave. He is no longer with the firm.

Eugene Riccio, Jennings' lawyer, said: "This is a lesson in the unfortunate circumstance when someone of prominence gets arrested and the public and press jump to the wrong conclusion."...

What is amazing about this story is the amount of official attention it got. Yesterday we saw the New York City Police Commissioner commenting on it and announcing that it was a "bias event." Today it seems otherwise, although I am sure more taxpayer money will be expended in order to find this caller and interrogate him in order to make sure he's not just trying to cover his "Islamophobic" tracks.

It is also illustrative of the Islamic supremacist avidity to find hate crimes against themselves, so as to portray themselves as victims and deflect attention away from jihad activity, that they see bacon on the ground in a park and think "Hate crime!" instead of "Some guy is feeding the animals."

Meanwhile, genuine acts of hate, such as the ongoing vandalism of our AFDI Islamorealism ads in New York, goes ignored by police officials and is celebrated by the New York Times.

"Caller: Bacon was for animals, not anti-Muslim act," from the Associated Press, August 22 (thanks to all who sent this in):

NEW YORK (AP) -- A New York City newspaper says it received an anonymous call from a person claiming to have discarded spoiled bacon in a park where Muslims had scheduled Ramadan prayers.

The caller said he was putting it out for seagulls and raccoons to eat, not as an anti-Muslim statement.

The Staten Island Advance ( http://bit.ly/ReDRtS ) said the message was left Tuesday on a reporter's voicemail.

The caller said "It was not any ... anti-Muslim act, and I did not want to offend anybody."

The NYPD is investigating the incident as a possible hate crime. It was informed of the call but declined to discuss it....

That's not surprising, because they have egg on their face. With a side of bacon.

The person who did this, if it was indeed done in order to irritate the gathering Muslims, was indeed a creep. But those who have defaced our AFDI Islamorealism ads in New York train stations are also creeps, and no one is calling that a "hate crime" or calling for an investigation. You have to be a member of a special, privileged class to warrant that kind of treatment. You can be sure that if pro-Islam ads had been defaced, the hate crimes unit would be out in force.

"NYPD Probing Hate Crime After Bacon Found At Staten Island Ramadan Site," from CBS News, August 20 (thanks to all who sent this in):

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) – Police are investigating an unusual bias crime on Staten Island.

Muslims who gathered for prayer to celebrate the end of Ramadan in a city park found bacon scattered on the ground, CBS 2’s John Slattery reported Monday.

With Ramadan ending this past weekend, Muslims celebrated the end of fasting with prayer. On Staten Island an outdoor service was held Sunday on a New Dorp football field, attracting some 1,500 Muslims.

But before most of the faithful arrived for Morning Prayer, it was discovered that someone had scattered a quantity of raw bacon on the field.

“This has been determined to be a bias event on the part of our Hate Crimes Task Force,” NYPD Commissioner Ray Kelly told reporters, including WCBS 880′s Rich Lamb.

“On a website associated with this celebration was some derogatory comments and at the site itself, three packages of raw bacon were found,” Kelly added.

Followers of Islam are forbidden to eat pork. Even before the bacon was located, someone left offensive messages on the organization’s website.

“…That he or she was going to do something with a fat pig right at the time of morning prayer,” said Hesham El-Meligy of the Islamic Civic Association of Staten Island.

“The statement came from someone who identified himself as ’007Midland,’” Kelly said on Monday afternoon. “Obviously, we’re conducting an investigation to determine who put the message on the website.”

Police computer experts are trying to locate the identity of that person, whom Muslim organizers of the prayer service said was clearly trying to taunt Muslims through intimidation, like other symbols disturbing to African-Americans or Jews.

“Whether burning crosses or swastikas, a small minority are trying to threaten other people,” said Muneer Awad, executive director of the New York chapter of the [Hamas-linked] Council on Islamic Relations.

“This isn’t what America’s about. This isn’t about intolerance, our diversity is our strength and we’re encouraging people to embrace that diversity,” Awad told 1010 WINS.

