Ramadan is the month of jihad, and the excitement is rising among the jihadists: “The Heat Is On As Martyrs March In Baghdad, Mosul,” from the pro-jihad site Jihad Unspun, with thanks to the Constantinopolitan Irredentist:
Al-Qaida in the Land of the Two Rivers turned up the heat as the Holy month of Ramadan began, with their martyrs attacking near the Green Zone and in Mosul as their group carried out several other operations with renewed vigor.
What many do not know is that Ramadan is a month of commitment and renewal of Muslim faith and cause, whether by military or nonmilitary jihad. It is a month of martyrdom and commitment to one’s Islamic ideology. Throughout Islamic history, Ramadan has been seen as a time of victory for Muslim armies and a period when those who are martyred have a greater assurance of a place in paradise.
This is of course not lost on the Brother of Tawheed who, as expected, ramped up operations yesterday.
