You are paying the Jizyah, along with all American taxpayers.
Like it or not, believe it or not, you have been paying the Jizyah. You’re paying Jizyah to Egypt. For you have paid a portion of the $60 billion sent to Egypt, which is not and never could be an ally of an Infidel country. The regime of Hosni Mubarak is clever enough at continuing to exploit the memory of Saint Sadat. And decades that regime has been engaged in a kind of blackmail, so that the American government keeps allowing itself to believe that it must continue to fund Egypt — or else.
Or else what? What can Egypt do that it is not already doing? It is a world center of antisemitism and anti-Americanism. The media campaigns against the United States have caused the Egyptians to be among the most hostile to Americans — the source of that $60 billion — of any people in the world. Egypt has failed as well to live up to any of the solemn promises it made to Israel in the American-brokered, or rather, Carter-and-Brzezinski-brokered, Camp David accords. Carter and Brzezinski did have plenty of help from a whole rogue’s gallery: Gary Sick, William Odom, and so on. All of them were around in those days to help hector the Israelis into giving Sadat whatever he preposterously demanded. Since when does the victor in a series of wars have to beg and sue for peace from the loser? Since Israel became the victor in question, that’s when.
Many of those who had taken Sadat’s side at Camp David, immediately after that business ended, helped to hand over Iran on a platter to the Ayatollah Khomeini. When the regime of the Shah was attacked, Carter and Brzezinski were paralyzed with indecision. When the Shah finally fell, and Khomeini figuratively did ride in triumph through Teheran, Jimmy Carter wrote a letter hailing the Ayatollah as “a fellow man of faith.” The same sorts of people, entrusted with the task of protecting us, were eager to reward Egypt for its willingness to receive the entire Sinai back from Israel for the second time, an Egypt even willing to sign a piece of paper in order to be able to do so. Thus began those annual payments of nearly $2 billion to Egypt, seen as both a keep-the-peace-bribe and as a memorial to Saint Sadat, payments that never ended, and never diminished, despite Egypt failing to honor any of its most solemn undertakings under the Camp David Accords (except that “peace” with Israel which the Americans — and many Israelis — still fail to realize is the result not of those Accords, but only of the peace-keeping deterrent power of the IDF). Egypt pocketed American aid but at the same time transformed itself into a world center of both anti-Americanism and antisemitism, and now the conduit for arms “smuggled” into Gaza. And it keeps on pocketing that aid.
And you’re the one paying that Jizyah to Egypt.
And you are helping to pay the billions that have gone to the PLO — that is, the Palestinian Authority, that is, to Arafat and his surviving henchman. Billions disappeared when Arafat died. Hundreds of millions in American money ended up in the bank accounts of Suha Arafat, with the rest no doubt split between the old apparatchiks such as Abbas. Arafat had gone through with a sham marriage for obvious political reasons, and Suha Arafat has now received her reward.
And today, two decades after the Camp David accords, we are hearing anew the nonsense about a “new Middle East,” and reviving that “two-state solution.” (Remember, it must be a “solution” because otherwise they would not call it that, would they?) And of course we are continuing to prevent the very things we should be desiring — ethnic and sectarian strife within Iraq, and then elsewhere in Dar al-Islam (in Bahrain, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Lebanon, Pakistan, even Yemen between Sunnis and Shi’a; elsewhere between non-Arab Muslims, inspired by a free Kurdistan, now seeing clearly, for the first time, how Islam has been a vehicle for Arab supremacism). Instead, we are continuing to pay the Jizyah, to this one and to that one. The incomprehension is near-total.
For you are also paying a Jizyah to Jordan. Once upon a time American taxpayers, through the CIA, paid for the visits to King Hussein’s assorted Western hotel suites of assorted very expensive call girls (but then they extended that courtesy to so many others, such as Sukarno — or was it Suharto?). Now Jordan is given even more, and granted most-favored-nation status. This has resulted in the horrific conditions of quasi-slave-labor in Arab-owned textile factories, where non-Arab workers from Asia are lured, exploited, and often thrown out after a year or several without any pay. That’s Jordan, to which you have been paying Jizyah. Did I forget to say that in opinion polls, Jordanians more than any other people on earth hate the Americans?