Clearly what was done was offensive, someone hoping to incite people about to engage in prayer.

Because the offensive meat was found early, organizers said the prayer service was shifted to another area of the park. So, most of those present didn’t know of the problem until the service was over.

Once again actual hate crime statistics belie the endless hand-wringing over "Islamophobia" from Leftists and Islamic supremacists. The actual objective of the "Islamophobia" industry is to shut down all honest discussion of the jihad and Islamic supremacism, so that jihadists can continue their conquest of the West unimpeded. If the concern about "hate crimes" were genuine, we would hear far more about antisemitism from the mainstream media than we do about "Islamophobia."

Thanks to Jihad Watch reader Bill for these statistics from the Canadian government.

Will hate-filled clowns like Reza Aslan and Justin Raimondo, and a thousand Islamic supremacists who wrote me on Twitter about this killing, now apologize for trying to frame me and Pamela Geller for this murder? Let's just say I won't be holding my breath. Their Goebbels-like Big Lie and manifest dishonesty, however, is clear for all the world to see.

Be sure to register for our Jessica Mokdad Human Rights Conference on honor killings on April 29th in Dearborn, Michigan. Register here.

Pamela Geller asks trenchantly: "Where are the million hijabs against honor killings?" After all, we saw Shaima used in demonstrations against the fictional phenomenon of "Islamophobia," but no Muslims speak out against what really happened here.

"Records hint Iraqi woman’s death not a hate crime," by Kristina Davis for the San Diego Union-Tribune, April 4 (thanks to all who sent this in):

EL CAJON — Search warrant records obtained Wednesday in the beating death of an Iraqi-American woman show a family in turmoil and cast doubt on the likelihood that her slaying was a hate crime.

Shaima Alawadi, a 32-year-old mother of five, was apparently planning to divorce her husband and move to Texas when she was killed, a family member told investigators, according to the court documents.

The records obtained at El Cajon Superior Court also reveal Alawadi’s 17-year-old daughter, Fatima Alhimidi, who called 911 to report the attack, was distraught over her pending arranged marriage to a cousin.

A search of Fatima’s cellphone records shows that while she was being interviewed by investigators hours after the attack, someone sent the teen a text message that read, “The detective will find out tell them (can’t) talk,” the affidavit states.

Fatima and her mother were the only ones at their El Cajon home on Skyview Street when the attack occurred about 11 a.m. on March 21.

Alawadi’s husband, Kassim Alhimidi, had reportedly left to take the couple’s other younger children to school, although police state in the March 27 affidavit that his whereabouts had not yet been confirmed.

Fatima told El Cajon police that she heard her mother squeal, and 10 seconds later heard the sound of glass breaking, the affidavit said. She told police she thought her mother had dropped a plate. Ten minutes later, the daughter discovered her mother lying unconscious on the ground, near a computer, and called 911.

She heard her mother squeal? Before we heard that she slept through the whole thing.

A neighbor reported seeing a skinny dark-skinned male running west from the area of Alawadi’s house. He was described as being in his late teens to early 20s, 5 feet 7 inches tall, 150 pounds, wearing a dark blue or black hooded sweatshirt and carrying a brown doughnut-shaped cardboard box.

Alawadi died at a hospital three days later.

An autopsy noted the assault was “extremely violent” and showed Alawadi had at least six hits to the head, with at least four skull fractures. The injuries were possibly caused by an object similar to a tire iron, with a striking edge that is narrow and made of a hard material, according to the records.

The sheriff’s crime lab determined a threatening handwritten note found near the victim was a copy, not the original, the records state.

Authorities have not made public the contents of the note, but Fatima and other family members have told reporters that it ordered the family to go back where they came from.

Police have said that the note indicates the possibility of a hate crime but have stressed they are exploring all possibilities. The family told police a similar note was left at their home in the weeks before the attack, but the family did not keep the note or report it to police at the time.

