Now wait a minute. Can someone fill me in here? I know that the well-heeled can buy the exclusive use of an amusement park for a day, but isn’t it a violation of anti-discrimination laws for a park to restrict admission on the basis of religion? Will ticket buyers have to recite the Shahada, the Muslim profession of faith?
Or is this something that happens all the time, and Christian groups often buy out Six Flags for a Christian-only day? Let me know, please.
From the Islamic Circle of North America, with thanks to Ali Dashti:

UPDATE: It seems that Six Flags is closed to the public that Friday, and other Fridays in September, although Fridays in October it is open. My guess is that they rent the park out to groups after the summer season. I’ll get a question in to them and let you know. (Note to CBS and the Boston Globe: That is known as “reporting.” Or maybe I’ll just whip up a fictional memo proving my point and head straight for the bar.)
