David Medienkritik (thanks to Anthony) translates a portion of a German news article detailing how hard it is for German authorities to arrest known mujahedin — who know well how to play the system.
The worst thing that acutely dangerous Islamists in Germany have to fear is the welfare office. A high official of a state criminal investigation agency said: “Six months after Madrid, we have to wind up our surveilance and file away the results. That’s the policy set by the political level. Don’t intervene too quickly, don’t attract attention, don’t appear to be anti-foreigner. Act only when someone has put on a explosives belt and is holding the detonator. How are we supposed to observe hundreds of these dangerous persons? Where will we get the personell? And when it blows up, or when we intervene too early, then they will say that we failed. Then the Islamists will just grin and play the victim.”