The possibility of a hate crime has reverberated around the world, especially in the Muslim community, and prompted supporters to hold candlelight vigils and demonstrations denouncing bigotry....

Apologies awaited. Neither Pamela Geller nor I have ever condoned or advocated violence, or anything but legal action in defense of human rights. These Islamic supremacist groups and their Leftist allies are avid to destroy our reputations and find a "hate crime" they can connect us with, so as to silence the truths we tell.

During a search of the home and the couple’s vehicles in the hours after the attack, police found court paperwork to file for divorce in Alawadi’s Ford Explorer. The packet was not filled out, but a form requesting a court fee waiver was filled out in handwriting with Alawadi’s name, address and phone number....

Police also searched computers, cellphones and other devices. Among the evidence they were searching for was an earring matching a bloody one found near Alawadi. Family told investigators that she usually wore four earrings, according to the records.

Detectives were also seeking any other notes, a weapon similar to a tire iron and any forensic evidence.

Investigators also learned of a previous police contact with Fatima.

On Nov. 3, police found Fatima with a 21-year-old man after responding to a report of two people possibly having sex in a car, the documents state. Officers called her mother, who came to the location and picked up the girl. As they were driving away, Fatima said, “I love you, mom,” before jumping out of the vehicle onto Mollison Avenue at 35 mph.

She was taken to a hospital with several injuries, including a possible broken arm. She refused to talk to police at the hospital but reportedly told paramedics and hospital staff that she was being forced to marry her cousin and didn’t want to.

Rawnaq Yacub, the man in the incident, told U-T San Diego Wednesday that police interviewed him after the slaying and some of his clothes were taken from the home he shares with his family. He said he has no connection to the crime.

He described Fatima as a “best friend” and said there is no romantic relationship. He and Fatima were only talking in the car when police contacted them five months ago, he said.

Fatima, her father and a brother flew to Iraq last week for Alawadi’s funeral on Saturday and planned to stay for two weeks, a family friend said. Alawadi’s father is a Shia cleric in Iraq.

What do you bet they don't return?

Hamas-linked CAIR's Ibrahim Hooper has just emailed me to send me the link to the article below, in which we're told that New York firebomber Ray Lazier Lengend disliked Muslims and Arabs and wanted to take out as many as possible. Clearly Honest Ibe is in a celebratory mood, as he thinks he finally has his violent anti-Muslim attacker: a man whose only publicly released motive so far for disliking Muslims was that the people in mosque he attacked wouldn't let him use the bathroom, a man who is clearly unbalanced and under psychiatric observation, who also attacked a Hindu place of worship, and who had such a tendency toward violence that even his brother-in-law and his family lived in fear of him. Hooper demanded that I apologize, although I am not sure for what -- apparently for pointing out that the guy was "motivated by personal grievances" rather than by "Islamophobia."

It is obvious, however, Ray Lazier Lengend is not exactly what Hamas-linked CAIR would want in a villain. If he hated Muslims, it appears to be because his bladder was full. Nonetheless, Hooper and Co. are still popping the corks and tebowing (no, wait...) because Ray Lazier Lengend is as close as they've ever gotten to the media caricature of a violent anti-Muslim yahoo hopped up on Jihad Watch and Atlas Shrugs and putting a couple of rifles in his pickup to go out and kill him some Moozlums.

Such people have been so hard to come by in real life because we don't call for or approve of any violence against innocent people, or any acts of vigilantism against Muslims or anyone else. We are in reality working for justice, freedom of speech, freedom of conscience, and equality of rights before the law for all people -- hardly a recipe for "hate" that is likely to stoke up the thugs. Anyone who actually attacked an innocent Muslim is a criminal idiot who should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. Of course, the Left and Islamic supremacists are still trying to blame anti-jihadists for murders in Norway that were committed by another psychopath with no coherent ideology, who called for an alliance with jihadis and criticized me for eschewing violence, but there again, the facts fail them.

