D. C. Watson surveys the state of cartoon rage:
Islam is “˜peaceful”
Islam is “˜noble”
Islam is “˜tolerant”
The so called “˜tiny minority” of Muslim fanatics we keep hearing about has never actually been all that tiny, and now, the ideology that motivates them is running roughshod over Europe.
All of this “˜Islam is a religion of peace” rhetoric has been run into the ground for years, as Muslims by their own behavior have made liars out of those who have insisted on making this claim.
When will Western governments ever learn?
What else has to happen before they begin to resist Muslim bullying and intimidation?
Over the past few months, Islamic communities and their “˜leaders” in the West have clearly demonstrated how they handle their business. They have been displaying to the entire world their lack of scruples and diplomacy — and their failure to grasp what it means to live in a free society.
And yet Western governments, instead of forcing them to adhere to the law of the land, pamper them. This is terrorism at work. Political terrorism.
Muslim groups can squeal “Islamophobia” all they want about articles such as this one, but the fact remains that intolerant Muslim immigrants are the root of many of today’s current problems of civil unrest in the West.
These organizations can play the phony race card until their heart’s content, but it doesn’t matter — because it’s simply obvious that trouble is coming from the Islamic communities. The media can cover for the perpetrators by changing how they are described in news reports — for example, calling rioting Muslims “French youths” — but the facts still point directly to Muslims.

So let’s put all of this in perspective for a moment. Muslims all over the world are addressing the issue of several European countries publishing cartoons that depict their “prophet” Muhammad as a terrorist. And how are they addressing this issue? With death threats, destruction of property, and violence.

As the world watches the violence and intolerance of Muslims on nearly every continent, shouldn’t the question be raised by elected governments and the press: from where do these tendencies actually come? Perhaps the best places to find this answer are the Qur’an, the Mosques, and the Muslim streetcorner clerics — if any officials would actually look. This ridiculous campaign has spread all over the Muslim world. Like the story of a Qur’an being flushed down a toilet, these cartoons have sent them right over the falls. Is this the type of response that the citizens of Western societies should have to deal with every time these people become upset about something? Is this really the type of immigrant desired by the West?
So what do all of the infantile, badgering Islamic spokespersons who dominate the Western media’s coverage of Islam have to say about Muslims who are:
“¢ Calling for Jihad over these cartoons?
“¢ Calling for the “extermination” of those who slander Islam?
“¢ Holding signs that read “behead those who insult Islam”?
In all fairness, not every Muslim is going bonkers over this cartoon issue. Some probably couldn’t care less, while others may be concerned, but know how to keep a cool head and engage in discussion, not demolition. Mr. Kamal Nawash, of the Free Muslims Coalition, has some sound advice for all of his unglued coreligionists in an article entitled: “Muslims Against the Cartoon Jihad.”
Public opinion isn’t leaning favorably toward the Muslims who are carrying on with this ridiculous behavior either:
AOL Poll: Were newspapers in Europe right to publish cartoons of Muhammad?
Total votes: 88,312 Yes: 70% No: 30%
MSNBC Poll: Are Muslims justified in staging worldwide protests over cartoons depicting the Prophet Muhammad?
Total votes: 117,641 Yes: 15% No: 81% I don’t know: 4%
Here’s an idea: A terrible tragedy has just struck. A ferry carrying hundreds of Muslims has sunk in the Red Sea, killing the majority of those on board. Perhaps instead of telling everyone how to live, and making fools of themselves over these cartoons, these devout followers of Muhammad could concern themselves with helping the families of Muslims who were lost in this horrific accident. But I suppose they have better things to do.
