Two stories from Radio Netherlands, with thanks to Hans de Vreij:
1)How to kill an unbeliever – Why the arrests made in the wake of the gruesome murder of filmmaker Theo van Gogh are unlikely to uncover a Muslim terrorist network. Q&A with Prof. Hans Jansen, see http://www.rnw.nl/hotspots/html/isl041105.html
2) Ominous letters – At least two more Dutch politicians have been given additional police protection in the wake of Tuesday’s murder of Dutch film maker and columnist Theo van Gogh; Dutch gov’t to announce
additional measures to combat radical Islam in the Netherlands.
And indeed, the Dutch government has declared war on Islamic extremism, which, although vague, is considerably clearer than “war on terror.” (Thanks to Filtrat for the link.)