And when the facts fail dishonest Islamic supremacist and their Leftist toadies, they resort to their tried-and-true method: they make them up. In order to deflect attention away from jihad activity and try to portray Muslims as victims, so as to shame non-Muslims into not investigating or even being suspicious of further jihad activity, Hamas-linked CAIR and other Muslims have not hesitated to fabricate "hate crimes." Hamas-linked CAIR and other groups like it want and need hate crimes against Muslims, because they can use them for political points and as weapons to intimidate people into remaining silent about the jihad threat.

This avid search for Muslim victims has coalesced with the Islamic supremacists' anxiety to discredit me and obscure the truths I tell: they were even prepared to blame me for a murder in New Jersey that turned out to be a love triangle that the killer tried to frame as an anti-Muslim hate crime. Not only did I receive a tweet from a Muslim blaming me for the murder, but also a well-placed source told me that Hooper was “salivating and waiting to jump all over” the murder story. “They are waiting to blame you for everything.”

Anyway, my congratulations to Hooper for finally bagging the big one that he will ride for all the privileged victim status he can wring from it, even if Lengend is clearly more psychotic than "Islamophobe." Honest Ibe's gleeful email to me indicates how thrilled he is today, and so I can now bring you the most entertaining hat tip evuh: "Alleged Queens firebomber wanted to massacre Muslims in mosque, prosecutors say: Brother-in-law says he feared alleged pyro: 'He had a vendetta against us,'" by Rocco Parascandola, Matt Mcnulty, Kerry Burke and Kevin Deutsch for the New York Daily News, January 5 (thanks to Ibrahim Hooper):

THE UNHINGED Queens pyromaniac who unleashed a scary New Year’s Day firebombing spree had planned to take out “as many Muslims and Arabs as possible” by lobbing Molotov cocktails at worshipers inside a mosque, prosecutors said.

Ray Lazier Lengend, 40, allegedly told cops he had planned to inflict “as much damage as possible” by hurling all five of his firebombs from the balcony of Imam Al-Khoei Islamic Center onto the crowd below.

The hateful bomb-hurler, who is under psychiatric observation at Bellevue Hospital center, flat-out told detectives he did not like Muslims or Arabs, prosecutors said.

“This is a message to anyone who does this in the future,” said Imam Maan Al-Sahlani, leader of Imam Al-Khoei Islamic Center, where Lengend planned to inflict major casualties. “It’s a good message that justice will come for you, the police will come for you.”

The imam applauded prosecutors’ use of the hate crime statute and hoped it would deter further anti-Muslim crimes.

“Obviously there is something wrong with him,” Al-Sahlani said.

Indeed.

Lengend, an unemployed truck driver from Queens Village, will face a judge via video arraignment Thursday from his bed at Bellevue.

He faces 18 charges including arson as a hate crime and weapon possession for throwing Starbucks Frappuccino bottles filled with gasoline at four occupied Jamaica buildings — two of them places of worship.

Lengend’s brother-in-law, Bejai Rai, 73, said his Elmont, L.I., house was also firebombed because he evicted Lengend for not paying rent.

“He had a vendetta against us,” Rai told the Daily News. “He tried to kill my wife, my two sons and my sister. I’m glad they got him otherwise he’d be back to firebomb us again.” Rai said his family could not sleep until Lengend was caught.

“This is the first night we’ve been able to rest since the bombing.”

Lengend carried out his spree in a silver Buick Regal, which had been stolen from a rental car business at Kennedy Airport....

His first target was Hillside Deli on 179th St., where Lengend threw a flaming glass bottle that ignited upon hitting the floor.

He burned four other targets, including the mosque and a Hindu place of worship on 170th St., but did not inflict the massive damage he hoped for, prosecutors said.

Lengend confessed to three earlier attacks as well, sources said. He claimed ongoing beefs were his motive for all eight crimes.

