After all, the dhimmis need to learn about their masters. But of course, the only group that cares is “far-right.” From DR Nyheder:
The Education Ministry has decided to make the Koran required reading in Danish upper-secondary schools.
As of 2005, all upper-secondary school pupils will be required to learn about Islam in their religious studies lessons.
The decision has angered the far-right and anti-immigration Danish People’s Party, which said that the Education Ministry was turning Denmark into a multi-ethnic society by focussing unduly on Islam.
Clarification: I am not against studying Islam and reading the Qur’an. I’ve spent years doing these things myself. But I doubt that Denmark’s Islamic curriculum will include a critical perspective.
