I remember once many years ago, doing some research on World War II and finding a cache of English-language Nazi magazines in a library. They were full of “Hitler’s human side”-type articles. Now, of course, this sort of thing doesn’t come from those who want to destroy us, but from their willing dhimmi accomplices on our side. From Reuters, :
LONDON (Reuters) – The Sept. 11 hijackers should be understood as human beings, the makers of a controversial television drama that charts their story said on Thursday.
“The Hamburg Cell”, which follows the movements of two hijackers from the German based al Qaeda group involved in the U.S. attacks, was screened in Britain on Thursday and has attracted criticism from relatives of victims.
But the makers say the film is a carefully researched look at the lives of the hijackers.
The film shows them in tender scenes with girlfriends and family, but also depicts an all-male world of hateful dogmatism.
“Unless you know your enemies you don’t know how to deal with them, and just demonising them doesn’t help,” said David Aukin, head of drama at Mentorn Films, the production company behind the programme.
“Understanding that they are human beings gives us some sense of what we are up against.”
That’s true to an extent. After all, for years I have studied the Qur’an and other Islamic texts for just this reason. But a TV drama is another thing, and I wonder how warmly it will be received by the likes of Al-Muhajiroun, the British jihadist group that calls the 9/11 hijackers “The Magnificent 19.”