In order to deflect attention away from jihad activity and try to portray Muslims as victims, so as to shame non-Muslims into not investigating or even being suspicious of further jihad activity, Hamas-linked CAIR and other Muslims have not hesitated to fabricate "hate crimes." CAIR and other groups like it want and need hate crimes against Muslims, because they can use them for political points and as weapons to intimidate people into remaining silent about the jihad threat.

Also, so avid are some Muslims to discredit me and obscure the truths I tell that they were even prepared to blame me for a murder in New Jersey that turned out to be a love triangle that the killer tried to frame as an anti-Muslim hate crime.

Impervious to shame, the Anti-Muslim Hate Crime industry keeps churning out spurious product. In this case it was a HuffPo Leftist pseudo-journalist who was trumpeting the fake hate crime: "Another Huffington Post Hate Crime Fizzles (Aisha Khan Found Safe)," by David Wood at Answering Muslims, December 22:

[...] In a recent Huffington Post article about Islamophobia and the Lowe's controversy, Daniel Tutt drew his readers' attention to two vicious hate crimes against Muslims--clear proof that Islamophobia is rampant and spreading:
In the background of this grassroots work, two tragic events have taken place, which reveal the real world "human impact" of Islamophobia. In Kansas City, a young Muslim college student, Aisha Khan has gone missing after complaining to her family of a drunken man harassing her. In Houston, Texas a Muslim man named Yaqub Bham was severely beaten in what family members are calling a hate crime. These events show the urgency of the problem at hand.

What evidence did Tutt have to support his claims? A Muslim student went missing after a drunken man harassed her. Tutt sees this as clear proof that Khan was abducted by anti-Muslim bigots (probably those who regularly visit Jihad Watch and Atlas Shrugs). And a Muslim man's family is calling an attack a "hate crime." Tutt doesn't bother questioning his assessment at all.

Now for the reality check. Aisha Khan wasn't abducted at all. ABC News reported this morning:

Aisha Khan, the 19-year-old Kansas college student missing for nearly a week has been found safe and unharmed, according to ABC News' Kansas City affiliate KMBC.

Overland Park Police Officer Brian Schnavel said that Khan was not abducted or held against her will, according to KMBC.

Schnavel said no criminal act occurred.

Will Tutt apologize for falsely accusing Americans of a hate crime against a Muslim girl? We can only hope.

Hope all you like, David, but "journalists" like Tutt have no sense of accountability or responsibility. They behave this way all the time, and never backtrack or apologize.

As for Tutt's other example of Islamophobia, the evidence isn't in yet. However, based on the reports so far, the man who committed the attack seems to be insane....

Read it all.

Editor: So, are you still a journalist or a novelist?
Tom Friend: Same thing out here....
Editor: Make something out of it. And if you can't do that, sir, then make it up! -- From the cinematic classic Masked and Anonymous

In reality, hate crimes against Muslims are infrequent:

Anti-Jewish attacks 70% of hate crimes, anti-Muslim attacks 9% of hate crimes -- Senate to hold hearings on "anti-Muslim bigotry"

Just-released New York 2009 report: Hate crimes against Jews: 251. Hate crimes against Muslims: 11.

Backlash! Anti-Muslim hate crimes only eight percent of hate crimes, far less than those against Jews

And so in order to deflect attention away from jihad activity and try to portray Muslims as victims, so as to shame non-Muslims into not investigating or even being suspicious of further jihad activity, Islamic supremacist groups have resorted to making it up. Hamas-linked CAIR and other Muslims have not hesitated to fabricate "hate crimes." CAIR and other groups like it want and need hate crimes against Muslims, because they can use them for political points and as weapons to intimidate people into remaining silent about the jihad threat.

And so if they can't find enough real stories to fill out this new website, they can always call on a few novelists.

"Website aims to show post-9/11 discrimination against Muslims, Sikhs," from CNN, September 5 (thanks to Ab):

(CNN) - Showcasing alleged hate crimes, physical threats and profiling, a diverse group of ethnic organizations has coalesced to bring attention to what they call discrimination against Arabs, Muslims, Sikhs and others in the wake of the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks.