And you are paying for those billions in debt-forgiven Pakistan, meretricious Pakistan, supporter of the Taliban in Afghanistan, supporter of Muslim terrorists in Kashmir and all over India. You are paying for the economic and military aid that Pakistan has been receiving from the United States for decades. And despite Dr. A. Q. Khan’s theft of Western nuclear secrets, which allowed Pakistan to produce nuclear weapons, and despite the transfer of knowledge by Pakistan to both Iran and North Korea, you — and I, and every American — continue to pay Jizyah to Pakistan.
For a few brief shining moments, the Americans (and even the Europeans) halted Jizyah payments to the “Palestinian” “Authority,” which is neither “Palestinian” but rather Arab, nor an “Authority,” but rather a local collection of warlords and bribe-takers, each more corrupt and violent than the next. But how eager they are, those Americans (and of course those Europeans) to resume payment of that Jizyah on any pretense, with any excuse. Any figleaf of an accord between Abu Mazen (nom de Jihad of Mahmoud Abbas) and Hamas will do. Abu Mazen’s smooth words (a “man of peace” Bush calls him — the same Bush who looked into the soul of Vladimir Putin and liked what he saw) and any pretense that he accepts, in the absurd formulation, “Israel’s right to exist,” will trigger the turning of the tap of Jizyah by those eager and confused Americans and by those Europeans, who can hardly hold that Jizyah in any longer, who just have to relieve themselves of it, they can hardly stand it, please let us start the Jizyah again, oh please.
Meanwhile, the Muslim Arab states have taken in ten trillion dollars since 1973 in oil and gas revenues, money that they received not through any entrepreneurial flair or industry on the part of their peoples, but merely through an accident of geology. Nevertheless, they are delighted to pay nothing to those fellow members of the Umma that somehow forgot to be endowed with massive oil wealth — Egypt, Pakistan, Jordan, the “Palestinian” “Authority” — and even more delighted to let the Infidels spend tens of billions of dollars to support those “poor” Muslim peoples and polities, giving them aid that is not given, by the way, to all kinds of poor non-Muslim states all over the world. What could be more fitting than this? It accords with what Allah and Muhammad require, it puts the Infidels in the proper, subservient relationship to Muslims, and it also confirms, to Muslims, that indeed they are owed a living. And that living comes for the rich Muslim states and statelets through the vast sums, swelled by oligopolistic rents, received from Infidel oil-consuming nations — including the United States, hindered at every step since 1973 from having effective, long-term energy policies, because of the dreamy belief, encouraged by an army of Saudi-funded Western hirelings, that the Saudis “will take care of oil pricing for us.”
And the others, the Muslim countries without oil wealth, or a great many of them, receive aid from Infidel states — those same oil-consuming nations — and not from their fabulously rich fellow Muslims, some of whom live in statelets with a few hundred thousand souls and receive tens of billions every year. Infidel aid, thus, is received by Muslims as by right, and given by Infidels as if it simply must be. Everyone talks and acts as if this is the natural course of things, unnaturally and briefly interrupted. The minute some verbal figleaf-formula is found enabling the Fast Jihad (Hamas) to hide behind the Slow Jihad (Abu Mazen and Fatah), the Jizyah is resumed. The Slow Jihadists continue to be regarded, despite all the present evidence and all the evidence of 1350 years of unshakeable Islamic doctrine, as wanting a “permanent peace with Israel,” when of course they want no such thing.
No one asks why such aid to the “Palestinians” should be renewed by the Infidels, given the vast Arab and Muslim wealth from oil, and given the huge expenses Infidels now incur in protecting themselves from Muslim violence of all kinds, and given that there is no reason for Infidels to support Muslims in any case. Nor does anyone ask why it should ever have been started in the first place. And as the habit of Jizyah payments has been acquiesced to by the Infidel governments in Western Europe and even North America, such acquiescence has helped prepare the right pyschological attitude, the attitude conducive to Muslim domination, and even conquest, through means other than force of arms.
Like it? No, I thought you wouldn’t. And I don’t either. Write your Congressmen. Raise hell. Stop the Jizyah to people whose belief-system makes them view us as their permanent enemies. Make them behave. Make them stop attempting to impose upon us a disguised Jizyah that is looking more and more undisguised for those with eyes to see, every day.
Stop the damn Jizyah.