The project, titled "Unheard Voices of 9/11," officially launched online Friday with a call for people to share their experiences about being discriminated, targeted and demoralized because of their spiritual and cultural beliefs. [...]

Some memories posted on unheardvoicesof911.org are from the days immediately after the attacks. Within six days of the attacks, the FBI reported that it initiated 40 hate crime investigations into alleged murders, attacks and arson directed at Americans who are Muslims, South Asians and Arabs. [...]

Rabia Sajid described a man pulling up in a car in New York and yelling, "Go back to your country, otherwise I'm going to kill you." She said the pastor of a church where she was being tutored, and later police, suggested the best thing to do was not wear her Muslim headscarf so she wouldn't be targeted - something her parents likewise promoted, for her safety.

The New York resident, who is affiliated with the South Asian Youth Action group, said one of her biggest regrets is that she and others took that advice - not wearing clothing that was part of her Muslim heritage, for fear of being discriminated against.

"We didn't face the problem, but we were running away from it by trying to change our identity and who we are," Sajid said at an August hearing in New York City, portions of which are now on the "Unheard Voices" website. "We don't know how to face the problem ... I don't know what we can do."

There have been several high-profile cases of alleged hate crimes and cases in which Muslims and Sikhs faced opposition to projects due to their religion and heritage.

One that received significant international attention was Park 51, an Islamic community center proposed for two blocks from ground zero in Lower Manhattan. Many city residents opposed the effort, characterizing the location of the center - which would mostly house cultural, social and recreational programs, as well as a prayer space - as inappropriate given lingering feelings about Muslim militants' role in the 9/11 attacks. [...]

Whatever CNN says, opposing the Islamic supremacist victory mosque at Ground Zero is not a hate crime.

Anoop Prasad, a northern California resident who works for the Asian Law Caucus, said he's known many people who have been visited in recent years by FBI agents, claiming that such treatment sows widespread distrust against authorities among Muslims and others.

"In my community, people are very afraid - that's the reality," he said.

You'd think non-Muslims would be afraid. There was Naser Abdo, the would-be second Fort Hood jihad mass murderer; and Khalid Aldawsari, the would-be jihad mass murderer in Lubbock, Texas; and Muhammad Hussain, the would-be jihad bomber in Baltimore; and Mohamed Mohamud, the would-be jihad bomber in Portland; and Nidal Hasan, the successful Fort Hood jihad mass-murderer; and Faisal Shahzad, the would-be Times Square jihad mass-murderer; and Abdulhakim Mujahid Muhammad, the Arkansas military recruiting station jihad murderer; Naveed Haq, the jihad mass murderer at the Jewish Community Center in Seattle; Mohammed Reza Taheri-Azar, the would-be jihad mass murderer in Chapel Hill, North Carolina; and Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab, the would-be Christmas airplane jihad bomber; or so many other jihad murderers and would-be murderers in America. Because of these Muslims and others like them, many non-Muslims are very afraid -- that's the reality.

Jawad Rasul.jpg

A few days ago I received the Tweet above from a certain Jawad Rasul. It said:

Thank You @pamelageller and @jihadwatchRS, If you have any humanity, you might ponder over this! nyp.st/phBJuX via @newyorkpost

I had no idea what the heck he was talking about. The link went to a story about a murder in New Jersey. It all comes clear here: "Police: Accused man claimed bias in wife's killing," from the Associated Press, August 19 (thanks to all who sent this in):

BOONTON, N.J. – A Pakistani-American man whose wife was gunned down while they and their son walked along a quiet suburban street plotted the killing with another woman and told police his family had been attacked by a group of men who called them terrorists, authorities said Friday.

Kashif Parvaiz, 26, suffered non-life-threatening wounds in the shooting that killed his 27-year-old wife, Nazish Noorani. They were walking with their 3-year-old son to a relative's house in Boonton when shots rang out Tuesday night. The boy was unharmed.

Parvaiz and 26-year-old Antionette Stephen, of Billerica, Mass., both face charges of murder, conspiracy and weapons offenses. He also faces child-endangerment charges. [...]

According to Morris County Prosecutor Robert Bianchi, Parvaiz's accounts of the attack were inconsistent and immediately raised suspicions.

Parvaiz had told investigators the couple was attacked by a different combination of black and white males who shouted ethnic slurs, authorities said. In his initial story, the group shouted something about the family being "terrorists," authorities said.

Bianchi said investigators were deeply concerned when Parvaiz suggested it was a bias crime, but within hours "it was obvious to investigators that this was sadly the alleged handy work [sic] of the victim's husband who allegedly did the unthinkable and plotted to murder his wife."...

Islamic supremacists never miss a chance to position Muslims as victims so as to deflect attention away from jihad terror and try to place Islam and the Muslim community beyond reasonable scrutiny. And so even as Kashif Pervaiz was starting to equivocate and spin ever-taller tales, and even though this murder has nothing to do with Islam or jihad, the blame game began. Not only did I receive Jawad Rasul's Tweet, but also a well-placed source told me that Ibrahim Hooper, Honest Ibe himself, of Hamas-linked CAIR was “salivating and waiting to jump all over” the Noorani murder story. “They are waiting to blame you for everything.”

I wasn’t anywhere near Boonton, New Jersey last Tuesday, so why would Rasul and CAIR want to blame me for this love triangle murder? Because in CAIR’s world, as I noted here, my work exposing the activities of Islamic jihadists and the ways in which they use Islamic texts and teachings to justify violence and supremacism constitutes “hate” and “incitement to violence.” They think they found confirmation of this in the Breivik murders. Another problem with this idea is that Breivik, in all his citations of my work, never cites me as calling for or justifying violence in any way. He cited me, apparently, to point out a problem. The problem -- the threats to freedom posed by Islamic jihadists and supremacists -- doesn't go away because he is a murderer. If all ideas are discredited because someone acts violently because of them, then all Leftist mainstream media organs should close up shop. After all, the Left in power has murdered millions for socialism and other widely held ideas today.

But don't expect consistency of thought from those blaming the counter-jihadists for the Norway murders. Their arguments fall apart on the slightest scrutiny. Their object is not ultimately to convince anyone. Their object is to demonize us and thereby shut us up, so that the jihad can proceed unchallenged.

The Hamas-linked Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) has claimed that "anti-Muslim hate crimes" have risen sharply in the U.S. since 9/11. In fact, the rate of such crimes has actually dropped, and as this new study shows, it is quite low compared to hate crimes against other groups. CAIR exaggerates the number and seriousness of hate crimes against Muslims because it knows that victimhood is big business: insofar as it can claim protected victim status for Muslims in the U.S., it can deflect unwanted scrutiny and any critical examination of how jihadists use Islamic texts and teachings to justify violence and supremacism.

That's most likely why CAIR and others have not hesitated to stoop even to fabricating "hate crimes." They want and need hate crimes against Muslims, because they can use them for political points and as weapons to intimidate people into remaining silent about the jihad threat.

Reality, however, is a consistent witness against CAIR.

"Blacks, Jews most likely victim of US hate crimes: FBI," from AFP, November 22 (thanks to JCB):

WASHINGTON (AFP) - Blacks and Jews were the most likely victims of hate crimes driven by racial or religious intolerance in the United States last year, the FBI said Monday in an annual report.

Out of 6,604 hate crimes committed in the United States in 2009, some 4,000 were racially motivated and nearly 1,600 were driven by hatred for a particular religion, the FBI said.

Blacks made up around three-quarters of victims of the racially motivated hate crimes and Jews made up the same percentage of victims of anti-religious hate crimes, the report said.

Anti-Muslim crimes were a distant second to crimes against Jews, making up just eight percent of the hate crimes driven by religious intolerance....
